The Heavenly Demon of Terror-Chapter 347: Battle in Vez’kar (Part 2)
Chapter 347 - Battle in Vez’kar (Part 2)
Samuel's POV
The air ignited around me as Goaliath surged forward, every step of the Demon Lord leaving craters of molten ruin behind. His war cry shattered the clouds above—sky and fire bleeding together as we collided.
CLANG!!!
His infernal war hammer met my raised gauntlets, the impact sending out a shockwave that ruptured the ground for miles. Entire cliffs collapsed, and rivers of lava hissed and spat like serpents disturbed from slumber.
My arms screamed from the force, but I stood my ground—sliding back only a few feet.
"Not bad," I said, flexing my fingers. "You actually made me feel that one."
Goaliath snarled, flames spewing from his maw. "You think this is a game, mortal?! I am the one who devoured the Flame Kings of Del'Shaar! I shattered the Crimson World with my breath!"
"And I broke the System," I shot back, my voice dark with purpose. "So shut up and fight me properly."
He roared, and the ground beneath him cracked open. From it rose massive molten chains—each one thicker than a tree trunk—lashing toward me with the speed of lightning.
I responded in kind.
Voidstep – Supreme Variant.
My body flickered across reality, evading the first three chains as I dashed toward him in bursts of shadow. The fourth chain nearly caught my leg, but I countered mid-step, channeling Reality Sever.
The void-edge slash ripped through the chain with a shriek of tearing existence.
Goaliath grunted, swinging his hammer again. This time it came with a second wave—an eruption of Demonic Flame Tsunami.
It tore across the battlefield like an inferno tide. Hills melted. Metal trees ignited.
I didn't dodge.
Unbroken Form – Mythic Passive Triggered.
I braced my stance, pulled my right arm back, and slammed my fist into the ground.
Fangfire Overdrive.
A surge of flame and void exploded outward from my core, meeting his tsunami head-on.
The collision sent sparks raining like meteors across Vez'kar. Half the realm dimmed from the power.
When the smoke cleared, I was standing firm—charred, cracked, but grinning.
Goaliath stared at me. "You... survived that?"
"I eat worse for breakfast," I said, summoning both gauntlets to full charge.
They transformed—Gauntlets of the Demon now veined with red lightning, dripping with dark mana like living blood.
I dashed forward.
The air cracked.
Astral Rend – Empowered Form.
My left gauntlet tore through his shoulder plate, slicing molten blood into the air. Goaliath howled and tried to counter with a downward strike.
Too slow.
I vaulted over his swing, landed on his back, and drove my fists into the core at his spine.
Devourer's Pulse.
Soul Drain 10%.
"GRAAAAH!!!"
Goaliath threw me off—but staggered. His body now bled a mix of void and demonic energy.
"You bastard! You dare consume my essence?!"
I wiped blood off my lip. "I dare a lot of things."
He slammed his hand into the ground—Hell-Crucible Awakening activated.
Massive demon totems erupted in a circle around us, sealing the battlefield. Chains of fate wove into the sky, locking us inside an arena of fire.
The arena of gods.
"So now you trap me with you?" I raised an eyebrow. "I was hoping you'd do that."
Goaliath extended both arms, his hammer vanishing as two Abyss Blades formed in their place. "No more games, Samuel Gebb. No more tests. I kill you here—and with your death, I claim Ebonreach."
"Then come and try."
---
The final phase began.
Our blows turned to blurs—each clash of our weapons rupturing the laws of space. The totems cracked. The chains snapped under our power.
He cleaved at me—I ducked and countered with Chaos Tempest, breaking his guard and slamming him into a molten wall.
He screamed—and retaliated with Infernal Rift, dragging me into a pocket dimension of screaming fire demons.
Big mistake.
In that moment, I unleashed Crownbearer's Dominion.
The air around me bent. The fire demons screamed and disintegrated. My soul armor reformed with obsidian wings, my eyes glowing pure white.
I tore through the pocket realm and emerged behind Goaliath—shoving my gauntlet straight through his back.
"FOR ROS—!"
But I stopped.
I didn't finish her name.
Because this victory... wasn't for her.
It was for me.
"For the one who broke fate itself."
I crushed his heart.
Goaliath screamed—and his body burst into demonic flame.
The chains shattered.
The totems imploded.
And the Abyss of Iron Flames... fell silent.

[System Notification]

Realm Vez'kar has submitted to your dominion.
You have earned the title: Abyss King.
Roselle Vasilyev has been notified of your conquest.
---
I stood there in silence as the ashes of Goaliath drifted across the sky.
I looked upward, the crimson clouds swirling like torn silk.
"Did you see that, Roselle?" I whispered.
"I didn't do this for you. But I won't stop you if you come."
The realm of Vez'kar now bore my mark.
Another throne earned.
Another storm awakened.
And somewhere, in her obsidian palace...
I knew she was watching.
