The Royal Mark-Chapter 336: Where We Belong
"What are you talking about? Is she sick?" Milda questioned the demon king.
But to her annoyance, King Mordrak only smirked and said, "Never mind that for now." He moves closer to her and gently rubs her arms before adding, "I need you to get closer to her again and convince her to renounce her husband willingly. It will be easier for me to get what I want once she’s no longer mated."
"Why should I do that if it means you will marry her sooner," Milda retorted, glaring and rolling her eyes. 𝐟𝐫𝕖𝗲𝘄𝚎𝗯𝕟𝐨𝕧𝐞𝚕.𝕔𝕠𝐦
"You are wrong. I will only need to marry her to remove the mark of her mate. But if she renounces him then I could just easily impregnate her and dispose of her once she gives birth to my child.
Think of it this way, Milda. The sooner I get a child from her then the sooner I could marry you and make you my queen. Don’t you want that?" Mordrak softly said while caressing her cheek with the back of his hand.
King Mordrak successfully piqued Milda’s interest for she relaxed a bit and grew more curious about his plans. "And how could I make her renounce her mate bond with the werewolf king?"
"You could reveal some information about me that would benefit her."
"Like what?"
"You could say that I can unbind her mother to the tree of life, so she could finally leave Qiryn and go home to Zemaria or wherever she wants to go," Mordrak said.
"You could do that?" Milda inquired with skepticism.
"Of course, I can’t. Even us demons have rules to follow. But they don’t know that so just pretend that I can. You are good at pretending anyway, you got this," Mordrak said, gently lifting Milda’s chin and locking eyes with her.
His face slowly drew nearer until his lips met hers. Milda parted her lips to accept his kiss.
Ever since she was young, she was groomed to be a queen. Everything she did was driven by her dream of one day ruling a kingdom, just as her mother had wished.
.
’I will fulfill your dreams for me, Mother. I will make sure that everyone who hurt you will pay. Even Father, Andrius, and Drake. No one shall be spared. It was always just you and me and they not only made you suffer but they also took you away from me.
Just a little bit longer and all our plans will succeed and I will finally avenge your death. Watch me destroy everyone who betrayed us. I will make them suffer before I take their lives!’ Milda thought before she slowly undressed King Mordrak.

Elsa had eaten a lot before leaving the dining hall. She saw Lulu waiting for her outside who quickly bowed upon seeing her.
"A-Are you alright, Your Majesty? I-I heard yelling and some other loud noises," Lulu asked, worriedly before noticing Elsa’s hair and dress.
"You’re drenched! Let’s hurry to your room and change your clothes before you get sick!" Lulu added.
"I am fine, Lulu. It was me who caused this."
"Y-You’re a water mage! I knew you were someone powerful, that’s why King Mordrak valued you a lot. We also think he is in love with you," Lulu said as she and Elsa walked toward the queen’s room.
Elsa frowned because she didn’t believe that the demon king was capable of falling in love but curiosity got the best of her, so she asked, "What made you say that?"
"Uhm... W-Well, you are the first woman that he allowed to stay in the queen’s room. All the servants were surprised to learn that. He even made changes to that room. A lot of changes, he said that it’s the preference of the one who will use it. D-Did you like it?"
"Hmm... He did that? But to answer your question, yes I like it," Elsa said with a smile.
Lulu’s face brightened and brought up her hands to her heart and said, "Really? My cousin was the one who designed it. She will be happy if she hears this."
"I thought you said humans can only be servants and farmers in Kurzen?" Elsa questioned.
"Yes, but my cousin is half demon so she gets some privileges. She is so lucky, I sometimes wish that one of my parents was a demon, so I could do more than just be a servant," Lulu commented with a sad face.
"What do you want?"
Lulu blushed and lowered her head before answering, "I-I want to be a warrior and fight, to protect my people or perhaps a water mage like you. If only I had been born in Zemaria then maybe my life would be different."
"But you don’t need to be a demon or be born in Zemaria to do what you want," Elsa informed her before stopping in front of her room.
"You don’t understand, Your Majesty. Humans are forbidden to use magic in Kurzen. But even if it’s allowed, elemental powers do not run in my bloodline, so I could only dream about it."
"You don’t need elemental mage ancestors to be able to use magic. It is only applied to divine mages," Elsa replied.
"What do you mean, Your Majesty?" Lulu asked in confusion.
"Let’s go in, I will tell you more about it," Elsa smiled and signaled for Lulu to go in.
Lulu immediately opened the door and went straight to the bath chamber to get Elsa a towel.
"Let me ask you first, Lulu, and please be honest with me. You can trust me with your secrets. I am a human just you after all. What do you mean by fight and protect your people?" Elsa felt that there was something behind Lulu’s words and she was determined to uncover it.
"Y-Your Majesty... I-I really feel in my heart that I could trust you because you are the only royalty that treated me nicely, but please promise me that you will not tell anyone, especially the King."
Elsa nodded and gestured for Lulu to sit on the sofa beside her.
"I want to take my family to Zemaria where we belong..."
