Chapter 125: Chapter 125

Commander Colt knew that he had no other option than to follow Princess Eleanor’s words.

The Princess had used her words to trap him. Even if Commander Colt wanted to change the direction of the talk he could not do that.

Commander Colt could not help but nod his head. "I will follow your order." He looked straight into Princess Eleanor’s eyes as he swallowed. "The Princess can trust me."

Princess Eleanor narrowed her eyes. She nodded her head. "I expect to get an answer to my question by night."

Commander Colt nodded his head as he bowed before turning around. He walked out of the door and he closed it slowly, making sure not to look at Princess Eleanor. As soon as he closed the door he took a deep breath.

Commander Colt could feel his heartbeats fastened. He had never felt this nervous before. The only one who could bring out such emotion in him is the Lord. All he knew was that the Lord was the most terrifying existence but now it seems like there was some competition brewing up.

Commander Colt told one last look at the closed door as he shook his head. He did not know if his new master was a fairy or a devil. But whatever it was, Commander Colt knew that she was not someone he could think of betraying.

As soon as Commander Colt took a step to walk he could not make a move. A person was standing in front of him.

Commander Colt was silent as he looked at the woman in front of him. She looked straight up at him as if she was not afraid at all.

Nia bowed at the man that was looking down at her. She was in a hurry as she walked past him as she knocked on the door.

"Come in," As soon as Nia heard the words, she opened the door and walked inside leaving the man in confusion.

Commander Colt blinked his eyes. He never felt so confused. His eyes were narrowed as he bit his lips. ’What was that? Did she just ignore me?’ Commander Colt thought.

He had never seen the lady before in the mansion or in the Empire. Commander Colt knew that the princess had brought one lady in waiting with her but he did not get a chance to meet her. ’Maybe she is Princess Eleanor’s lady in waiting.’

Commander Colt’s eyes narrowed as he nodded his head, ’They both have similar temperaments. What was her name again?’ Commander Colt thought. He had heard her name when he was given the information on Princess Eleanor, ’Nia. is it? Yes her name is Nia.’

Nia walked inside as she saw Princess Eleanor sitting on the chair as she smiled. "Princess, I have something to tell you."

Nia was in a hurry to come clean. She was afraid, to tell the truth to Princess Eleanor. Although she did not consider it as the truth, but she was confused. The feelings were overwhelming and thus she could not bring herself to say anything.

But now during the trip, she had calmed herself down. She understood the position she was in. Nia wanted to tell Princess Eleanor her decision. She wanted her to know what she will be doing starting now.

"Is it related to Duke Felix?" Princess Eleanor asked. As soon as she saw Nia nod her head as moved the chair that was beside her as she looked at Nia, "Sit here and talk,"

Nia was confused. She did not want to be a burden on Princess Eleanor but she also did not want to be someone who did not know how to tackle the situation. Nia nodded her head as she walked towards the chair and she took a seat.

"Princess, the Duke..." Nia was trying to explain but she could not come up with a proper explanation. Her tone was shivering as she took a deep breath.

"Nia, calm down." Princess Eleanor touched Nia’s hand as she could feel her shivering. "Is it related to his marriage?"

Nia looked up at the Princess in shock. She could not believe that the princess had guessed it right. She swallowed hard as she looked at the side. "Yes," 𝑓𝓇𝘦ℯ𝘸𝘦𝑏𝓃𝑜𝘷ℯ𝑙.𝑐𝑜𝓂

"Is there a reason that you refuse to look at me?" Princess Eleanor’s hold on Nia’s hand tightened, "We are good friends Nia. It is something that we both cherish. A friendship that is beyond status."

Princess Eleanor blinked her eyes as she softened her tone, "Shouldn’t we try and understand each other’s emotions."

Nia nodded her head. Tears started falling down her cheeks as she bit her lips. She was afraid that she would cry and trouble the Princess.

Princess Eleanor got up from the chair as she walked toward Nia. She hugged her old friend as she let her cry. Princess Eleanor knew that Nia was hurt and she wanted to vent her emotions. And crying was the only way out.

Princess Eleanor moved her fingers along Nia’s spine, trying hard to calm her down. "It’s okay Nia. You don’t have to force yourself to tell me. It is something between you and him."

Nia held onto Princess Eleanor’s clothes as she cried wholeheartedly. Her tears refused to stop as she shook her head. "I wan...want to sa... say..."

Princess Eleanor was silent. She knew at this point Nia wanted a friend who would just listen to her and not tell her anything. No one liked to hear that they were wrong when their emotions were already on the brink of explosion.

Princess Eleanor was blaming her childhood friend, Duke Felix. Her anger towards him increased as she saw Nia’s condition. Her innocent friend had suffered so much. She had refused to fall in love with anyone else just because she loved him and he promised her that he would marry her and give her a rightful position. ’I told you not to hurt her, Felix.’ Princess Eleanor’s eyes darkened.
