A portion of Alexander's focus looked inward, significantly slowing down to match the speed of his colleagues' movements.

Even with the heavy suppression on his physical existence, his speed within himself and ability to perceive his surroundings were beyond anyone's capabilities.

Most of the gathered forces, along with his companions, were now reacting to his departure and the flash of white that devoured most of the darkness.

However, that was the least of their worries, as seas of monstrous and terrifying void creatures were descending on them, relentlessly clashing with the still disoriented and recovering Veilwalkers, Primordials and Gods.

Within nanoseconds, the gathered forces were spread out, forced to put large distances between themselves and the void creatures, especially from the corruption the void creatures exuded.

The surrounding void was vast, incredibly so. However, with the descent of the vile creatures, the gathered forces were forced to back away, being pushed back into the multiverse.

Battle cries, agonising screams, and screeches of terror coalesced into a cacophony of violent eruptions of void essence and corruption. In less than four nanoseconds, the surrounding void became deserted.

Thousands had already been corrupted within the first two nanoseconds, adding to the forces of the void creatures. These newly corrupted Veilwalkers wasted no time charging into the multiverse to do as much damage as possible.

…Time was of the essence, after all.

Meanwhile, from the beginning of the chaos, Alexander's companions had remained idle, silently observing the horrifying massacre and clashes.

They had taken advantage of the fact that they were not encumbered by the Omnisoul, granting them the ability to become untouchable whenever they wished.

Their lives were relatively free from danger, as the only things that could threaten them were the creatures that carried traces of nothingness.

The monstrous void creatures that had descended on them could only helplessly phase through their bodies, doing no damage whatsoever.

The strange phenomenon left the void creatures perplexed, creating an eerie situation in which several god-tier void creatures surrounded the group, silently observing the cohort with their featureless expressions or nightmarish ones.

Some creatures looked like a grotesque fusion between a blob monster and soul-ensnaring red eyes. Others appeared like ethereal monstrosities with undefined, ghastly features.

From the bodies of the vile abominations were waves upon waves of corrupted essence threatening to invade their existence to no avail. Even so, the creatures seemed adamant on targeting the group.

A small smile appeared on Alexander's face as he watched several vassals shudder from the eeriness and grotesqueness of it all. Only a few among them were indifferent to the hideous creatures and their antics.

Ross, in particular, completely ignored their existence while he looked around. After a nanosecond or two, he turned his attention to the surrounding void creatures. Staring at the abominable creatures, his essence flared wildly.

"You all know what to do…" the redhead said, conjuring a greatsword bathed in a menacingly dangerous red brilliance.

The appearance of the greatsword caused the void to twist and turn around the weapon, the destructive essence imbued in it threatening to collapse the void entirely.

Instantly, the void creatures' attention shifted, their disgusting and murderous gazes falling on him. Screeches and predatory clicks resounded, sending more shivers down the spines of the vassals.

Without waiting for a response from the others, the redhead brandished his weapon and lunged at the void creatures, the explosiveness of his take-off shaking the void for a moment.

Next was Julia, who also conjured her radiantly white sword bathed in ultimate cold essence. Abruptly, the void around her froze, essence and Chaosveil all the same.

She spared a glance in Ross's direction before charging at another cohort of void creatures, swiftly disappearing into the multiverse with them and leaving a cold trail behind.

Before long, the others followed, taking along their share of the abominations in different directions.

Their job was the toughest among the forces, as they had to deal with the countless void creatures, subdue as many corrupted beings as possible, and prevent the destruction of universes.

Imbued in them was a map that triangulated the positions of the Veilwalkers, Primordials, and Gods, granting them the power to monitor what they were doing and how.

The multiverse was vast, but they were paragons of power, capable of appearing anywhere as long as there were signs of the beings Alex had marked beforehand.

Alexander had not gathered the forces of the multiverse for nothing. To save the Omnisoul, there had to be universes left to be saved.

Furthermore, the more universes are destroyed or corrupted, the weaker the Omnisoul gets.

'There will still be enormous casualties…' The thought didn't sit well with him, so he pushed his speed even further.

Knowing his companions would be fine, Alex dissolved that portion of his awareness, focusing on the abominations before him.

With every passing nanosecond, the suppression grew, and the abominable creatures increased in power, their grotesque forms leaving him disturbed — even for him.

Bypassing that sea of corruption was not the end, not even close. And while there was still liquified corruption around, something else had taken its place.

Alexander had half expected to see solidified masses of corruption as he flew forward. Unfortunately or fortunately — whichever it was — what he encountered was an endless sea of vile abominations.

These creatures recklessly threw themselves at him, their madness coalescing into a funnel of creatures spiralling towards him without end. 𝒻𝓇𝑒𝘦𝘸𝑒𝒷𝓃ℴ𝑣𝘦𝑙.𝒸ℴ𝘮

'Ugh… this is going to slow me down even more.'

Knowing his size would also be an issue, Alexander increased his height and proportions to supermassive levels, rivalling the biggest and ugliest abominations he saw.

But the change felt no different; his size relative to the abominations looked like that of a regular person facing regular-sized creatures of uneven, revolting proportions.

Diving into the sea of abhorrent creatures, Alexander extended his right hand forward and freely unleashed his powers, tapping more into the intensity of his unleashed powers than the area of effect.

The growing suppression made it challenging to unleash mild eruptions without shattering the Chaosveil. Now, however, he had to adopt a more tyrannical approach.

The Chaosveil was already shredded all over, spreading like a network of cracks in the fabric of reality. Everywhere he looked and his senses perceived were filled with huge tears.

He had to consciously move to avoid the tears in the fabric of reality. While no harm would come to him if he did exit, the chances of returning to the same spot were low.

It wouldn't have been an issue had he been in the lower regions of the multiverse. But this was the domain of the Omnisoul… he had to be careful, lest he start all over again.

'That would be despairing, even for me.'

The principle behind how Reality's fabric exists in nothingness was a paradox in and of itself… It was a challenge to explain because it did not follow a logical order.

More and more time passed as Alexander tore through the sea of grotesque-looking abominations, a deep scowl on his face.

He made no moves to touch the creatures, simply releasing a continuous stream of existential erasure waves.

'Tch, there's no end in sight…'

Alex had exhausted his nanoseconds and microseconds… a lot of time for an existence like his. But to him, it felt like he wasn't moving at all.

And in that time, a lot of things had transpired in the multiverse. His companions were doing their very best, going as far as holding off seas of abominations and corrupted Veilwalkers.

But even they couldn't be everywhere at once. Hundreds of universes, mostly low-level universes, had been destroyed and/or corrupted.

More often than not, they were forced to kill corrupted Veilwalkers to have a chance at saving a universe instead… Things weren't looking too good.

'...'

Rage boiled within his existence as he observed the ongoing pandemonium. The primordials and gods were doing their part as well, but some had succumbed to the corruption.

Alex closed his eyes for a moment, choosing not to watch the harrowing scenes of morbid deaths and destruction.

When he reopened his eyes, the look of disgust and annoyance was gone. In its place were burning eyes of conviction and indifference.

Alexander redoubled his efforts to tear through the monstrous abominations. The range of his attacks had diminished significantly, more than he had expected.

'Doesn't matter…'

The range might have decreased, but the vile creatures continued to throw themselves at him, desperately trying everything they could to slow him down, as if he were the only thing there was.

And then there was Reality itself. As damaged as it was, it still refused to acknowledge another independent existence within itself. Every movement from him felt more sluggish, like he was dragging the multiverse with him.

The charging nightmarish creatures were relentless in their assault, barely giving him any room to breathe… not that he needed it.

Thousands of the grotesque creatures recklessly closed in on him, now tearing apart their own companions for a chance to reach him. But try as they might, they could not get within a certain range of his existence.

It was an impossibility.

'They're becoming more frenzied.' He noted subtle changes in the creatures' actions. 'I'm getting close…'

His senses and eyes could no longer pierce through the overwhelming mass of corruption and madness, as their numbers had reached truly unimaginable levels.

For every million he ripped apart and erased, billions replaced them… But nothing was ever truly endless.

At the 0.79 mark to a full second, a murderous grin spread across his features.

Beyond the endless dark void and sea of grotesque void creatures came soft glimmers of brilliance piercing through the sea of madness, gradually getting brighter.

'Finally…'
