The Hunter's Lively Wife-Chapter 2042: A Multitude of Treasures
The best foods by the seaside are undoubtedly the seafood like fish, shrimp, and crab.
Because the dock’s freight business has gathered merchants from everywhere, even though this place is small and merchants aren’t exactly abundant, many large and small restaurants have still developed in the surrounding area.
Gu Ya mentioned that some of the boats on the sea operate as restaurants, with little difference from the restaurants outside; eating on the boat allows one to enjoy the beautiful scenery of the sea all around.
Gu Ya’s suggestion sounded good, but Su Yunjin had no intention of eating on the boat. After she and Gu Ya had spent enough time on the boat, they planned to go ashore to eat at a restaurant on the land.
As Su Yunjin saw it, eating on the rocking boat wasn’t comfortable at all; it was better to go to a restaurant by the shore, and they could also enjoy the sea view there.
Gu Ya didn’t mind; he wasn’t too particular about where to eat as a man. Wherever his little wife wanted to eat, he would go along.
Gu Ya had no objections.
Su Yunjin leaned against Gu Ya’s chest on the boat as they enjoyed the scenery, and Gu Ya pointed out that there were good things up ahead, where many merchants from afar were selling goods.
The merchants sold a wide variety of items, from fabrics, tea, jade, and even some fur tools, so it was easy to come across interesting and good things wherever they went.
Su Yunjin perked up at the thought, "Husband, shall we go have a look now?"
Gu Ya had the same thought, nodding in agreement, "Hmm!"
The wind was strong on the sea, and Little Yuanbao and Little Tiangua were only six months old, so Su Yunjin worried about them being caught in the wind and kept them from going outside.
Aunt Bao and the wet nurse held the two children in the ship’s cabin, closing the windows on the boat as well, the two children were left to play in the cabin; it was the first time for the siblings to be on a boat, and initially, both little ones were quite intrigued, finding everything new and fresh. Especially Little Yuanbao, with his big, black eyes twirling around, rarely showing such interest in anything.
Little Tiangua was the same, darting her bright, watery eyes about; once the two little ones were taken into the cabin, they were unhappy about it. Little Yuanbao kept trying to scamper outside the cabin, and Little Tiangua also didn’t want to be moved into the cabin.
Seeing the two children unwilling, Su Yunjin had to follow them into the cabin to soothe them. After all, they were just six-month-old little ones; soon enough, the two were distracted into forgetting the recent events, with Little Tiangua giggling away while being teased in her father’s arms, and although Little Yuanbao wasn’t fussing anymore, he still seemed to occasionally sneak peeks outside the cabin.
"Madam, sir, we’ve reached the dock market."
The boatman called out from outside, and Su Yunjin instinctively glanced at Gu Ya, "Husband, we’ve arrived, shall we head out to have a look now!"
Taking the two children outside would be inconvenient, so Su Yunjin left them in the care of the wet nurse and others on the boat. To ensure the children’s safety, Gu Ya even called Hong Wu over; with Hong Wu watching over them, there was sure to be no problem.
Su Yunjin happily took Gu Ya’s hand to disembark, and as soon as they reached the bow, they were met with the bustling sounds from outside.
Su Yunjin looked up to find not only were there many merchants selling goods, but the variety of items was dazzling. The sound of bargaining at the dock came one after the other, and Su Yunjin joyfully tugged Gu Ya down the boat, "Husband, look, it’s so lively up ahead."
