The Monster Monarch System-Chapter 89: A Drink (Part 1)
The slime walked toward the wet sand area, he could sense Rem’s soul energy coming from below and at once, the Slime knew that it was the boss room so he made a confident choice and changed the shape of his body, fitting to that of an adult man and continued walking through the wet sand... the magic stones jiggled in it’s stomach and there was quite a lot of them, a rather obscene amount if one could see and all of that was gotten all in a day of being the prey.
’I should hide the Magic stones,’ The slime thought as he reached the point where the sand started sinking him... covering it’s stomach area with magical energy and concealing the magic stones, all he had to do was to sneak down and just get next to Rem, he was assured that Rem would do the rest.
Soon the slime was fully covered in wet sand, forcing it to retain his shape as he was sent shooting down, and in a matter of seconds, he found himself falling from the air behind the Sand Golem... everybody was focused in their attacks, after all, the Sandwolves they were facing were very different from what they were used to.
Sandwolves were relatively easy monsters to deal with and the magic stones they left behind were worth a lot but there was one problem with the Sandwolves that were jumping Rem and the party right now didn’t have Magic stones, they were created by the Sand golem and was draining their energy pretty quickly.
Rem cut through another Sandwolf and brought his blade to the side, dodging a claw strike from one... the wounds they induced were very real, Rem sliced through this one and his eyes went to the air, the slime was dropping down and giving Rem a look like it needed authorization. Rem gave it a small nod and then the slime focused on the Golem, several tendrils formed from it’s back and each shot at the predetermined location of the core, the stomach.
The tendrils shot through the air at intense speed and pierced the stomach of the Sand golem, propelling the gem known as the core forward and right into Rem’s waiting palm. The Sand golem collapsed and so did the Dust wolves, everywhere was calm once again.
Rem shone the Magic stone to the others and walked to Mark, prompting him to absorb it and then after that, Rem volunteered to go check the corpse of the Sand golem, Rem quickly walked to it and knelt next to it... the ball of slime emerged from underneath the golem’s corpse, fusing with Rem’s palm and transferring the consciousness back to him, the stones were stored in his inventory... surprisingly there were no gazes on his back so he was able to do this easily.
Shortly after the Sand golem’s death, a portal opened and the group settled down on the ground, huddling around Mark who began distributing Magic stones based on their performance.
They had gotten over 50 stones due to the length of the dungeon and the Healer got a whooping ten of them, her job was one of the most important jobs in the whole party – she was the reason they were able to keep fighting and everyone was happy. The Cavaliers each were distributed with 4 Magic stones for their troubles and the Redhead Cavalier was given ten, the Magus was given twelve and Rem was given eight.
"We are very satisfied with your performance," Mark said, "If you want to raid with us once again, you know where to find us,"
Mark flashed a smile. 𝕗𝐫𝐞𝕖𝕨𝐞𝗯𝚗𝕠𝘃𝐞𝚕.𝐜𝗼𝚖
’He is quick to react and a great fighter as well,’ Mark thought, ’Although his Soul energy reserves seem to soar a little bit higher than normal – I need to talk with Drew about this fellow, maybe he’ll let me take him like last time,’

The process of selling Magic stones in the dungeon was easy, all it took was to flash your license and begin trading in the sales section – an average stone from a C-grade dungeon cost about 2 Bronze coins, of course that was depending on the monster you sold, not to mention that with each stone you sell, The GUILD will always deduct a bit of it as tax for letting you raid in the dungeon, which was why selling in the Black market was more profitable but to combat these losses, all registered Raiders would have to sell all Magic stones in their possession after a dungeon raid and the one hired by the GUILD would reveal to the receptionists how many everyone had beforehand.
Rem glanced at the Healer... he took the pouch handed to him, he had sold all eight C-grade magical stones that had been given to him and each of them went for three bronze coins, since they came from Drodlings.
Before Rem could slink out of the GUILD, The Redhead known as Henry held him by the hand.
"We’re going for a drink, aren’t we?" He asked with a nice smile and Rem nodded, he didn’t know where Mark and Tony had gone but he guessed it was something important.
Ruby, the grass Magus smiled at Rem.
"You were very helpful in the dungeon," Ruby said while bending over and whispering in his ear, "Thank you,"
Rem didn’t know what to feel after hearing that but unknowingly his cheeks brightened up, the woman’s breath had been hitting against his face and certain urges coursed through his veins.
"Hey, Healer, you up for one too?" Henry asked and the Healer nodded, following along with them as they made their way to a bar.

The gates of the mansion were parted open as Mark and Tony stepped in, welcomed by a black haired D-grade burly Cavalier.
"You never change, Drew," Mark commented.
Drew let out a hearty laughter before pointing at the Mansion.
"The children are in the dining room, let’s join them," Drew said.
