The Monster Monarch System-Chapter 159: The Glacian (Part 2)
Tero gritted his teeth, watching as Rem spun in the air – his body riddled with slashes, he hadn’t even stood a chance against the might of the Monster before them.
’Damn,’ Tero thought, channeling more magical energy into creating the orb that glowed in his palm, ’If I use it at the output that it was in for the Rune Hounds, I doubt that would cause any damage to the Monster, that’s why I have to prepare for maximum output,’
’But how do I do that when Rem’s already out?!’ Tero screamed inwardly, his eyes still in a bit of a daze as he watched Rem falling from the air – blood still cascading out of his wounds.
Rem’s eyes suddenly glowed, green aura surging around them with energy akin to flames as he flipped mid-air, planting his feet into the ground and raising his sword for battle – the wounds hurt him but he could already feel himself slowly healing, his regeneration had kicked in.
The Glacian was surprised but it’s eyes still showed that it didn’t take Rem seriously, although Rem was determined to change that... he moved forward once again, throwing caution to the wind as he moved forward with Flash movement.
Despite using a skill to increase his speed to the maximum, The Glacian was still able to follow his movements perfectly, Rem’s sword blazed as crimson flames wrapped around it yet again, he slashed it at the Glacian and as soon as it touched the Monster’s skin, it was met with a resilient counter – Rem’s blade was stopped entirely, shattering into several pieces.
The Glacian roared, it’s mane blowing in the wind that followed as it brought down it’s paw again, angling it for a diagonal slash at Rem. The Apprentice dodged the strike by leaping away, the claws barely managing to graze his shoulder.
’He’s even faster,’ Tero noticed while his blue eyes widened – the slash had come down so fast but Rem had been able to dodge it...
Upon seeing this, The Glacian’s crimson claws glowered in crimson bursts of soul energy as the Monster started slashing at Rem, in an effort to show it’s superiority but each time it tried to hit Rem, the apprentice was able to dodge the strike without much effort – almost like he was taunting the bulky creature.
The Glacian brought it’s claws down at Rem but the Apprentice didn’t falter, leaping out of the way and avoiding being cut up into pieces, Rem was silent but the tension between Human and monster was rising. Despite losing his weapon, Rem didn’t get any less confident...
"I’m done!" Tero exclaimed, prompting Rem to stare back at the Apprentice while avoiding a claw strike from the Glacian once again. Once he noticed the large orb, the size of a basketball rotating around Tero’s palm, he gave a small nod.
Tero thrust the orb forward, letting it shoot through the air toward the Glacian who was eyeing the ball indifferently, not deeming it something worth concern... But the choice of the monster proved to be a mistake as the orb stopped right in front of it, the room began to vibrate as several rocks shot through the air and into the orb that had begun to expand.
Tero raised two fingers up and a smug smile tugged at his lips, he was confident in his attack and Rem who was now next to him thought the same.
"Maximum Output," Tero said, "Molecular Decimation,"
As soon as he spoke those words, the air in the room grew even thicker than before – the blue orb spiraling out of control and sucking in the Glacian’s left paw, as soon as the Monster’s appendage made contact with the orb of destruction, the molecules within it had already begun to dissipate and the Glacian watched as its entire left paw was consumed in a matter of seconds by this strange attack before it could react.
The force within the orb was pulling the monster closer, the powerful suction power of the Blue orb was something to be feared and even the Glacian feared it, it tried to move away but due to its injuries, it wasn’t able to get that far.
The orb kept on expanding and expanding, it’s aura alone was enough to decorate the ground with web-like cracks... the more magical energy he pushed into his spell, the more damage it would be able to deal.
Tero gritted his teeth, a drop of sweat running down his forehead. He maintained a calm and steady composure although that stopped when Rem noticed the orb had started getting out of hand, growing stronger by the second as well as larger.
"What’re you doing?" Rem asked, "We’re in the center of these caves, which is lower to the underground than what you think – Do you want to get us killed?"
Tero looked at Rem with a glare.
"This is one of the first times I’ve tried out this technique after all," Tero finally said, easing up his glare and giving a nervous chuckle, "So I don’t know how to control it for now, it was much less easier when there was less magical energy in it,"
Rem remained silent as the terror ensued, the destructive aura engulfing even the Glacian and more and more things were slowly but surely surging into the spell’s center. By the time they got to the center of the spell, their molecules would already be dispersed entirely.
"We have to go," Tero warned urgently, grabbing Rem’s hand while running back at the opening where they had come from, "It’s going to explode,"
The violent magical energy within Tero’s spell exploded rapidly, rattling the cave as the energy was dispersed forcefully. Both Apprentices pressed their eyes shut as the explosion rattled several parts of the room they had just been in, they were a considerable distance away from the opening and upon hearing the explosion – a bright shade of pink painted Tero’s cheeks.
’I’ll master Maximum Output,’ Tero thought, ’If I only had a bit more control over it... This wouldn’t be happening,’

Author’s Note:
Hehe, I wonder if the Glacian is finished... it has been hyped up for quite a while though, would be a shame if it went out like that.
