Chapter 908: Chapter 908: What You Really Need Is a Woman

Delphine didn’t mind. The main house was very large, and she had originally planned to place a tatami mat there to look after him closely.

Fortunately, the kitchen was well-equipped. Delphine put the fresh vegetables bought by Jing Liu into the refrigerator, then started cooking, making assorted fried rice. She went to the storage room to find a rechargeable lamp, placing it in the main house, which made the view inside a bit clearer.

The spacious main house had only a big bed, a sofa, and a table, nothing else. The man sat on the sofa, and even though he was blind, his back was straight, but his expression was cold and sullen, intimidating to others.

Delphine felt a bit distressed seeing this. She was used to seeing this man in his high and lofty demeanor, and her heart ached to see him staying in such a cold and damp room, or to see him in such a solitary and indifferent state.

This was not the life that belonged to Ignatius Leclair. He was born to be in the spotlight, and even if he were cold and dismissive, he still deserved the best quality of life.

"Sir, your lunch." She spoke in French, placing the freshly made lunch on the only table in front of him, quickly adding before he could get angry and smash the bowl, "There are more than a dozen servings in the kitchen. You could smash them all afternoon, sir."

In other words, she could spar with him all afternoon. Ignatius Leclair’s temper was so volatile, not wanting to see anyone. He must enjoy being alone in peace, but if he started smashing things, that peaceful afternoon would be gone.

The man’s expression indeed changed in anger, wanting to smash the lunch, but after groping around the table and not finding it, he suddenly decided to flip the table.

Delphine held the table down. If the man wanted to flip it, he would have to stand up and exert himself, and she wanted him to move around a bit, to seem more lively rather than like a cold sculpture.

"Get out." Ignatius Leclair’s voice was low and hoarse, but he didn’t flip the table.

Delphine placed a bottle of mineral water on the table, lowered her voice, and in slightly husky-accented French said, "The water’s on the table. I’m going to the kitchen to clean up."

The man said nothing.

Delphine left the main house, quietly breathed a sigh of relief, then patted her face to perk herself up.

Later, Jing Liu drove back, bringing a carload of items.

When Delphine entered the main house, she saw that Ignatius Leclair had already eaten and drank the water. He was sitting on the sofa with headphones on, quietly listening to something, so quiet it was as if he wasn’t even there.

She collected the dishes.

Jing Liu carried in the thick carpet he bought and started laying it down, blocking the cold from the stone floor.

"Put the tatami here." Delphine noticed the carpet was beige with local, unique small patterns, and after laying it down, the whole room brightened considerably, lifting her spirits as well.

Jing Liu placed the tatami in the corner of the main house and brought in a fabric sofa chair, placing it next to the tatami.

It’s a good thing Ignatius Leclair had his headphones on; otherwise, he would have been angry and scolded again.

After the main house was tidied up a bit, it finally had a cozy look. Delphine drew the curtains open and opened the windows, letting the mountain breeze slowly blow into the house, dispersing the suffocating air inside.

Jing Liu, being a rough man, realized that he had just followed Miss Delphine’s instructions to buy some items and fiddled around a bit. The whole vacation house felt different instantly, which made him click his tongue, realizing that indeed, a woman’s touch was needed. 𝘧𝓇𝑒𝑒𝑤ℯ𝑏𝓃𝘰𝑣ℯ𝘭.𝘤ℴ𝘮

After this tidying up, Delphine settled completely into the vacation house, beginning a battle of wits and courage with the temperamental, unpredictable tyrant.
