Chapter 103: Chapter 103

Lady Gisella was in a daze as she walked toward the Princess’s room. She had known that the Princess was in a good mood today.

Nia was walking toward Princess Eleanor’s room as she smiled along the way.

"You look happy?" Lady Gisella said as she saw Nia’s footsteps stop. "Did something good happen?"

Nia nodded her head as she entered the room allowing Lady Gisella to enter. "We will leave this palace tomorrow. What can be more happy than that,"

"So you did not like the place so much?" Lady Gisella asked as she looked around. The room was filled with different dresses and materials. She could see makeup materials at the counter as she observed them keenly.

"Well, the place is making the Princess get sicker day by day," Nia complained. She knew how small of an amount the Princess was able to eat.

Although the effect of the poison had lowered, the Princess still had to pretend to be sick. But Nia was happy. She knew that today was the last day of her suffering.

Lady Gisella nodded her head. She understood what Nia was trying to say. "Is this all for today’s dinner banquet?"

Nia nodded her head as she walked inside. They could see Princess Eleanor sitting on the bed reading something important. It felt as if she was too deeply engrossed in it.

"Princess," Lady Gusella said as she walked toward the princess with a smile.

"Lady Gisella?" Princess Eleanor was not expecting Lady Gisella to come here. She was a little confused as she raised her eyebrows in question. "What brings you here?"

"Well.." Lady Guisella did not know how to react. She was confused as she bit her lips subconsciously. But she knew that she had to say something now that she had entered.

"This is the last day in the temple. I just wanted to make sure that the Princess is in good health." Lady Gisella said as she looked at the Princess with a smile. "It seems that the Princess is ready for tonight’s dinner."

"Well, I need to be. After all, I need to make sure that the crown prince is not interested in me but also make sure that the only friend I made here does not betray me. It is an important day." Princess Eleanor smiled but there was no happiness in her eyes. She closed the book as she walked towards the chair before she offered Lady Gisella to sit.

Lady Gisella was silent as she looked behind the princess. She could see the Princess’s lady in waiting trying to match some clothes there.

Lady Gisella swallowed as she extended her hand. "This is for the Princess."

Princess Eleanor looked down with a confused gaze. She could not understand what was in Lady Gisella’s mind. Why was she offering her a Rose?

"Lady?" Princess Eleanor could not help herself but ask. She felt that she had to know if she wanted to understand what was going on.

Princess Eleanor could see the confusion in Lady Gisella’s eyes. Her gaze was trembling as a layer of nervousness covered them.

"Well," Lady Gisella took a deep breath as she saw Princess Eleanor extending her hand and taking the Rose in her hand. Her fingers touched the petals softly as if she was afraid that something might break the flower into pieces.

"It is beautiful," Princess Eleanor said. She did not want to embellish Lady Gisella while saying something bad. She could see that the Lady was reluctant to say the name and she did not want to force her just because she wanted to know.

"Well, it is a gift from Sir kit." Lady Gisella said as she swallowed hard.

"Sir Kit?" Princess Eleanor’s eyes widened. Her breathing hitched as she looked down at the flower in a new light. She had never thought that Sir Kit could send something like this to her. It was something completely out of the ordinary.

Lady Gisella nodded. "I don’t know from where he got it but Sir Kit had asked me to give it to you. He wants you to wear it if it looks good. I don’t know what he was thinking but he said that he will be looking out for you."

Lady Gisella’s voice was soft as she said in a small tone. She did not want to say such a thing but it was true. Last knight when the Lord gave her the flower it was what he had said to convey.

Lady Gisella could not understand what was going on between the Lord and Princess Eleanor but she knew that she did not have any right to interfere. She had decided to keep her one eye and ear closed and follow the instructions like a puppet. It was much better than overthinking and getting sad.

Princess Eleanor smiled as she looked down at the flower with a smile on her face. She could understand why Sir Kit said so. He had told her that he might not be able to come and meet her for the time being. Or at least till the time, they reach the Beaumont mansion and it worries her.

Princess Eleanor did not want to admit it openly but it made her sad. She wanted to see the man who had a mask on his face and talk with him. It did not matter what topic they talked about, she just wanted them to talk. But then it was not possible if he refused.

Sir kit sending a flower was an indication that he was thinking about her too. And that made her happy. She knew that even though they did not meet, Sir Kit will be looking out for her, no matter what.

Princess Eleanor looked back as she smiled, "Nia, close the red gown I will be wearing this red rose on my hair." The happiness and excitement in her tone were evident as both Nia and Lady Gisella looked at her with wide eyes.
