The Web of Knightspur-Chapter 132
Sir Kit saw the letters and started reading through them.
Nia one knows how much time has passed but one was sure that it was not merely a few hours.
Sir Kit rubbed his eyes in irritation. "What are we searching for exactly?"
Princess Eleanor did not respond. Sir Kit did not hear any voice coming his way as he looked towards the bed. The distance between the bed and the table was not large but it was not near too. Sir Kit could not help but get up from the chair as he walked toward the bed.
As his steps progressed he saw the clear face of Princess Eleanor. Her face was glowing under the dim light as her eyes fluttered. A peal of soft laughter left his mouth as he looked at Princess Eleanor.
"I thought we were searching for something and yet here you are in deep sleep." Sir Kit’s voice was low. He knew that the Princess would not be able to listen to her but he somehow felt like he needed to say the words out loud. He wanted the Princess to know how he was feeling but Sir Kit was also afraid to dig deeply into it.
"Princess does not understand my heart. To be honest, even though I did not understand it in the beginning but slowly I knew that this is the way things are going to be. I am going to act like your escort, someone you can trust and you are going to give me orders. But what will happen when you leave this mansion?" Sir Kit sat on the bed slowly, making sure that the Princess did not wake up.
Sir Kit’s hand moved towards Princess Eleanor’s face. He wanted to touch her face. Somehow he got used to touching her. It was an addictive feeling but Sir Kit stopped his hands midway.
Instead of Princess Eleanor’s face, he touched her hair. A smile formed on his face as he blinked his eyes. "I do not want you to go to the Royal Palace. Is it too much to ask from a Princess? I am afraid that if you go there I might not see you again. Or maybe I will see you but not like it."
Sir Kit’s eyes narrowed as he took a deep breath. "I know this is wrong. I have no right to do this, but there is no reason to deny it at all. Princess, I do not want you to marry anyone else. I do not want you to go to the Royal Palace and like the Crown Prince. The mere thought of it boils my blood. But.."
Sir Kit swallowed hard, "But I think there is still time. Yes, there is still time. I will tell you how I feel soon Princess. I hope at that time you are not sleeping and I will be able to get an answer." 𝚏𝗿𝗲𝐞𝚠𝕖𝐛𝗻𝗼𝐯𝕖𝚕.𝚌𝗼𝗺
Sir Kit said in a small tone. He moved his body forward as he placed a small kiss on Princess Eleanor’s forehead. There was a feeling of sweetness in the air as soon as he turned around and saw the stacks of letters Sir Kit’s eyes turned sharp.
Sir Kit did not waste any time. He moved a little as he picked up all the letters and kept them aside. He knew that there were only a few letters remaining to see. Sir Kit sighed as he placed the letters on the table before moving back to the bed.
Princess Eleanor was sleeping like a baby. Her body was curled a little. Sir Kit could feel that maybe the Princess was feeling a little cold. He sighed as he covered the Princess with a blanket before touching her cheeks one last time.
Sir Kit could see Princess Eleanor’s eyes flutter as he smiled. But soon he walked towards the chair, taking his position again, and started evaluating the letters. He knew that due to his heavy work he would not be able to give Princess Eleanor more time. All he could provide her now is his support.
Sir Kit was still in a dilemma of why would the Princess move to the Beaumont mansion. He knew that the best way to answer that question is to wait and watch.
Sir Kit did not waste any more time as he started to work on the letter reading everything along the way. His eyes narrowed as he read slowly,
’Why is the Princess always in the garden? What is making her love gardening so much?’
’Is Princess Eleanor fine? When is she planning to come to the Royal Palace? She is still the Princess. Isn’t she missing the castle life?’
’Is Princess Eleanor sick? She should stay away from everything and isolate herself. After all, she is allergic to many things?’
’Did the Princess have a severe allergic reaction? Is she treating herself?’
Sir Kit’s eyes narrowed as she read letter after letter where Duke Felix was giving his opinion and view about how Princess Eleanor should behave. Initially, anyone who reads it will think that a good friend is worried about his other friend but Sir Kit knew that it was not the case. There was a pattern in the letters.
The letters will first talk about how Princess Eleanor was doing. Then it will ask what is up to and once Nia replies, Duke Felix will make sure to add a line in his next letter for her to take care of herself because something will happen, and in the next letter Nia will report that something did happen and the Princess is unwell. And the acting words will flow.
It felt as if Duke Felix was making Princess Eleanor suffer by jinxing her through the letters. It was funny to see how things had played only because some of the words were said by Nia.
Sir Kit opened the last letter that Nia had received. Sir Kit’s eyes narrowed as he read through it. He was not evaluating it based on a love letter, he was searching for clues until his eyes stopped at a particular line.
