Chapter 335: Heartbeats

Elsa kissed King Mordrak on the lips but she did not close her eyes. She watched his reaction closely while still trying to pull his hands away from Milda’s neck.

Fortunately, she was in luck. The grip of his hand on Milda’s neck loosened, making Elsa feel relieved. ’Finally,’ she thought.

She was about to pull away from Mordrak when he closed his eyes and tilted his head at the same time. In addition, the hand that was once latched on her aunt’s neck flew to her head while his other hand landed on her waist, holding her in place.

She felt his lips parted and he started kissing her back causing Elsa’s eyes to widen in shock.

She had no intention of ’really’ kissing King Mordrak and never in her wildest dream did she have imagined doing that to other men other than Chris.

But she had to do something because the demon king looked like he was in some kind of trance and nothing could stop him from killing Princess Milda.

She heard Milda coughing and stepping away from them while the demon king continued to devour her mouth.

With all her might she used both hands to push King Mordrak away but he was just too strong.

Without a second thought, she lifted her hands and fingers, manipulating the water and wine on the table, She turned it into a water whip and hit the demon king’s back before it dissolved and fell on their heads making them both wet.

King Mordrak finally released her and he was panting. He stared at her with starving lustful eyes before lunging at her.

"Divinuum Presidium!" She quickly cast her divine shield, protecting herself from his assault.

King Mordrak smirked and said, "This is so unfair, you kissed me without consent and now that I want to return the favor, you hid in your cocoon. Where’s the justice in that?"

Elsa wiped her lips, totally disgusted at what happened. She spit on the floor and uttered, "Are you fucking insane?! I never wanted to kiss you. You were killing Milda! I had no choice but to try it just to wake you up from your stupor. Part of our deal is keeping my family alive. Are you backing out now?"

"I was just putting her in her place. I was not backing out. Tsk... I was enjoying your kiss and now my mood is all ruined!" King Mordrak exclaimed.

He took a table napkin to wipe his head which was dripping with water and wine before throwing it to the floor. He glared at Milda who was still massaging her neck before he walked out from the dining hall.

When the demon king was completely out of sight, Elsa quickly ran to Milda and checked her neck.

"Don’t touch me!" Milda swatted her hands and continued massaging her aching neck.

"Let me at least heal you. Your neck is starting to turn red and it will be black later. It constricted your blood flow and we don’t know how will it affect you," Elsa urged.

"Mind your own business, Elsa! This is all your fault! You shouldn’t have gone here, you should have stayed in your world. You’ve ruined not only my life but the life of my family! You are a curse to us!"

Elsa sighed and rolled her eyes. "This is old news and honestly tiring. What did I do this time?"

"Mordrak should marry me and not you! You already took Christopher from me. If only you didn’t come here then I should have been married to the King of Arcanis by now. You are too selfish, now you want Mordrak too!"

"As far as I can remember you were the one who threw a sleeping potion at me and helped the demon king to abduct me. If only you didn’t do that and let me escape with my father and son then this conversation would not take place. So tell me who’s faulty that is?

If you really want to marry the demon king, then go, I will never ever stop you. So do me a favor and please marry him before he forces that stupid marriage on me. Come to think of it, you and him are good together. You are both delusional!"

*SLAP*

Elsa’s head snapped to the right from Milda’s striking slap. She rubbed her cheek and glared at her aunt.

"You deserve more than that!" Milda declared before exiting the hall.

Elsa took a deep breath and watched her leave. Once Milda was completely gone, Elsa returned to the dining table and called the servant still standing by the door. "Get me some juice, please. This dinner is too delicious to waste," she commanded, then resumed eating, unbothered by the mess that she made with her water whip.

Milda went looking for King Mordrak and found him on the balcony of his bed chamber. "You promised me!" she exclaimed.

King Mordrak did not look at her and stared at the moon instead. "Milda, Milda, Milda... I never said I would not marry you. I will marry you both. You are in Kurzen and not Zemaria or Arcanis. Here, we could take as many wives as we want, didn’t you know that?" 𝐟𝗿𝐞𝚎𝚠𝐞𝚋𝕟𝐨𝚟𝐞𝕝.𝕔𝕠𝚖

"I do, but I am not willing to share you! You said that you would let me have her, you promised that! You never said anything about marrying her."

"Sure, I will give her to you. But after I get what I want from her. So for now, make sure that you will not do anything stupid! Unless you want your life to end..."

"What do you possibly want from her? She has nothing, she’s half-breed and doesn’t have anything to offer you." Milda asked.

"I want a child from her. Aren’t you curious about what kind of power our child would have? A demon, angel, and human mix. That would be interesting, don’t you think?"

"So why wait and marry her? Why don’t you just bed her right now, if it’s only a child that you want?"

"Too bad you’re a human. You can’t hear the heartbeats that I am hearing from her," Mordrak finally looked and smirked at Milda who was utterly confused of what he was talking about.
