Chapter 134: Chapter 131: Ferocious Beast!

Just as Li Wenxuan was about to scold Qin Fan, a series of noises suddenly grew closer from the darkness ahead.

"Oh no!" A surge of panic welled up uncontrollably from the depths of her heart, and her entire back went cold in an instant. Driven by instinct, Li Wenxuan quickly ran back to Lai Zhuge’s side, her delicate body trembling as she stared into the darkness.

"Lai Shenxiang, what... what is that sound?" Li Wenxuan asked, her voice trembling with alarm.

"Didn’t you hear what Master Qin said? The fierce beasts are making their entrance! Rest assured, Master Qin’s life is countless times more valuable than yours. You won’t die if you stick with him!" With his usual affable manner gone, Lai Zhuge’s expression was grave as he stared into the darkness, the familiar drumming of fear returning to his heart.

Having survived a brush with death here once before, returning to this place rekindled the shadows in his heart, fanned by the approaching commotion.

No sooner had Lai Zhuge spoken than several white gleams appeared in the darkness. A host of fierce beasts emerged from the gloom, their forms becoming terrifyingly clear. There was a giant white python as thick as a century-old tree. Also in the colossal procession were white river deer, white muntjacs, white lions, white tigers, and white toads. Stirring up wind and sand, the pack of creatures raced towards Qin Fan’s group.

"Master Qin, it’s them! These are the fierce beasts!" Lai Zhuge exclaimed in astonishment. "Last time, we only ran into the white python, lion, and tiger! Why are there so many more now?"

As a highly respected Feng Shui Master in the Geomancy World, Lai Zhuge had seen plenty in his years, but these creatures completely shattered his understanding of the natural world. While the phenomenon of albinism among the animals of the Shennongjia Primordial Forest was no secret in Huaxia, beasts of this size utterly defied his comprehension.

These aren’t animals, they’re monsters! Absolute monsters! The kind that could devour you in a heartbeat!

"Calm down. If I’m not mistaken, these are just small fry from the periphery," Qin Fan stated calmly. "There might be beasts with true Spiritual Wisdom here, but their cultivation is far too shallow. Clearly, it’s not them."

Using his late-stage Eyes of Golden Flame, Qin Fan glanced into the bodies of the giant white beasts and saw that the strongest among them possessed only a Second Rank Crystal Core. Even so, that was more than enough to overwhelm and crush any mundane Fortune Tellers, Magicians, or even ordinary Dark Energy Martial Artists.

ROAR!

Letting out a unified cry, the beasts locked their eyes on the three humans. Lacking true Spiritual Wisdom, they charged. As their cavernous maws opened, a foul stench washed over the trio.

"Cover your nose and mouth!" Qin Fan instructed.

He extended his hand, and the Hemp Vine Whip he had gotten from Lan Tianchun unfurled. With a sharp CRACK, the whip seemed to come alive, its movements imbued with a spiritual grace as Qin Fan swung it.

Taking a single, swift step forward, Qin Fan scoffed in disdain and swept the whip toward a white lion. With a flick of his wrist, the white lion, which weighed no less than a ton, was sent flying through the air toward him.

In that instant, Qin Fan’s free hand became a blur as it shot out. His fingers plunged into the white lion’s abdomen. With a deft twist, he swiftly extracted a white Crystal Core. A moment later, the white lion let out a final whimper and collapsed, kicking up a cloud of dust.

A First Rank Crystal Core. Not very useful, but it’s better than nothing, I suppose. Qin Fan shook his head, murmuring to himself. 𝕗𝚛𝚎𝚎𝐰𝗲𝗯𝗻𝚘𝚟𝚎𝗹.𝕔𝐨𝕞

As he did, a white river deer and a white muntjac lunged at him simultaneously from his left and right. Foul odors wafted from their open jaws as they bared their fangs at him.

"Get lost!" he roared, swinging his blood-smeared hand at the white river deer.

The river deer let out a low growl as the blow sent it crashing into a large tree. With a loud CRACK, the tree toppled over.

At the same time, a Talisman flew from Qin Fan’s pocket as if it had a mind of its own. The hand that had just swatted the river deer didn’t pause for a moment. It snatched the Talisman from the air and shoved it directly into the gaping mouth of the white muntjac.

"Explode!" he shouted with a grin.

A burst of fire erupted from the mouth of the five-hundred-pound muntjac. Its massive body staggered backward and collapsed, instantly disfigured as the True Fire scorched its fur.

Even the Fourth Rank serpent from Yanjing Ridge couldn’t withstand one of these One-Flavor True Fire Talismans, so what chance did a mere beast like this have?

Effortlessly, a lion, a river deer, and a muntjac had been dispatched. Behind Qin Fan, Lai Zhuge and Li Wenxuan were dumbfounded. They hadn’t even seen how he attacked, yet in a split second, he had slain three ferocious beasts?

Seeing their companions fall, the other fierce beasts didn’t shrink back in terror. Instead, their rage seemed to ignite. Though their Spiritual Wisdom was undeveloped, they still possessed the basic instinct to distinguish friend from foe. With a collective howl, they surrounded Qin Fan and pounced. They completely ignored Lai Zhuge and Li Wenxuan, focusing all their aggression on him.

The white python swung its body, tens of meters long, trying to coil around Qin Fan’s neck. The white toad leaped two meters into the air, aiming to crush his head. The white tiger swiped its claws at his heart, its three-inch fangs aimed for his face.

"Be careful!"

Behind Qin Fan, Lai Zhuge and Li Wenxuan’s faces turned deathly pale. They couldn’t help but scream in panic. They knew that if anything happened to Qin Fan, they stood no chance against these unnatural monsters. Their deaths would be certain; there was no other possibility.

"Relax," Qin Fan said with an unconcerned laugh, "they’re just a bunch of pushovers."

As the fierce beasts lunged, his Prison Suppressing Body activated automatically. Imperceptible to the naked eye, his frame seemed to become slightly more robust.

He let the beasts pounce. Qin Fan’s hand shot up and grabbed the white toad by its underbelly. Then, with immense force, he slammed it into the ground.

BOOM!

Empowered by his Mixed Element True Qi, the single throw smashed the white toad into a pit two meters deep. After a few muffled croaks, it fell silent and still.

Having dealt with the toad, Qin Fan’s right hand swung the whip again. The Hemp Vine Whip, seeming to have a will of its own, coiled instantly around the white tiger’s neck. With a single pull and a fling, the white tiger—which had failed to even scratch him—was violently hurled away. Its head plunged straight into the pit where the toad lay.

All of this had taken less than five minutes. Now, the only one left was the white python, whose massive body had yet to even touch him.
