Chapter 516: New season, new Alix.

As the snow started to melt, ushering in a new season, Alix’s first violin concert arrived and she could not have been more excited for it.

Along with the new season a new Alix was ushered in, one with shorter hair and more focus on her music as she didn’t want to embarrass herself.

The first stop was Germany, surprisingly, as those within the fold that knew about the Heinrich family and the events that had followed after their request did not expect her to step foot in that country. However, Alix was not a coward and the concert tickets had been sold out. She didn’t want to disappoint her loyal fans.

The day was finally here, and some of her dreams were being fulfilled.

As she waited to be called onto the stage, she took a picture of herself and her violin which she posted on one of her social media pages.

#First solo violin concert, pray for me.

She was about to hand the phone over to Wu Xiaocai her bureau assigned assistant that was extremely efficient at her job when Caishen called. They had spoken about thirty minutes ago and he wished her good luck. Why was he calling again?

"Hubby Zhang, are you that worried about me?"

"It’s you sister hulk, the strongest woman in the world so i don’t need to worry about anything. I sent Mo Sen to the hospital to make sure that the Lin’s watch your concert. I will make sure that they watch each and everyone of them. I just wanted to share this good news with you."

She laughed in earnest, recalling that she had always promised herself that some day, they would all see her shining all over the world and they would regret their life’s decisions.

Ever since her last visit to the hospital however, she had forgotten about them completely. It was amazing how all thought of them had evaporated from her mind completely. Thinking about them now did not even stir her in any way. She neither cared if they saw her succeed, she was done with them.

But if her hubby wanted to punish them on her behalf, he was welcome to do so.

"I will be sure to give them a performance that they will forever remember."

"Remember to use the gum if you get too anxious." he reminded her.

"Yes..." she answered sweetly.

"Break a leg." he encouraged.

"Are you sure that you want to say that to me?" she laughed slowly.

As someone with the physical ability to break anyone’s legs, this encouragement was perhaps not the best one.

"You are in Germany, in the same city where the Heinrich family resides. I mean it babe, break a leg if you have to on and off the stage."

Caishen was very serious in his response and she detected it in his voice, the worry. He had tried so hard not to express it at home but she knew.

Alix folded her lips together and smiled.

"You know me, i am nothing if not resilient. Hubby, i have to go now, it’s time."

She ended the call, put the phone in her bag and handed it to Wu Xiaocai. Bi Cang and Third knife were there too, keeping an eye an Xiaocai and protecting her at the same time. Caishen wanted her to go with more guards but she turned him down because the bureau had sent its own people to follow her.

She was as well protected as the prime minister of the country at this rate. Nothing, and nobody was going to reach her if they could help it.

Alix, in her long black dress stepped onto the stage after an introduction was made and an applause. The stage lighting was dim and there were other concert players on stage in the shadows, a pianist, a cellist, a drummer and others that had prepared to accompany her on these tours.

The piano player started playing first and without a moment’s hesitation, under a spotlight, Alix put her violin in the right position and joined him.

She played a piece she had written after listening to the canaries and other birds on the first world in the game.

In the audience, grandma Tai dabbed at the corners of her eyes, wiping away the little tears. Alix had told her that the first song was dedicated to her and she had written it for her. This was because she liked the canaries so much and sometimes, she would send someone to bring them over to the old Tai house and a few days later they would be taken back to the school or Alix’s house.

Alix didn’t even know that all of them had come to support her. The whole Tai family, grandpa and grandma Zhang and Caishen.

Caishen had even bought for Holea and Jin Kang tickets because they deserved to be there for Alix’s first solo violin concert. Only the younger ones had stayed back.

Fifty minutes later, it was finished and after a standing ovation. an interview and photo op, Alix was escorted back to her hotel room where she found everyone already waiting with smiles, champagne and a Black forest cake.

"Surprise." They yelled out.

Genuinely, Alix was surprised because she did not expect to see any of them there, especially not Caishen that was supposed to be on a business trip in another country. He had talked to her so calmly before she took center stage and not given a single clue away.

As for her brothers, everyone was busy with work so she had asked them not to come as it was not necessary, her last concert was in her home country anyway so they would see her on stage eventually.

"You guys...." she cried out and held her arms out, asking for hugs.

Grandma Tai hugged her first, pushing her husband aside mercilessly.

"I loved it, i loved it all. It really reminded me of birds singing early in the morning. And the second one, i saw myself as a younger girl walking through a field of flowers. The third one was very exciting, it made your grandfather’s blood boil." She whispered, "I did not tell your grandfather that the first song was written for me otherwise he would die of jealousy and pout until you write one for him."

After the paintings, Alix was inclined to agree with her grandmother.

From her grandmother’s arms, Alix was passed around and everyone got their turn to hug her and congratulate her. They also stayed for a while and accompanied her in celebration as her first solo concert was officially a success and the reviews that were coming in were positive.

When it was time to say goodbye, most of them expressed sadness and reluctance to leave.

"I am so sad that i will not be able to follow you to Paris." auntie Mo expressed sadly.

"You cannot follow me everywhere mama." Alix laughed.

Auntie Mo grabbed onto her tightly and sighed sadly. "Our baby, take care of yourself. Make sure that you eat three...no, six meals a day."

Chairman Tai had to step in and separate them forcefully. Everyone was booked on the same flight back home and they they needed to leave in time. Even Caishen was not allowed to stay back by the chairman because he wanted his daughter to rest.

When she was alone finally, with only Majesty, Alix finally took a look at the picture Mo Sen had sent and she laughed.

Lin Billi in tears was just as delicious as the cake she had just eaten.
