Since he was going to attack that city anyway, he decided to take his soldiers to pursue the warriors. That way, the warriors won’t be able to reinforce this second city and make it more difficult.

Their pursuit was by land. They caught up to the warriors, surrounded them, and killed them.

What no one expected was for them to encounter a team of warriors rushing to reinforce the city that had just attacked. They were coming from inland, so Loki’s team met them and fought with them for a while.

Loki didn’t do much in this battle. He just killed the most powerful rank 3, which was enough for his team to secure victory.

This fight slowed them down considerably. But even then, they still managed to catch the next city off guard because no one expected the Four Directions Sect to go further inland.

Usually, when a city is attacked and falls, the cities on the left and right are next to be attacked. No one goes further inland to attack because it means risking being surrounded by enemies and cut off from reinforcement.

But Amelia had asked him to take the attack inland, so here he was, doing exactly that. And it was even very easy to do. This was because not only were the defenders of the city not ready for an attack, but they also didn’t have a rank 4 protector.

For now, his subordinates didn’t think that there was any problem. In fact, things appear to be going very well for them. Their captain was absurdly strong, and they were killing their enemies easily. So there shouldn’t be a problem.

But even the most ignorant of them realized that something was wrong when the next target was another city further inland. This will make it so that they will be four cities deep into enemy ranks.

Post 419, his original post, is where the ranks of the Four Directions Sect end. Post 421, the one Greg was dismissed from, and he took over recently, is where the ranks of the Martial Body Sect begin.

So post 421 was already within enemy territory. This makes it so that the first city that they attacked is two cities deep within enemy lines, and the second city that they attacked is three cities deep in enemy ranks.

At this point, they are already at risk of being surrounded and submerged by the enemies. But Amelia still wants them to go deeper.
