Chapter 594: Wedding (3)

Lanni’s phone rang with an incoming call and when Cheng Yu saw it, she rolled her eyes.

"Come on, you have only been away from him for a few hours. Surely Xiehan can survive on his own for just a night?"

"What do you know? She’s his heartbeat." Xiaoshi laughed, making Lanni roll her eyes at their dramatics.

Luna swiped her phone out of her hand.

"I’m confiscating this so you enjoy the dance. You’re welcome."

Lanni shrugged and let her have it, knowing that it wouldn’t last ten minutes before she gave it back.

As expected, there was no way any of them could enjoy the dance with Lanni’s phone ringing incessantly.

"What the heck? One missed call is enough!" Cheng Yu complained.

Lanni burst into laughter. "Not when you know someone else is holding your wife’s phone."

Luna gave up and gave it back. "Jeez. Lovebirds."

"Hello my love?" She answered sweetly.

"I miss you." The voice on the other end teased, and she immediately recognized the voice as Lin Juan’s dramatically mimicking what Xiehan would say. "I can’t breathe without you by my side. Oh, my life is incomplete without you." Roars of laughter filled the other end, probably fom Xingyu, Cedric and Han Xichen who were watching the spectacle.

She slapped her forehead. "Ruby is right here and I’m sure she would love to know that."

"No, no no!" Lin Jian yelled. "I was just teasing you."

She knew, but it felt great to give him a taste of his own medicine.

"Ruby," She called out dramatically, making Lin Jian cry out like he was on the verge of dying.

"I swear, I was just joking." He vowed.

"I know." She laughed her heart out, making the ladies wonder what was happening. "Would you like to give my husband his phone back?"

She didn’t need to ask twice before Xiehan came on the line.

"I want to see you."

She closed her eyes when she heard his voice. She had already heard it more times than she could count but it still captivated her.

"Sneak out of the party." He urged.

"What? I can’t just..." She glanced at the ladies and the man who had switched to more erotic dances. She couldn’t just sneak out of her own bachelorette party, could she?

"You can if you want to. Come with me."

"Okay." She gripped her phone.

"Okay?" He didn’t believe she had agreed so fast.

She nodded. "Yes." She didn’t want to see anything more explicit than what the dance had already morphed into.

She shared her location with him and ten minutes later, he had arrived. He was not allowed into the bachelorette VIP room so he sent her a text message.

She flashed an apologetic smile at her bridal party.

"You want to leave, don’t you?" Cheng Yu made a guess. "Go ahead. I’m sure you won’t stop thinking about him anyway."

"But we haven’t cut the cake yet. It was a surprise." Luna winked to convince her to stay.

Her eyes widened. She had seen bachelorette cakes and she wasn’t sure she wanted one in her mouth.

"I’ll be back later." She promised, but no one believed her. She slid her mask on and made her way to the entrance where Xiehan was waiting.

"Excuse me, mister, are you waiting for someone?" She squeaked in a high-pitch voice.

Xiehan was taken aback momentarily before he played along. "My wife. She’s the most beautiful woman. Have you seen her?"

She pretended to look around. "The most beautiful woman? That would be me." She stepped before him and planted her palm on his chest. "Since your wife is not here, why don’t you elope with me?" She ran her forefinger down his torso.

"You’re such a temptress." He wrapped his arm around her waist, pulling her agaisnt his length, which had hardened thanks to her teasing. "What if your husband found out?"

"He’s standing right here. Are you scared?" She pressed her lips against the side of his neck.

"No." He sucked in a breath, resisting the urge to slip a hand under her short dress. He swept her off the ground and headed out to the parking lot, putting her down next to an MTT turbine.

"A bike?" She looked at it curiously.

"Do you want to have a ride?" He grabbed a helmet and gave it to her, then slid one on.

Her heart accelerated at the thought. "Heck yes."

"Hold on." He took the helmet off her and pulled a thin blindfold from his pocket. He took her mask off and paused, waiting for her reaction. When she didn’t show any reluctance against being blindfolded, he slid the white fabric over her eyes and tied it behind her head, before placing the helmet back on her.

She hopped on behind him and wrapped her arms tightly around his waist, with her chest pressed against his back.

"Ready?"

"Never been readier."

He roared the engine. "Tap me if you need me to slow down."

He rode off and she let herself go, enjoying the feeling of the wind against her skin. There was barely any traffic since it was so late at night, so he accelerated. She tightened her arms around him, feeling freer than she had felt in a while. Since her eyes were closed, her other senses were heightened

This was the best feeling she had experienced in as long as she could remember. freёwebnoѵel.com

When they stopped, she carefully got down, took off her helmet and held onto the bike with a laugh. Her legs felt like putty. He got down and swooped her in his arms like she weighed nothing, finally putting her down after walking several steps. They must have reached their destination. He opened a door and untied the blindfold covering her eyes.

She blinked to adjust to the brightness of the light and was awed when she took in the cottage they were standing in.

"Do you like it?" He asked behind her, although her dropped jaw made it obvious.

"Like it? I love it!" She jumped onto him with her legs around his waist and he stumbled two steps from the impact before steadying both of them.

Her lips crushed against his in a gentle kiss.

"Would you like to spend the night here?" He asked.

She pretended to think about it. "That depends. Do I get to enjoy the hot view of you cooking shirtless in the morning?"

"You can enjoy that kind of view right now if you want." He pulled a step back and pulled his shirt off.

His fingers hovered over his waist teasingly. He paused and glanced at her over his shoulder. "I mean, I can take these off too if you want."

She responded by shutting the door and pulling him to the kitchen. "If you do that, no food is going to get cooked."

He didn’t think he would actually cook like this either but he didn’t argue. He had bought ingredients when he made arrangements for the cottage so he took them out and started chopping the vegetables.

She was sitting at the kitchen island with her chin resting against her hand as she watched him. His muscles flexed with each of his movements and she followed him with her fiery gaze.

He glanced at her over his shoulder. "With you staring at me like that, you are going to set me on fire soon." He joked.

"Is it my fault that you are so handsome?" She stood up and walked over to him. She wrapped her arms around him from behind and when he stopped, she chuckled against his skin.

"Go on."

He pushed the knife and vegetables away from him and grabbed her hands, spinning her to be in front of him.

"Do you want me to help? I can, but I’m not as good at cooking as you are." She feigned ignorance despite knowing what he wanted to do. He was looking down at her like he couldn’t wait to eat her up.

"The food can wait." He croaked a second before he placed her on the kitchen counter and buried his head between her legs.
