The Villainess Wants a Divorce:Beast Husbands Regret It to Tears-Chapter 68: This Female Is Interesting
This was the first time recently that several Beast Husbands saw Seraphina Caldwell lose her temper.
In their hearts, Seraphina had always been that gentle, understanding female.
But at this moment, her eyes were burning with anger, her spine straight as an arrow.
Everyone heard it clearly, but no one dared to respond.
Isaac Vaughn tightened his arms.
He held the little beast in his embrace, gently caressing its soft fur with his fingertips.
Wyatt Yardley secretly breathed a sigh of relief; she wasn’t swayed, that’s good.
He stood aside, having been watching Seraphina’s face, fearing that she would be influenced by the seemingly casual but actually probing words of Silas Shaw.
Silas Shaw looked at her raging form, not angry, but instead, a smile curved at the corner of his mouth.
He crossed his arms, leaning against the rock wall at the entrance of the cave, his gaze unabashedly falling on Seraphina.
This female, interesting.
Not only was she beautiful, even when angry, there was a strength that made people’s hearts soften.
She hit his soft spot more than any female he has ever seen.
He suddenly felt that the gentle and meek females from before seemed dull in comparison.
"Alright, I’ll take you there."
Having said that, he strode forward.
He didn’t look back but could feel several gazes on him, especially Wyatt Yardley’s.
Finally, Silas Shaw led them to a secluded cave entrance.
The cave was hidden behind a jumble of rocks on the mountainside, half-covered by dense vines; without close inspection, it wouldn’t be discovered.
Untamed grass grew all around, without even a decent path, clearly untouched for a long time.
"This place is too shabby, not suitable for females like you to live." 𝒻𝑟ℯℯ𝑤𝑒𝑏𝑛𝘰𝓋𝑒𝓁.𝒸𝑜𝘮
Before leaving, Silas Shaw turned around and smiled at Seraphina.
"You’re delicate, if you get cold, no one else will feel your discomfort."
"If you can’t stand it, come find me anytime."
He finished speaking, and left.
Wyatt Yardley stood at the cave entrance, his gaze sweeping over the slippery rock walls, ground full of fallen leaves and dirty water, his brow furrowing tighter and tighter.
In such an environment, he really couldn’t imagine how Seraphina would sleep for a night.
He squatted to pick up dry branches, and carried back a pile of hay, trying to set up a spot where one could lie down.
Though simple, it was the best arrangement he could think of.
"Seraphina, here..."
Wyatt Yardley turned and looked at her.
He knew this place was far beneath the life she once had, but there was no choice at the moment.
He wanted to say "You’re being wronged," but feared it would make her even sadder.
Males were accustomed to hardships since childhood, but females were different, especially Seraphina.
She was pampered by her father since young, even pouting over slightly rough Beast Skin; she had never lived in such a place.
"It’s fine, just one night, we’ll make do."
Seraphina forced a smile, but her heart felt heavy.
She took the Beast Skin Wyatt Yardley handed her, gave it a gentle shake.
Originally, she thought she could see her father upon arriving here.
What was the result?
No sign of him, and was even threatened by Silas Shaw about her father’s whereabouts.
Silas Shaw’s words "Your father’s life is in my hands," still echoed by her ears.
Several Beast Husbands were all stunned.
No one expected that the Seraphina who used to stomp her feet and storm off would now not utter a single complaint.
They remembered the old Seraphina, losing her temper over minor inconveniences.
And now?
Facing such a rundown cave, she remained silent.
Wyatt Yardley was silent for a few seconds, then turned to walk toward the cave entrance.
"I’ll go out hunting, and be back soon."
He knew she needed time and a bit of food to warm herself.
After speaking, he stepped out of the cave in large strides.
Only then did Seraphina snap out of it, quickly asking.
"Is all the meat gone? Will you face danger when you go out? It’s so dark outside, what if there are beasts or people from other tribes?"
Wyatt Yardley heard her and nodded slightly.
"It’s all finished, we shared it at noon, everyone ate to their fill. Don’t worry, the area around the Eagle Clan’s territory is very safe, patrolling sentinels are always around, there won’t be any danger. I’ll be back soon, just stay calm here."
As soon as the words fell, he reached out, skillfully lifted the heavy vines covering the cave entrance.
Kaelan Hawthorne, Evan Orwell, and Gideon Larkin stood up successively, exchanged glances, all said they wanted to go out and find some food.
They didn’t want Seraphina to go hungry alone, nor let Wyatt Yardley bear all the pressure.
Ultimately, only Isaac Vaughn remained, quietly staying by Seraphina’s side.
Isaac Vaughn walked over and gently helped Seraphina onto the thick Beast Skin spread across the ground, then sat beside her.
"Don’t overthink it; rest well. Tomorrow morning, we’ll figure out where your father is, there will definitely be clues."
He truly understood her feelings at the moment.
But he didn’t know what to say to truly comfort her.
After thinking it over, he could only choose to accompany her silently like this.
Seraphina nodded lightly, neither refuting nor speaking.
She slowly leaned into Isaac Vaughn’s warm embrace, body trembling slightly.
Suddenly, a rich aroma of grilled meat wafted into the cave.
Immediately afterward, Silas Shaw’s voice sounded outside.
"Seraphina, I’ve brought some meat for you, eat it while it’s hot."
His words weren’t finished when he already walked into the cave.
In his hands, he carried a large leaf of a thick green plant, on which were three pieces of golden crispy roasted Beast Meat neatly arranged.
Seraphina’s stomach had been grumbling much earlier.
But when faced with the fragrant grilled meat, her gaze only flashed briefly before shifting away quickly.
"My Beast Husbands have gone hunting; I’m going to wait for them to return, so we can eat together."
She was very clear about what Silas Shaw’s intention was.
Unexpectedly, Silas Shaw only gave a cold laugh upon hearing it.
"This area has already been thoroughly cleared by the Eagle Clan’s patrol; all beasts have been driven away. Even when they come back, there’s no chance of finding any meat. It’s just a waste of effort for them to run around."
He said, pushing the leaf with the grilled meat forward, practically to Seraphina’s hand.
"Don’t be at odds with your stomach. This meat is freshly grilled, and it tastes best when hot. When it’s cold, not only is the flavor strong, but the texture is also bad, really hard to eat."
Seraphina, however, turned her head away resolutely.
"Take it away; I won’t touch this meat. I won’t bond with you no matter what you say, I won’t change my mind."
Silas Shaw was suddenly taken aback.
He had lived for so many years, seen many females.
But he had never encountered one who would rather endure hunger than bow down and compromise.
Logically speaking, females are eager to find powerful, and numerous Beast Husbands to rely on.
He was already close to advancing to Blue Rank, his combat strength far exceeding those around her.
Why was she so stubborn and unwilling to change?
"Your father told me directly, those Beast Husbands of yours are unreliable, specifically asked me to find someone truly trustworthy for you."
"I’m stronger than them; bonding with me won’t be a loss for you; instead, you’ll gain more security."
As soon as he spoke, Isaac Vaughn’s gaze sunk sharply.
He feared Seraphina might be swayed by these words, answering out of hesitation.
So he stared fixedly at Seraphina.
"They’re good."
Seraphina immediately retorted.
