The Monster Monarch System-Chapter 183: Last Day In Orion
Rem’s eyes snapped open, he was still floating around in the darkness – this wasn’t an illusion like the grassland had been, this was entirely real. There was no platform for Rem to balance himself so he kept floating and the same thing would happen to anything and anyone who would be inside such a place... the laws of gravity were inherently denied.
Rem of course had a plan in action for this, he stabilized himself mid-air with his psionic power – this was one of his favorite powers.
"So what exactly is this Black void?" Rem muttered under his breath, floating by his own accord this time, a highlight of crimson energy engulfing his body. No matter how hard or how far he moved, it was like he hadn’t actually moved at all – he made no progress whatsoever.
A roar echoed in the void, it sounded like it was coming from everywhere at the same time to Rem... He immediately pulled his guard up, whatever had roared was certainly living in this void and Rem prepared himself for the imminent battle – he was sure that this was the dungeon boss.
’If a B-grade dungeon is this big... what about A-grade?’ Rem thought as the silence ensued, he still expected something was coming, ’If a B-grade is this large then an A-grade is certainly the size of a city and it’ll be extremely hard finding the Boss room,’
Rem was pulled out of his thoughts as his instincts blared in his head, prompting him to move and that was what he did – he moved out of the way and witnessed three menacing silver claws slash at where he had been standing, the wind produced from the slash blew Rem’s hair backward but the Apprentice wasn’t fazed even one bit.
Holy flames surged around Rem’s palms, their power was double of what Rem could conjure initially and he was happy for the growth of his spells but another thing that made him happy was the bigger pool of magical energy to draw upon, he could spam a lot of spells and even summoning while having a large portion of magical energy left.
A beam of holy flames tore through the air, heading to the places where the silver claws were gleaming. He was sure that the Monster’s full body was there but the beam passed through – it didn’t come in contact with any obstacle.
’The claw vanished,’ Rem noticed while moving out of his space, floating out of the way as the claws made an appearance once again. They were much more violent this time, striking down with unnerving precision.
"Show yourself," Rem said, his voice echoing into the darkness. He had seen a lot of Boss rooms in his life, and the C-grade dungeon confused him a bit since it was underground but it hadn’t been a problem. This was different... far more different than an underground boss room, it was a black void that held no route for escape.
The Monster was silent, the darkness around it warped to reveal a white octopus-like monster floating in the air with it’s tentacles swaying.

The dungeon lit up in a bright light, the Attacking force and the apprentices were confused – cliffs, mountains, caves crumbled under the bright blue light.
The Apprentices were surprised but the older and more experienced Raiders knew what this meant.
"The dungeon has been cleared! We’re going home!" A Cavalier cried out at the top of his lungs, alarming the others.
’Rem cleared it?’ Tero thought, the power that Rem held was unfathomable... he was sure that he wouldn’t be able to hold a candle to such power, ’To kill a B-grade dungeon’s boss by his lonesome – how much strength has he been hiding?’
The light soon washed over them and they found themselves in the Forest of Death, the dungeon gate had vanished and they were back... They were finally back in Orion!

Rem walked through the Black market, wearing a black cloak. He didn’t dare wear a mask, everyone was looking for the masked man after all and there were a lot of people that wanted the bounty on his head.
He soon found the stall of his customer, sitting down with a bored expression on his face. Upon reaching the table, he dropped a small bag of magic stones on the table.
"Give me the money, I don’t have time for this," Rem said, it was only a matter of time before he was reported to the authorities and they started a search for him, ’I need to leave this town and head to my next target – these demons, I need to learn more about them, they know too much about me,’
The clerk didn’t even look at his face and began counting the magic stones.
’They knew about the reawakening before me,’ Rem thought, ’So they must know other things, if it goes in my favor, I can become even stronger,’
A leather pouch of jiggling coins were thrown at him and Rem caught it.
"Thanks for doing business with you," Rem said before walking away, "Next time,"
The Cavaliers in the town had already been alerted – Yokama was one of the town’s top powers and hearing that he had been killed would of course stir them up.
"Find Rem! Check the Black market!" Rem heard an enraged shout as he stepped out the black market.
’The cavaliers have already begun their search, huh?’ Rem thought, ’All because of a single man,’
He vanished into thin air and appeared atop a roof, he had already been looking for an excuse to leave the town and this just gave him a good reason to head toward the city... staying within here would limit him, he still planned on visiting the Magus Academy – he still planned on doing so many things with his life.
He was grateful to Drew for taking him up as an Apprentice but he had to go... he wished he could show the gratitude but there wasn’t much time.
"He’s over there!"
"Fire him down!"
Several arrows from crossbows shot through the air toward Rem but he only glanced at them before shooting a powerful flamethrower from his palm, burning the Cavaliers that had attempted to attack him.
’I need to survive,’ Rem thought as he moved, his body turning to a blur. Some Cavaliers were soon assembled at all exits of the town, to prevent him from escaping while the others within the town looked for him – some had even headed into the forest of death to search for him, in case he decided to head to Orion.
They were prepared to deal with a child but what they were about to face wasn’t a child... it was a Monster.
Rem’s eyes let off a crisp glow as he kept moving, his crimson gaze steadied as he focused on his goal.
"Survival is the only option,"
