The Grand Duke's Son Is A Heretic-Chapter 392
In a huge dark hall stood towering black pillars stretching into the shadows above.
The air became heavy and cold, filled with a faint smell of ash and blood. A deep silence hung over the place until a thick crimson mist began to gather in the center of the room. The mist twisted and turned, glowing faintly as it formed a tight circle that pulsed like a beating heart. 𝒇𝙧𝙚𝓮𝔀𝓮𝒃𝙣𝓸𝒗𝒆𝒍.𝙘𝒐𝒎
From the mist, several figures slowly appeared, with their bodies covered in shadows. They didn’t look human.
Their eyes glowed faintly, and their presence alone made the air feel heavy and hard to breathe. Each one took a seat on a throne that rose from the ground as if summoned by their power.
They were the the Demon Kings, the ruler of the Demon continent.
The first to speak was a tall figure with burning eyes and long black horns. His voice was sharp and cold.
"The humans have become quite noisy these days."
Another one, his body half hidden in smoke, gave a short laugh. His voice was thin and eerie, like a whisper in the dark.
"They really are pushing their luck too much. I thought they’d learn after the last war."
The Demon King of Wrath clenched his clawed hand, his expression fierce.
"They are gathering weapons again. Their soldiers are marching closer to the borders. It’s time we remind them who rules this world."
A heavy silence followed his words. The sound of crackling fire came from one side, where the Demon King of Gluttony sat. He had a huge body, his face half buried in darkness. He licked his lips and let out a slow, hungry chuckle.
"I wouldn’t mind that. It’s been too long since I tasted human flesh."
The others ignored him.
The Demon Queen of Lust, sitting gracefully with her misty form glowing faintly red, crossed her legs and leaned back in her throne. Her voice was smooth, but there was something sharp beneath it.
"Humans have changed. They are not the same weak creatures they once were. I heard even Myths have begun to appear among them."
Her words made a few of the demon kings glance at each other. The word Myth carried weight even among demons.
The Demon King of Envy spoke next, his voice low and trembling with irritation."Those cursed myths are ruining our plans. They fight like monsters. If this continues, they will disturb the balance we built."
The Demon King of Greed leaned forward, his eyes gleaming with strange light."Then should we attack first? If we move together, no army can stop us."
Before anyone could answer, a loud sound echoed through the hall.
"Snore... snore..."
Everyone turned to the far corner of the room. There, the Demon King of Sloth was asleep, his head resting on the arm of his throne. His snores filled the hall, slow and deep.
The Demon King of Wrath slammed his fist against the armrest, his eyes burning.
"Wake him up!"
The other six demons released a wave of aura at once. The air trembled, and the ground cracked slightly under the pressure.
Sloth jumped up with a start, his eyes wide open."Huh? What happened? Did someone die?"
He rubbed his eyes and yawned. "What’s with this sudden meeting? Can’t it wait till later?"
He stretched his arms lazily, clearly not caring about the tension in the room. The others stared at him in disbelief, though no one seemed surprised. They were used to his behavior.
The Demon Queen of Lust sighed softly.
"Always the same. You could sleep through the end of the world."
Sloth only shrugged. "Maybe. But if the world ends, at least I won’t have to get up."
A few demons groaned. Even the Demon King of Wrath gave up arguing.
Then someone noticed an empty throne. The Demon King of Pride was missing.
"Where is he?" asked Envy.
"Probably looking at himself again," Greed muttered. "He never misses a chance to admire his own reflection."
Lust smiled faintly. "It doesn’t matter. We have more serious things to discuss."
Sloth leaned forward, his eyes glowing brighter."Ohh so the humans have started overpowering us and we are losing ground.. They are building camps and sending scouts. If they continue, we’ll lose our advantage."
Greed nodded. "Then we strike now. Before they gather their full strength."
"Yes," Gluttony said, his grin widening. "Let’s crush them all."
For a moment, the hall filled with murmurs of agreement. The sound of their voices mixed with the deep hum of dark energy in the air.
Then Lust spoke again, her voice calm but cold."Should we deploy him?"
"Who?"others asked curiously.
"I am talking about the guy who defected to the Demon.."
"That Devil...Hisssss!"
The question froze everyone. The air grew still. Even Sloth stopped yawning hearing this
Wrath’s face hardened. "That might be too much."
Envy’s eyes flickered uneasily. "He doesn’t know the difference between friend or foe once he starts fighting. He kills everything on sight."
Gluttony grinned but said nothing. Even he knew the danger of the one they were talking about.
"He could destroy both humans and demons alike," Greed said quietly. "It would be chaos."
Lust tilted her head slightly, her red eyes glowing faintly. "Still, if the situation becomes worse, he might be our only choice."
Wrath clenched his jaw and nodded. "Then we wait and see. If humans push any further, we will unleash the deadly mass of destruction."
The room fell silent again. The mist around them thickened, turning darker. The sound of their breathing echoed faintly through the hall.
Outside, the air trembled as dark energy spread across the land. The six demons sat on their thrones, their glowing eyes fixed on the mist in front of them, watching, waiting.
One by one, the Demon Kings began to fade back into the thick mist that had brought them there. The crimson fog swirled around their thrones, wrapping each of them in darkness as if the room itself was swallowing them whole.
