The Only Spatial Ability User In The Apocalypse-Chapter 70 A Strange Entity
Sylas could feel the oppressive aura from that pair of black eyes. He was being oppressed. It was stronger than him, and Sylas immediately had a bad feeling.
If they fought, Sylas knew he wouldn’t stand a chance against whatever this creature was.
The creature in front of him had a pair of deep black eyes without any white in them. Crimson lips were shut tight, and its skin was as white as snow. It was more than six feet tall, and its inky black hair was very long, reaching down to its toes. It wore a long black robe and was barefoot. From the looks of it, it looked like a human, but not quite human either. It didn’t look like a zombie, and Sylas also couldn’t feel any zombie aura from it.
The feeling this entity gave him was very strange.
Cold sweat started to drip down his temples, and his hands uncontrollably started to shake.
’What in the world is that?’ Sylas thought as he frantically tried to think of a way to escape.
The strange entity stared at Sylas, and Sylas stared back at it. No one moved. They silently looked at each other for a minute. Every second felt like an hour for Sylas as they observed each other.
Then, suddenly, the strange entity turned its back. Sylas felt his vision blur, and a second later, it vanished from his sight.
Sylas panicked for a while, but after a few seconds, he still didn’t see the strange entity. After making sure that it had left, Sylas finally fell to the ground and leaned against his car, breathing heavily.
That strange entity didn’t do anything to him. It simply watched him from afar and then left.
Sylas could hear his heart pounding.
After taking a deep breath, Sylas stood up and then heard the sound of cars coming from the left side of the road.
He turned his head toward the sound and saw four military cars approaching.
Sylas didn’t get into his car. He stood there, and when the military cars reached him, they stopped.
From the front car, a few soldiers got out holding guns. Among them, one soldier walked toward Sylas and asked, "Fellow survivor, are you a native of N City or from another place?"
"From Pinewood Town," Sylas replied, nodding at them.
Then, they exchanged a few more words.
"To be able to come to N City from Pinewood Town, it seems you are also an awakened person?" Sylas raised his brows. It was no surprise that they were aware of people awakening abilities. But hearing the word "also," Sylas understood that the person in front of him was an awakened person as well.
Sylas nodded and reached out his hand. "I am Sylas."
"Colonel Saw. I am in charge of the N City military base. If you are going to the safe zone, you can follow us. We are heading back to the safe zone now," Colonel Saw said, shaking Sylas’s hand.
Sylas nodded and said, "Major Kyle of Pinewood Town is also heading to the safe zone. They should be getting there soon."
Colonel Saw raised his brows in surprise and immediately asked, "Shouldn’t he be in charge of the safe zone there?"
Seeing the confusion in Colonel Saw’s eyes, Sylas immediately explained the situation in Pinewood Town.
After listening to Sylas’s words, Colonel Saw immediately said, "Let’s talk inside the car. I’ll have one of the soldiers drive your car."
"No need. I can store it in my space," Sylas said, waving his hand and immediately storing his car in his space.
Soon, he heard the surprised gasps of the soldiers.
"You... how on earth!"
"Is that your ability?"
"What kind of ability is this?"
Colonel Saw asked in surprise, his eyes wide open.
"Space. Let’s talk inside the car," Sylas replied.
The colonel stiffly nodded and led him to his car. Some soldiers immediately adjusted themselves in the back cars, giving space to Colonel Saw and Sylas.
Inside the car, Colonel Saw looked Sylas up and down and asked, "Your ability is space? How does it work? And where did you store your car?"
The two people sitting in the front also perked up their ears.
Sylas slowly and patiently explained his space ability.
"Wow!"
"Amazing!"
"That’s incredible!"
The three people in the car immediately exclaimed.
"Our base also has awakened humans, but no one has awakened a space ability so far," Colonel Saw said with regret.
"There are many kinds of abilities, and people are still awakening. Who knows, there may be many space ability users in the future," Sylas said.
"By the way, since you said that a zombie army is heading this way, I’m afraid it won’t take much time for them to reach N City. We should be prepared," Colonel Saw said in a serious tone. The two people in the front also grew serious.
"Colonel, we still haven’t dealt with the mutated stray dogs," the driver said.
Sylas raised his brows upon hearing the words "mutated stray dogs," because he had just fought mutated stray dogs himself.
"The leader of the mutated stray dogs is very fast. Even I can’t catch up to it," Colonel Saw said.
Leader... very fast! Sylas thought, feeling that their description matched the one he had killed.
"This time, we only managed to kill some low-level stray dogs, but the leader got away," one of the soldiers sitting in the front said.
"I don’t understand why it ran away," the driver said. 𝙛𝓻𝒆𝒆𝒘𝙚𝓫𝙣𝙤𝒗𝙚𝓵.𝙘𝙤𝙢
"Well, it was a good thing for us. If that high-level one had stayed and fought us, we would have been dead," Colonel Saw said.
"Colonel, if that high-level mutated dog is as strong as you say, then why did it run away?" the other soldier asked in confusion.
"Who knows? But it seemed to sense something mid-fight and ran toward it. So I believe it didn’t run away from us because it felt threatened by our strength, but because it sensed something else," Colonel Saw said.
Sylas’s back immediately tensed upon hearing Colonel Saw’s words.
Now he was certain of one thing. The high-level zombies, the mutated stray dogs, other mutated creatures, and even the strange entity he had encountered earlier all seemed to have been drawn toward him. But he still didn’t know why.
