The Web of Knightspur-Chapter 94: Do not wish
Nia walked into the room as she saw princess Eleanor sitting on the bed in a daze.
"Princess?" Nia said as she walked towards the Princess as she stood beside her.
"Yes," Princess Eleanor came back to reality. Her eyes stayed on Nia who had something to talk about. "Did you find something?"
Nia shook her head, "No, Although I did not find any poison in the cream, but it is not safe. It has some irritants in them. Although it might help with Princess’s scar, it might also irritate your wound."
"Understood. If she had used it, then Princess Vida would have known it too," Princess Eleanor smiled as she narrowed her eyes. "Don’t forget to send the soaps her way."
Nia was confused. She could not understand what was going on in Princess Eleanor’s mind. "Which one?" She asked in a trembling voice. Nia bit her lips nervously.
She knew that she had to send a rose soap if there was no poison and a salvia flower soap if there was but now she was completely lost. There was no poison but there were irritants.
Princess Eleanor smiled, "Both." She looked up at her lady in waiting, "A little irritant would not harm her."
Nia nodded her head. She understood what Princess Eleanor wanted to do. She wanted to irritate Princess Vida’s skin but did not want her to suffer.
Nia nodded her head as she took out the rose soap that she had prepared before rubbing the perfume over it. She looked up only to see Princess Eleanor observing her.
"Don’t use a lot of it. We have a limited number of things that we have made through it." Princess Eleanor said.
Nia got up from the fair as she walked toward the Princess. "Princess, we do have the seeds with us. Where should we.."
"We cannot plant it here. I do not trust anyone right now or anything. I think the only man that I could trust for now is Sir Kit and as for Lady Gisella, I am not sure but I feel like she only has Sir Kit’s best interest in hand. Anyway, I think if we want to plant the seeds then maybe Duke Beaumont’s garden can be a good place."
"But the Princess will not stay there for long," Nia said as she looked at Princess Eleanor. "We have to return to the Royal Palace. Won’t it be better if we have them in the Royal Palace’s greenhouse?"
Princess Eleanor shook her head, "Nia, are you forgetting why we needed to make the perfumes and soaps? We can not plant anything on the Royal ground without permission. And the way Sir Kit had reacted knowing that we were about to take some planets with us, I have a feeling that even if we get the permission, all the parts of the plants would be thoroughly examined."
Nia was silent. She did not know how to react. She remembered what Sir Kit had said. "Will it be different at House Beaumont? I have heard the rumors that say that the Grand Duke is not a person to be messed with. Although he still has the right to the throne, but he has long declared that he will not be interested in it. What if he takes this as a rebel and..."
"You are thinking too deeply into this Nia." Princess Eleanor smiled, "I have not yet decided on it. But if I find clues that the Grand Duke was really involved in it then it might be a big problem. Then maybe I will really plant my beautiful flower seed there."
Nia nodded her head. She knew how cunning Princess Eleanor could become at times. "I understand. I will give it to Princess Vida."
"Pass it on to her lady in waiting," Princess Eleanor said with a smile.
Nia nodded her head as she moved outside. Although her body moved toward the room provided for Cenid Kingdom’s Princess, Nia’s mind was still occupied by Princess Eleanor’s words.
Princess Eleanor looked at the closed door as she closed her eyes. She was still feeling uneasy as she tried to maintain her calm. The poison was slowly acting up and she did not feel like eating anything.
"I managed to drink the tea as if nothing was wrong in front of Lady Gisella but I do not know how long this will happen." Princess Eleanor murmured under her breath. "I need to make sure that if my body is going to reject the food, I do it in front of the Priest and the healers."
Princess Eleanor took a deep breath. She knew that something was wrong with the Priest. The way personally came made Princess Eleanor understand how much importance they put on this.
’Is it because I am a candidate for the Crown Princess?’ Princess Eleanor thought, ’This should not be the case. The second prophecy is yet to come so why did he come?’
Princess Eleanor could not understand. Her eyes were filled with uncertainty as she bit her lips nervously. ’Is it related to his pride as the High Priest?’
The more Princess Eleanor thought about it, the more sure she became. Priest Erasmus was known in the Empire and beyond to be the youngest and the most powerful Priest. He was said to have the strongest connection with God. And when such a person cannot be trusted to cure a simple wound, then it created a major distrust of him.
Princess Eleanor knew that if this happened, the temple’s reputation would degrade and that would lead to a major problem with the Royal Family.
Princess Eleanor had read it in the history book, The only reason that the Royal Family have ruled over the centuries and there is only one heir in each generation is because of the Priest and their connection with God. God wanted them to rule. So if the people’s trust in the temple disrupts their trust in the Royal family will be affected too.
Princess Eleanor smiled, ’Priest Erasmus’s ego is hurt so he will make sure to cure me. Too bad that I do not wish to be cured for now.’
