The Young master's fake bride and her lucky system-Chapter 530: Anything to make her happy.
Chapter 530: Anything to make her happy.
From the Eiffel tower they went to the love locked bridge and did the very cliche things that Alix hated and she took the lead eagerly.
After locking the padlock, she wrapped her hands around her neck and smiled.
"Now you are mine forever, this padlock proves it." She sealed the promise with a kiss.
He did not mention the fact that their was no supernatural ability in the padlocks or the bridge to actually guarantee that someone was tied to you romantically forever. In fact, the ring on her finger had more meaning than the padlock as it was a visible of their marital status to themselves and strangers.
Caishen just went along with her. He applied the anything to make my wife happy strategy and told his big brain to shut up and enjoy the kiss.
He broke the kiss off after a minute because there was more dating to do. "Let’s go somewhere else, we can take a river cruise, visit an art gallery, tour Giverny Monet’s house and gardens or go to the Versailles palace. There are also castles we can see, as long you don’t burn them down."
She rolled her eyes at him and his ridiculous suggestion. She was not a story book dragon that went around setting fires on castles and kidnapping princesses for no reason.
"On my honor." she raised her hand.
Aang took them away from there at a nod of Caishen’s head.
Finally, after three hours of touring every romantic spot she wanted to visit and a few shops that sold sweet treats, they finally returned to the chateau and nobody was happier than Aang.
He couldn’t wait to ditch the couple and he escaped them the moment he got a chance. When he left, they were already kissing again, going at it hot and heavy with a clear indication of what was going to happen next.
Aang went in search of Mantis who was still the other system hosts at the pool party which had become wilder, louder and more system hosts had showed up.
"You are back," She searched behind him for the happy couple. "Where are they?"
Aang made a puking gesture with his face. "I left them making out and on their way to the bedroom to do indescribable things to each other. They could not stop professing their love to each other every other minute or keep their hands off each other Mantis, i could smell the love in the air. They are like newly weds in a honeymoon phase. She told him that he should not die before her."
He huffed and raised frustrated hands in the air like it was the most insane thing he had ever heard.
"What is she going to do? Get a life and death system, find a cure to immortality or off herself over his casket if he dies before her?"
Mantis chuckled and smacked her lips. Aang was not even finished complaining jealously.
"She...no, it wasn’t just her but of them. They did the titanic i am flying scene on the deck of the Eiffel tower and then we went down, she did the she said yes while showing off her ring with a bouquet of roses move. Ridiculous that pair, very ridiculous." Aang shook his arms like a chill had just passed through him.
Mantis fell back on the lounge chair and chuckled even more. The titanic movie on the Eiffel tower, how cringe!!!
"They are as sweet as sugar and honey those two." he moved to sit down and squeeze himself besides Mantis.
Before his butt could touch a cushion, two strong arms grabbed him by the waist and he was hurled into the swimming pool.
Because he had teleportation abilities, Aang barely touched the water and he reappeared where he had been.
"Oris, you asshole." he yelled.
Aang was not a fun of the stupid game where other system hosts tried to throw him into the pool, taking turns to catch him off guard. They did it at every pool party whenever they got together and they had so many pool parties, at least three a month.
It was not just pool parties but other kinds of parties as well. It was done to share information, have fun, share their troubles and catch up.
"I told you not to play this stupid game anymore. One of these days i will drop one of you in the Bermuda triangle or an active volcano." Aang threatened.
The large man was unbothered and he shrugged. "One of these days pretty boy, one of these days." He walked away shouting, "Hey Raf, i failed again."
Aang sat down with a huff and he downed the rest of Mantis’s drink. She didn’t complain but sat up, crossed her legs and faced him with seriousness on her face.
"So, Alix for world bureau president, what do you think?"
Aang put down the glass and he thought about the Alix he knew from school as a teenager and in adulthood as a mature woman. While she was persistent, focused, loyal, kind and had many other good attributes, her temper was quite hot. She was the kind to go from zero to a hundred at the snap of a finger.
"I think she is crazy." he responded honestly.
Mantis deflated a little, crazy was not good world bureau president material. It was a term that could be used to paint Alix in a negative light.
"But, crazy is what we need." Aang added. "Rational candidates have not achieved anything so far so maybe the one that acts first and thinks about consequences later will succeed where others failed."
He saw one of the chateau servants bringing fresh drinks and he stopped the man and took the entire tray.
"Please bring us some cheese burgers, beef skewers and mashed potatoes. Oh and rice too, fried rice."
"I saw Alix eating cup noodles, give us some of that as well and dessert, lots of it." Mantis chipped in with her own food order.
This chateau was owned by the Chinese bureau, they always knew what to do when there was a party or guests. Food had been prepared in plenty along with drinks. The party would run long just like the other parties and it would end at three or four in the morning. Everyone would find the nearest bedroom to sleep, some of them would just sleep on the lounge chairs outside and the really wasted ones on the ground.
"So, what’s the plan for getting her elected?"
Mantis touched her eyes and Aang got the message, she wanted him to deactivate the cameras in his eyes just like everyone else at the paper that had cameras in their eyes.
Mantis got a piece of paper and a pen that she handed to Aang. "If you want in you have to sign this document first. Everyone here has already signed and expressed their willingness to stand with us. This is a record, proof that we live and die together. It’s a guarantee that you are willing to do the necessary to bring about change while keeping our secrets."
Aang picked up a glass full of a pink cocktail, tossed out the small umbrella and olives. He chugged the liquid down in two gulps.
"Gimme." he got the paper and signed it. "Crazy lady for world bureau president, it’s both exciting and scary. I just hope she doesn’t burn us all in the process."
