Chapter 119: [Bonus Chapter] Chapter 119

Princess Eleanor did not know what to say. Her mind was a mess.

"I don’t know what you are talking about?" Princess Eleanor moved her head inside the carriage as if she was afraid of Sir Kit’s next question.

"The Princess knows exactly what I am saying. Even if the Princess thinks that I am a man who can’t see anything, I know it all." Sir Kit’s voice came inside the carriage and it made Princess Eleanor’s heart beat faster. All she could do right now was swallow hard and close her eyes thinking that this will soon be over.

"Sir Kit thinks he knows me?" Princess Eleanor asked when she had calmed herself down. She knew that she would not like the answer to that question but she could not help herself.

The tone by which Sir Kit talked to her made her feel like he thought he had an unknown power over her just because she liked him.

’Wait, do I like him?’ Princess Eleanor blinked her eyes in confusion. Her thoughts were getting entangled into themselves. She shook her head as she took a deep breath

Princess Eleanor looked outside as she saw Sir Kit looking inside straight into her eyes. Princess Eleanor’s heart started beating faster. She did not know what was happening to her but she felt like she needed to control her urges now. This was getting dangerous and she should know how to tackle this.

"Sir Kit. You are an escort and so is he. I can talk freely to him as well." Princess Eleanor said in a soft tone. There was no confidence in her tone as she was nervous.

"Yes, how can I forget? Princess Eleanor knows how to tame her escorts and use them to her fullest." Sir Kit leaned near the carriage window as he maintained the pace with it. "After all, Princess Eleanor had tamed me and now she has a new target."

Sir Kit smiled as his eyes glowed darker, "Is the princess planning to do the same with your new escort?"

Princess Eleanor swallowed hard. She shook her head subconsciously. She was afraid that one wrong move and everything she had tried to build would come crashing down.

"Sir Kit is thinking too much. I simply wanted to ask how long it will take for us to reach the Beaumont Mansion." Princess Eleanor said in a soft tone as if she was trying to make a child understand something that he did not want to. "And Sir Kit should also know that the relationship between us is different."

Sir Kit laughed as he said, "And how is it different?" His eyes looked straight at Princess Eleanor’s as he tilted his head, "And how is that?"

"Isn’t it?" Princess Eleanor blinked her eyes innocently, "I always thought that we were special. And now you are asking me how’s that? I feel betrayed and confused. We are someone who trusts each other."

Sir Kit was silent as he looked forward. His gaze stayed focused in a particular direction. "Is that so?"

Princess Eleanor nodded her head. there was a smile on her face as she giggled, "Yes, I do not trust people so easily and knowing you I know that even you do not trust anyone so simply. What we share is trust. I trust you that you will keep me safe."

"And what do I trust you with?" Sir Kit asked. He looked at Princess Eleanor as he saw her gaze filled with confusion. "You said that we both trust each other so what do I trust you with?"

Princess Eleanor had no answer to that. She knew that she had just said the words to distract Sir Kit’s attention.

’I have no words that could defend it.’ Princess Eleanor bit her lips. But she knew that she had to come up with an answer soon. The man was waiting for her and Princess Eleanor knew that she was not in a situation where she could make him wait longer.

"Sir Kit doesn’t trust me?" Princess Eleanor’s eyes turned soft. Her face looked pale as she closed her eyes as if she was sad. "I always felt like you trusted me. We had something special going on and yet you are..."

Princess Eleanor’s words choked at the end. She could not finish her sentence as her face was filled with disappointment.

"I think like me, princess Eleanor also knows how to act." Sir Kit laughed as if he was seeing something funny. His gaze was filled with unknown emotions.

Princess Eleanor’s body shivered. Her throat was full of words to defend herself but she could not say them out loud.

Princess Eleanor was not confident that she would be able to say something without making her voice tremble. She looked at the man in a mask as she leaned near the window of the carriage. 𝑓𝑟ℯ𝘦𝓌𝘦𝘣𝑛𝑜𝓋𝑒𝓁.𝑐ℴ𝓂

Sir Kit looked at Princess Eleanor. He smiled at her, talking about his house near her window. He leaned his body towards her as he whispered in her ears, "Let me tell you something, Princess Eleanor. It is very important to listen carefully. We are special. We really are but it is not related to trust."

Sir Kit moved away from Princess Eleanor as he saw the shock on her face. Sir Kit could not help but chuckled as he saw her swallowing hard as if it was the only thing she could think of at the moment.

Princess Eleanor blinked her eyes nervously. She did not know how to express her feelings anymore. She didn’t even know her real feelings for now. What was the meaning behind Sir Kit’s words? What was he trying to say? So many questions revolved in her mind when she heard Sir Kit’s voice again.

"And about trust, I think that we do have trust. As you say that you trust me to keep you safe. And I trust you that in the future you will keep my secret safe as well." Sir kit smiled as he touched Princess Eleanor’s loose string of hair. "And Princess.."

Princess Eleanor looked at Sir Kit as she listened, "We have reached the Beaumont mansion."
