Chapter 854: Chapter 854: The Days Locked in the Cage Are Finally Over

Ignatius Leclair came out from his evening bath to find two little ones had appeared in the room.

Benjamin Leclair in pink pajamas, holding a pink bunny in his arms, and Nicholas Carter in blue pajamas, sat on either side of Delphine on the bed.

Young Master Leclair, having both his woman and bed occupied, was instantly speechless.

"This is the mountains, I don’t feel comfortable with them sleeping alone, you go find another place to sleep." Delphine said coolly without looking up.

The man narrowed his phoenix eyes, and the two little radishes quickly lay down, snuggled under the blanket, leaving only their small fluffy heads exposed.

"Daddy, I want to sleep with Mommy."

"Uncle, this is my mommy." Nicholas Carter had a strong sense of territoriality.

"Your mommy is Daddy’s woman, understand? Without me, could you even be here?" The man curled his lips, speaking leisurely.

Delphine couldn’t bear to look directly, covered the two babies’ ears, and quickly told him: "You hurry out, we’re going to sleep."

The man saw her ears slightly redden, narrowed his eyes, and slowly said: "The three of you sleeping alone, I don’t feel comfortable either, I’ll sleep on the floor."

After saying this, Ignatius Leclair really went to lay out a bed, and then told bedtime stories to the two little ones.

Seeing that she couldn’t get rid of him, Delphine felt a blockage in her heart and ignored him.

After Ignatius finished the story, the two little guys were full of energy, but Delphine fell asleep, her small face resting on the pillow, palm-sized, revealing quite a scene due to Benjamin twisting around in her arms.

The man lowered his eyes, looked at Benjamin who was still clinging to him for stories, turned off the light and said in a low voice: "Sleep."

The bedroom plunged into darkness; only the light from the floor-to-ceiling window filtering through the white chiffon curtains mingled with the corner night-lights.

"Daddy, it’s wrong to lie." Benjamin said tearfully, but realized it was night and no one could see her cry, so she instantly pushed back the tears in her eyes.

"Benjamin, you’re crushing my stomach again." Nicholas Carter shrank into the corner of the big bed.

"Because Daddy took Mommy away." Benjamin, also squeezed into the corner, complained.

"Ten lollipops, one adventure story collection."

The two little ones instantly fell silent.

When Delphine woke up in the morning, she found the kids had both moved to the foot of her bed, their sleeping posture dreadful, so she got up to correct their posture. For some reason, she felt sleeping with the two kids was just as tiring as before, even though she hadn’t done anything at night.

Waking up, Nicholas and Benjamin spent the entire morning eagerly hoping Uncle Arthur would arrive with their lollipops (and adventure story collection).

With the two kids around, Delphine felt that life in the mountains wasn’t so unbearable. However, the Leclair family remained silent for quite some time, and just as Delphine was getting restless after waiting a few days, the Leclair family patriarch finally heard a bit of news. Learning that his eldest grandson had actually confined his wife in the mountains, the old man was furious. This brat, has he lost his mind?

No wonder little Delphine hadn’t been seen these days, he was surely going to break his legs.

The old man arrived during afternoon tea, Nicholas Carter and Benjamin Leclair napping on the sofa, Delphine reading a book while keeping an eye on the two babies. Looking up, she saw the old man arriving in a rage with the butler and Arthur White trailing behind.

Delphine’s eyes flickered, she breathed a sigh of relief; her days locked in a cage were finally over.
