The Monster Monarch System-Chapter 36: Chaos At Orion Battlefield (Part 3)
"Mam, please proceed out the door quietly," A Cavalier said as he watched the young woman cross and escape from the stadium – he turned to his fellow Cavalier and sighed.
"You think this was planned by another town? That monster on the inside, I’ve never seen it before," He said to the other one who was wearing black overalls and clutching his Magic Iron Sword.
"Who knows?" The Cavalier muttered under his breath, "The Mayor and head of the town aren’t around and there are no A or B ranks here – I hear they all went on a raid, and our luck had to be so bad,"

The fabric of reality strewn carefully by the almighty creator was forcefully shattered upon Mika landing a Convergence, it seemed to break apart and everywhere turned black until... there was light once again.
’That was quite a powerful Convergence,’ Maybel thought as she pulled herself into a sitting position – taking in small breaths... the dimensional phenomenon had only occurred in a meter radius of Tobi and Mika, but Maybel was confident that this was one of the most powerful Convergences she had witnessed. Tobi skidded two meters backward, his arms fixated in a cross-like position as smoke leaked from them – the smell of charred flesh emanating from his hands.
His eyes were golden and fierce as the dreadful black aura began to engulf his entire being, Mika was already on the ground – weakened by the first Convergence she had landed, she bent onto one knee and took in deep short breaths.
’Convergence is a peculiar union of soul and body, once this union has been achieved – you can land a Convergence and there are two gains for landing a Convergence,’ Maybel thought while taking an even deeper breath, ’Soul energy Amplification and Comprehension but it comes at the cost of exhaustion,’
If Mika had a strong enough body, she might have been able to overcome the exhaustion but she didn’t and Tobi was planning to take advantage of it...
Mika witnessed the charred flesh on Tobi’s arms, where she had struck regenerate with her very eyes, the smoke vanishing and any single kind of damage she managed to inflict healing up within an instant. Crimson energy gathered around Tobi’s fingers as he prepared to use his signature Magical beam, which he had shown multiple times before, to put an end to her life.
But Mika wasn’t too focused on this, all she was feeling right now was her tattoo – vibrating with some sort of soul energy, it was rejuvenating her body... She could feel how much her body wanted her to kill the man that stood in front of her. Slowly Mika got up to her feet and her eyes flashed as pink soul energy coursed through her veins, expending outward as powerful aura – Mika’s eyes... they felt free, she could feel her own soul energy reserves heightening, they were more powerful and the exhaustion had already vanished, giving way to her pure unadulterated rage.
The tighter she clenched her fists, the more soul energy gathered around them. Mika assumed her combat stance as the beams of magic tore forward, each coming toward her at breakneck speed but the girl was quicker, dashing straight for the beams, something that Tobi hadn’t quite expected.
With the element of surprise, Mika weaved her way through the onslaught of beams, soul energy coursed through her feet – amplifying her movement and grace even more as she quickly closed the distance between herself and Tobi.

"Are you going to be okay?" Krista asked as she stared at Cole from the distance – his eyes, something had changed about him.
"Yeah," Cole replied while staggering to his feet, wiping the girl’s blood off his face, he could still see her face in the distance – amidst the dead bodies of the unlucky Apprentices. As Cole got to his feet, he walked toward Krista and placed his hand on her shoulder.
"I want to go in," Cole said, his voice emotionless as Krista flinched at his words.
"You want to go in? Cole, you remember you don’t have Soul ener-"
"I know," Cole said, "But I can’t be left to sit down on the sidelines and let Mika take all the glory,"
Cole left Krista before she could answer and pulled out his weapon, his eyes were burning with determination – he was going to make Tobi pay.
Tobi grabbed ahold of Mika’s left fist only for the girl to throw more strikes at the boy – shockwaves shot across the battlefield, sending web-like cracks going through the ground slowly but Tobi was barely fazsed, she had powered herself up with Convergence but Tobi didn’t really find her hard to beat... She was letting her rage guide her actions, each punch she threw – Tobi was able to dodge or counter them with one of his own.
Tobi gave Mika a kick in the face sending the girl spiraling backward through the air like a ragdoll but she spun around and landed on the ground – soul energy wrapping around her fists as her eyes locked in on the target, Tobi giving an uneasy smile that sent chills through her spine.
Mika couldn’t help but celebrate at the fact he had not figured it out yet – pink soul energy flickered around Tobi’s chest, the last place she had managed to hit before she was forcefully kicked back. As more soul energy gathered at that point, it exploded much to Tobi’s surprise.
’I learned from Rem – instead of creating multiple ones with the same effect and explosiveness, why not just create one with a high amount of soul energy?’ Mika thought as a thick smoke billowed around Tobi’s body but she could clearly see that he was not dead although the explosion seemed to have dealt quite significant damage.
Tobi appeared in front of her, his speedy movements a blur to the Blue haired Apprentice as she was soon hit in the stomach by Tobi’s foot – her facial expression changing as her body reeled toward the ground, a small crater was formed beneath Mika as her body smashed into the ground, she tried to loosen away from Tobi’s grip but his foot was too thick and strong, pressing at her insides till eventually she passed out.
He reached his hand out, it was just perfect – enough to capture Maria’s new sword and shatter it into pieces before her very eyes.
"You’re a bug," He said to the Weapon Instructor as he proceeded to raise a finger up, gathering crimson energy around it with the intent of killing the annoying woman only for him to notice that she looked different – bloodthirsty.
Maria threw aside the hilt of her sword, crimson soul energy surging through her palms as she aimed it at the chest of the unsuspecting demon but he was able to evade the strike quickly, his body leaning out of the way of the fist that struck the air – wind rumbling behind her after the strike.
’That was not a normal punch filled with Soul energy,’ Tobi thought while moving away – his body a sizzling blur as he immediately cleared two meters, as much as he wanted to crush Mika under his foot... the shocking strike was enough to pull him into stupor... his eyes widened in realization and shock.
’That force... it would be enough to break my bones,’ Tobi thought fiercely as he widened his eyes, they were stuck on the Instructor’s figure – indeed something about her was not right, she looked and felt strange.
"What? You scared?" Maria asked while she glared at the Demon, her blue orbs concealed within a crimson soul energy, one that exuded bloodlust. He finally understood what the Sword was meant for, the sword was meant for limiting her power and rage.
"No," Tobi replied while clapping his hands together, rumbles going through the sunny sky... dark clouds rolled in, obscuring the sunlight.
’What is he doing?’
The Apprentices and their instructors were surprised as rain began descending, falling upon to the stadium below... but their surprise only increased when Tobi dropped both hands and raised four of his fingers upward, letting magical energy surge through them.
’I need to...’ Maria thought as she propelled her body forward, aiming to close the distance between herself and Tobi quickly – her instincts screamed at her that what he was about to do... it wasn’t going to be a little attack.
As the downpour continued, sparks of electricity surged through Tobi’s being – his four fingers directing it into the eye of the storm immediately... a shockwave pushed Maria backward and sent her tumbling to the ground, it was certainly troubling.
A bolt of thunder shot into the rainclouds, distant rumbles of thunder echoing through the battlefield as an evil grin spread through his face.
"Shockwave,"
The sky lit up and multiple bolts of lightning, ethereal and bulky in their own right descended from the sky – each of them aimed for the Apprentices and the Instructors – no one was to be spared.
