Chapter 108: Chapter 108

Princess Eleanor was silent.

They all sat at the table with a smile on their face ready to have dinner but all of their smiles were fake. Nothing was genuine.

Princess Eleanor looked at the food that was in front of her. Her gaze turned soft as she shook her head. Princess Eleanor waited for the Crown Prince to go shear with his discussion. If she was to believe Lady Gisella’s words then the man was going to tell everyone that she would not be going back to the Royal Palace.

Princess Eleanor took a deep breath as she tried to maintain her cool;. She soon opened her eyes as she looked at Princess Vida who was sitting opposite her.

Lady Gisella’s words rotated in her mind. She could know the true face of the Princess today but somewhere she thought that she already knew.

"Soon Princess Eleanor could hear a spoon clicking on the glass as she looked at the side on;y to see the Crown Prince ready to say something.

Crown Prince Richard stood straight. He was at the head of the table position. Princess Eleanor looked sideways. They were occupying the central position where all the Princesses and the Priest and Priestess sat along with the Royals, while a small set of tables were arranged surrounding them for the noble.

Princess Eleanor observed that the people were arranged according to their grades. The closest to them was the table where Lady Gisella sat. Princess Eleanor knew that this must be the table for the Grand Duke.

But she could not see the man himself. Princess Eleanor bit her lips. She could not understand what was happening to her, but she wished that she could see the man. Was it because Sir Kit worked for him or any other reason but she wanted to know it.

"I would like everyone present to pay attention to me," Princess Eleanor heard the Crown Prince’s displeased voice as she turned around to look at the man. Her gaze shivered as she saw Crown Prince Richard’s eyes on her.

Princess Eleanor took a deep breath as she smiled. Her eyes showed no emotions as she was not looking anywhere else. As if she was only looking around casually.

Crown Prince Richard’s eyes narrowed as an unsettling aura surrounded his body. He was not happy with what he was seeing. He moved his gaze over everyone present as he curled his lips.

"As per God’s wish, all the Princesses will be coming to the Royal Palace. We will make sure that all the Princesses will get their separate wings in the outer palace till the time we identify the chosen one." The Crown Prince’s eyes moved towards Priest Erasmus who was sitting there with a smile on his face.

Priest Erasmus knew what the Crown Prince was trying to do. He was trying to create an environment that would make all the nobility understand his stand. Priest Erasmus nodded his head as he saw Crown Prince Richard’s lips curled up.

"I hope all the Princesses will enjoy their stay in the Royal Palace." Crown Prince Richard looked at Princess Eleanor as he said, "But one," 𝗳𝚛𝗲𝕖𝕨𝕖𝗯𝚗𝚘𝕧𝕖𝗹.𝗰𝗼𝕞

The air around the hall stiffened. Small murmurs started spreading in the room and soon a wave of silence spread when Priest Erasmus stood up suddenly.

None of the nobles knew what was happening. No one could tell what would happen next. Priest Erasmus was young but he also knew that interrupting the Royal family was not something that a Priest could do, even if he was the only link between God and them.

All the nobles looked around nervously. The Princesses were afraid and their expression changed. Why would the crown Prince say that all of them were going to the Royal Palace except one? Who was the one that was not going?

Priest Erasmus smiled as he observed everyone’s reaction around him. It felt like he was enjoying what he was seeing. "As we all know one of the Princesses was hurt while she was traveling. God wants everyone to be happy and safe in the Empire, especially the one who could be the Crown Princess. The chief healer had tried to cure the Princess but she was poisoned."

Everyone’s eyes turned towards Princess Eleanor. They all knew that she was the one who was harmed. Especially all the Princesses who had seen Princess Eleanor during the brunch.

As soon as all the eyes were focused on her, Princess Eleanor’s body shivered. She did not know how to react as she took a deep breath. Her gaze looked down as she bit her lips in irritation.

Princess Eleanor did not like being the center of attraction. She hated when everyone looked at her as if she were seeing an interesting thing, in this case, something that made Priest Erasmus change his mind.

All the noble’s eyes moved from Princess Eleanor to Priest Erasmus. Everyone knew that the temple and Doctor Raul were not on good terms. Although the temple did not say it out loud, but everyone in the circle was well aware that they resented it when people looked for Doctor Raul.

And for such a man to openly go and tell everyone else that their healers could not find a cure was a big thing.

Priest Erasmus observed everyone’s reaction. He smiled as he looked at the Crown prince as if asking for his help.

Crown Prince Richard smiled as he nodded his head. He looked around as he said, "So to cure Princess Eleanor from an unknown danger and to receive the next prophecy we will request House Beaumont and doctor Raul for help."

Crown Prince Richard did not say anything else but he simply looked at the table where only Lady Gisella sat with a smile. Lady Gisella saw the gaze on her as she smiled. She raised her glass as if she understood the hidden threat as she said, "House Beaumont will not disappoint the Royal Family."

"Yes, I hope it does not," The Crown Prince raised his glass before taking a sip with a meaningful gaze at Lady Gisella
