The Tycoon's Enchanted Mermaid-Chapter 77 - : Wearing Shoes
Chapter 77: Chapter 77: Wearing Shoes
“You… when did you wake up?”
Ah Da’s eyes widened in surprise, round like two shiny black grapes.
Qin Yu propped himself up in bed, “I should be the one asking you that, what are you doing up and about in the middle of the night?”
Defiantly tilting her young face, Ah Da replied with a shimmering smile, “Of course I came out because of you. Didn’t you notice anything different?”
Qin Yu rubbed his neck and looked down into the hopeful eyes of the little girl, lazily saying, “No.”
Ah Da couldn’t believe it and stood up, exclaiming, “How can there be nothing? I just transferred some Spiritual Power to you. It might not be much, but it’s very useful for you.”
...
“Is that so?” Qin Yu’s lips parted slightly as he looked down at the little figure standing on the bedding, touching her face, “Today marks the seventh day, why haven’t you grown up yet?”
Frowning, Ah Da pushed his fingers away, “How would I know? I… I don’t feel anything right now.”
Qin Yu turned to rub her head, which was small and soft like cotton candy, practically melting upon touch, and he sighed lightly, “Don’t waste your Spiritual Power anymore in the future.”
Ah Da stopped in her tracks, “Why?”
Qin Yu stared intently at the little girl tilting her head on the bed and countered, “Don’t you know the condition of your own body?”
It turned out he wasn’t despising her Spiritual Power but was concerned about her body. Ah Da immediately responded, “I’m fine. That bit of Spiritual Power doesn’t affect me. But you, you’ve been so busy lately. You come home so late every day; you don’t even have time to rest.”
Money’s important, but you shouldn’t sacrifice your life for it.
Qin Yu closed his eyes, seemingly pondering something, and finally just said, “After tomorrow, it won’t be so busy.”
“Then you rest more,” Ah Da said happily clapping her hands. After all, she could keep using her Spiritual Power to help him, she recalled tomorrow’s plan and stepped forward to grab Qin Yu’s clothes, “Tomorrow I’ve planned with Bronze Sword to visit the museum to see friends; you should agree to this, right?”
She’d go even if he disagreed, Ah Da thought.
Qin Yu’s fingers rested on her back, his fingertips pinching the nape of her neck gently, his voice hoarse and pleasant in the dark night, making Ah Da’s ears hot, “You have friends at the museum? Where did they come from?”
Ah Da’s pale face blushed slightly; every time she got close to Qin Yu, his appearance mesmerized her, her eyes glued to his face, and she retorted with pouted lips, “Why can’t I have friends? My friends are very impressive, like Little Pink Bottle and Jade Pot. Bronze Sword said they now live in the museum.”
Qin Yu chuckled lowly.
Imagine, a tiny person standing in front of you, with big round eyes, seriously telling you she has many impressive friends, and her friends are antiques in a museum.
It was a scene that truly made one chuckle.
“I’ll have Long Qi take you,” Qin Yu said, “if you can change back.”
Ah Da’s beautiful eyes curved, “I will definitely change back. Master Ting Chan wouldn’t use lies to placate us.”
Qin Yu believed that too; Ting Chan wouldn’t lie or be perfunctory, not even for money, softly tapping her forehead, “It’s late, go back now.”
“Then I’m off.” Ah Da, having achieved her purpose, turned and ran across the bedding quickly, her small figure barely containing her joy.
Qin Yu watched her leave before turning off the light to go to sleep.
In the early morning, as soon as Qin Yu stepped out of the bathroom, he saw a vibrant little girl emerging from the wardrobe, pausing in mild surprise.
As soon as Ah Da was dressed, she saw Qin Yu and immediately ran to him barefoot, turning in a circle, smiling, “Look, I’m back to normal size.”
The little girl’s face was delicate and exquisite, her skin as tender and white as freshly made silken tofu. Petite and graceful, she wore a white suspender dress with a flouncy skirt that revealed her rounded shoulders. Her long, jet-black hair cascaded down her back, reaching her waist. Below, a segment of her tender, fair legs peeked out, and she was barefoot, her feet touching the floor directly.
Qin Yu frowned and walked over to pick up the little girl, placing her on the bed. As he stepped back, he suddenly met her clear, bright eyes—innocent and charming.
She looked up at him, motionless, her gaze devoid of any doubt or unease.
Complete trust.
Qin Yu’s eyes darkened, and he lost his composure, raising his hand to cover her eyes. Did she even know that she shouldn’t look at someone with such an innocent and pure gaze? It was nearly an inducement to commit a crime.
Ah Da, her vision blocked, was perplexed. Qin Yu was so strange, suddenly lifting her onto the bed and then suddenly covering her eyes. His palm was so warm.
“Qin Yu, what’s wrong?”
Ah Da asked softly.
The tickle of her eyelashes against the palm of his hand spread itchiness straight to his heart. He reluctantly let go and looked down at her bare feet—small and exquisite, as if carved from the finest jade.
“Why aren’t you wearing shoes?”
There were clothes and shoes prepared for her in the walk-in closet, anticipating that she would return to her normal size, Qin Yu had arranged it in advance.
Ah Da swung her legs playfully, “I got too excited earlier and forgot. But the floor is clean, it’s okay not to wear them, isn’t it?”
“No, you must wear shoes from now on,” Qin Yu commanded firmly.
Qin Yu’s tone was a bit harsh, and Ah Da didn’t dare to argue. “Oh,” her smile fading.
Qin Yu sighed and turned towards the walk-in closet. Ah Da watched his broad, sturdy back and quickly got off the bed to follow him. The man’s shoulders were wide and his legs long; one of his strides matched three of Ah Da’s.

“Are you angry? Qin Yu, don’t be mad. I’ll remember to wear them from now on.”
The little girl followed close behind like a little tail, pleading repeatedly, her voice soft and sweet.
“I promise you, Qin Yu…”
Unable to bear it any longer, Qin Yu turned around, grasped her tiny waist, and lifted her off the ground, feet dangling. “What are you doing running over here? Aren’t your feet cold on the floor?”
Ah Da’s delicate white hands clutched his shoulder, looking down at him with eyes that blinked twice, her voice again soft and sweet.
“It’s not cold, it feels comfortable.”
Qin Yu was both amused and exasperated by her.
Finally, he carried her to the bench in the walk-in closet, letting her choose some house slippers for herself. Ah Da picked the cutest pair, adorned with fluffy bunny ears.
The little girl walked around wearing the shoes, excited like a little deer that had escaped from the forest. The fluffy bunny ears enhanced the snowy whiteness and fragility of her legs. Already a delicate and transparent girl, she looked good in anything.
“I’m ready,” Ah Da’s eyes sparkled like stars, seeking affection from the tall, handsome man beside her.
“Let’s go, I’ll take you downstairs.”
Qin Yu extended his hand, and Ah Da excitedly ran over to grab his fingers, often used to being pinched by Qin Yu when she was smaller, now accustomed to various contacts with him.
When the servants at Wuqiong Water Pavilion saw Qin Yu walking downstairs with a little girl, they were all astonished.
Not shocked about where the little girl had appeared from, but because both of them were too good-looking.
The man, tall and handsome, with an aloof expression, moved with an unhideable dignity. By his side, the young girl—around seventeen or eighteen, petite and charming—her tiny, exquisite face framed by eyes as clear and glistening as lake waters.
Song Ma stood by the stairs, hands crossed over her abdomen, her head slightly bowed, respectfully waiting.
