The Monster Monarch System-Chapter 162: The Prodigy Of The Blade (Part 3)
Olivia’s palms held her sword tightly, the resounding rumbling of thunder echoing through the air – Zarchary noticed her increased power and the smirk at his lips widened.
"Come at me," Zarchary said challengingly, and the Swordsman heeded his words – shooting forward in a loud boom of thunder.
Olivia appeared in front of him, lightning clasping her sword as she swung it forward. Zarchary moved away but his white robes were slashed through effortlessly, revealing his bare upper body to the Magic Swordsman.
’She’s much faster than before,’ Zarchary thought but it was to be expected, the Lightning element did increase one’s speed by a vast amount – it was within his expectations. As his robes fell to the ground, it was revealed that Zarchary wore black trousers....
Olivia didn’t relent, the lightning on her sword intensified as she slashed again but Zarchary dodged it.
’The first time she landed a hit was a fluke,’ Zarchary thought as she began swinging, lightning coating her blade – Zarchary dodged each and every one of her attacks, the low rumbling of thunder echoing with each swing.
Despite not landing any hit with her newfound speed, Olivia ’s movements didn’t falter – She struck with more force, honing her accuracy to the maximum with each strike. The longer this went on, the more she got used to her newfound power.
’Once you become a Magic swordsman,’ Her mentor’s words echoed again, ’I’m pretty sure you’ll have an affinity that’ll compliment your speed – much like the Lightning or wind element, if that happens, focus on mastering your element while the battle is going on, use your opponent as a pillar to increase your strength, hone your mastery over the element and always be in control, don’t let your element gain control,’
Blue sparks of lightning surged around Olivia’s feet as she propelled herself forward to Zarchary for the umpteenth time, her sword sparkling. She stabbed her sword forward and Zarchary raised a finger, coating it with magical energy – the collision of the two powers caused a shockwave that rattled the ground below them, creating a wide crater below the two fighters.
Matthew and the others made their way out of the cave and the boy’s pupils shrunk, seeing his sister fighting against someone... dangerous.
He gritted his teeth and clenched his fists as Olivia drew back her blade, stabbing it forward once again with speed laced in her movements. Zarchary countered it once again, showing his superior speed.
Matthew was annoyed, he had been with her since he was born – he knew firsthand how reckless she was when it came to protecting him, and he was annoyed – he was annoyed by his own weakness, relying on his sister to save him at every point... It wasn’t very man-like.
’She isn’t just fighting for me,’ Matthew thought, ’She’s fighting for all of us,’
"Just damn land already!" Olivia screamed in a rage, her hair laced flickering with lightning – her blank eyes glowed as she brought her sword down once again only for Zarchary to counter her with his palm, showing her a grin.
"Even after powering up, you can’t do anything to me," Zarchary said while pushing her away and landing a powerful kick right on her face – Olivia was forced flying through the air and the Demon didn’t waste this opportunity, he pointed at the small mountain where he was sensing Rem’s aura and his palm glowed in an ethereal crimson light.
"I’ll put an end to you, Monster Monarch," He muttered under his breath, the faces of his companions flashing in his head – the boy had dealt with every single one of them without much effort, it pained him... to feel all his companions pass away.
Before Olivia could steady herself, a crimson beam of magical energy shot through the air, moving toward the Small mountain to everyone’s surprise. Tero who was racing toward the camp stared at the beam as it moved through the air gracefully before slamming into the small mountain where he had come out from – destroying it.
’M-m-monster!’ Tero screamed inwardly, racing toward the camp with rage filled in his eyes.
Olivia’s eyes widened, her lightning vanishing as she stared at the place where Tero had gone – destroyed entirely...
’Tero,’ She thought, Tero had saved her... offered her a chance to live... gave her and her brother a place to stay... Zarchary turned to the warrior, she was speechless, just staring at the small Mountain.
’Was she close to the Monster Monarch?’ Zarchary wondered, a chilling wind suddenly hitting against his face – his silver hair was blown back as the wind only intensified, the lightning returned, more glorious and refined than before... and her blank eyes stared at him with murderous intent.
’Never have I seen a Human child give off this much Murderous intent,’ Zarchary thought, ’So she really does have a connection,’
"This is good," Zarchary said, "This is very good – another reason to kill her,"
Olivia vanished, the murderous intent vanishing alongside her as she appeared in front of him – Zarchary’s eyes slowly grew wide, he couldn’t move his body... no she was just going too fast.
’My eyes are fast enough to keep up with her but my body? How is this possible?’ Zarchary thought as Olivia stabbed the sword into his chest before taking off, shooting into the air with him at the end of her blade – she moved like a raging thunderbolt as they both shot through the air, leaving blue lightning in their wake.
Olivia felt her blade going deeper and deeper into Zarchary’s chest as they continued moving at this speed, the wind rippled behind her as she poured her entire being into this attack – her bones ached, veins popped up on her forehead but she kept pushing forward... determined to give her all to kill this opponent.
"Olivia!" Tero called out and the girl momentarily stopped her attack, glancing at the silver-haired boy that stood on a stone pillar with concern in his eyes.
The lightning surrounding her vanished and her pupils returned, a vivid smile flashing across her face but it was short-lived.
"Never take your eyes off your opponent," Zarchary advised while slamming his knee right at her stomach, prompting the girl to throw up blood. He broke the sword lodged in his chest with one hand and used the other to slap the girl toward the ground – his gaze though was fixated on Tero, something was different about him.
