The Extra Seeks Chaos-Chapter 247: BAZOOKA
Arin's eyes were fixated on the red light, and as it died down, it finally revealed what it was hiding.
Arin's eyes shone as his body shivered.
"You've finally decided to show yourself, huh...?"
A Raven was currently standing in front of him.
The Raven stood as tall as a fully grown man, its curved beak as sharp as a scythe. Its talons, large enough to crush bones, dug into the earth with unnatural weight.
Its wings stretched wide, spanning nearly twenty feet from tip to tip. Feathers as long as swords rustled with every subtle movement, casting deep shadows over the ground.
Though, the most interesting thing about this Raven were its eyes.
They glowed a deep red, and held a certain kind of intelligence.
"Ah, took you long enough," Arin muttered as he stared at the Raven.
The Raven tilted its head, and in that same moment...
Arin's eyes widened.
He gasped as he took a step back.
"D... Did I just hear its voice...?"
He could swear that he just heard the Raven's voice in his head.
And it was asking if Arin was insulting it.
Arin shook his head. "Nope, I'm just wondering why you're just showing yourself now."
In the novel, immediately the Raven hatched, Alex was able to see it, but in Arin's case, the Raven turned into a tattoo and just kept absorbing his Blood Energy for weeks.
'Well, I still believe that my Blood Energy is the cause of that,' Arin thought.
He was even more sure about this after seeing the Raven's eyes.
The Raven's eyes were black in the novel, but currently, they're red.
Arin suddenly heard the Raven's voice again.
"I needed time to adjust to that strange energy of yours."
Arin couldn't help but still be surprised.
His shock was actually valid, after all, in the novel, the Raven never spoke.
'If I remember correctly, as the Raven began growing, Alex was able to understand the Raven even without it saying anything.
'He would only feel some sort of energy in his mind, and he would instantly know what the Raven meant. There was no mention of the Raven ever speaking.'
Arin squinted his eyes.
'Hmm, maybe it would have happened later, but my Blood Energy just fastened the process? I don't know. Or maybe Alex could actually hear the Raven speak but the author just didn't mention it...'
It was possible, after all, the author wouldn't describe everything.
Forgetting that for now, Arin focused on the Raven.
Despite its size, the Raven's voice was quite tiny, almost like that of a little boy.
Arin knew that the strange energy it was talking about was his Blood Energy.
Without wasting time, he went straight to business.
"So, are you able to come out now?" Arin asked.
"Yes," the Raven said. "But I hope you don't have a lot of enemies. I'm nothing but a little boy, so I can't fight for long."
At this point, Arin had confirmed it.
The intelligence in the Raven's eyes wasn't just for show.
It was the real deal.
'I also believe my Blood Energy made it mature quickly and made it intelligent,' Arin thought.
Arin began walking forward slowly as he spoke:
"Nah, I don't really have much enemies..."
"Hmm, you know, you're quite bad at lying," the Raven said.
Arin's expression quickly turned into a frown. "Huh? Impossible! I'm a pro liar... One whose lies cannot be detected!"
"Now you're just openly admitting that you lied," the Raven said and let out something like a sigh. "How dumb are you, really?"
The veins on Arin's head bulged as his eyebrows twitched.
Trying to calm himself, he decided to change the topic.
"What is this place?" he asked as he raised his head, staring at the red clouds and red lightning.
The Raven opened its mouth as if in shock as its voice sounded in Arin's head.
"Huh? How the hell am I supposed to know? If anything, you're the one who's supposed to tell me what this place is."
"Huh?" Arin frowned.
At this point, they just looked like two confused fellows.
"So you're telling me that you don't know what this place is even though it exists and is a part of you?" the Raven asked.
Arin was silent, but his mind was exploring different possibilities right now.
'Water Element Mana Space... Blue clouds... Ocean-like surface... Blue mist...
'Chaos Element Mana Space... Purple clouds... Purple lightning... Barren ground... Purple mist...'
Arin looked up again, staring at the red clouds and red lightning.
'So, could this be something like a Blood Energy Space...? Something like that?'
This was the only plausible theory he could come up with now.
"You!"
Arin instantly snapped out of his thoughts after hearing the Raven's voice.
"Do you get lost that easily?"
Arin raised a brow. "Yes... Because I take my time to think, unlike you."
This was Arin's way of getting back at the Raven for calling him dumb, but now, he was wondering if what he said even made sense.
'I might just really be dumb...'
"Hmph, forget it," the Raven said.
'I don't know what's going on in the real world, so I might as well get out of here,' Arin thought.
He stared at the Raven before asking:
"Oi! How do I leave this place?"
The Raven tilted its head, but suddenly, it laughed.
"Hahaha!"
The next instant, it suddenly flapped its wings, and then...
WHOOSH!
A wild gust of wind rushed towards Arin, making his brown hair flutter wildly.
The Raven kept flapping its wings and its huge body began levitating, slowly going up in the air.
After reaching quite a distance above Arin, it finally stopped, just levitating in place.
"Hahaha! Now you need my help, huh?"
Arin had a blank expression on his face as he stared at the Raven.
"Did it fly upwards just to look down at me and feel like some sort of god?" Arin muttered to himself.
"Now, if you want me to tell you, you have to bow and show your respect for me!"
Arin scoffed. "In your dreams."
He sat down on the ground in a lotus position and closed his eyes, surprising the Raven.
"H... Huh? What the hell do you think you are doing? Don't you want to l-leave this place?"
Arin completely ignored the Raven.
'I only asked it if it knew how I could leave this place because it would be faster, instead of trying different methods,' Arin thought.
'But I'd rather find a way by myself now...'
With that, Arin began sensing his Blood Energy that was in his body.
Though, he could also feel that there was Blood Energy all around him.
'This confirms it... This place is indeed deeply connected with Blood Energy.'
He kept sensing the Blood Energy in his body, and as his concentration increased, the Raven's voice also began getting lower.
After a few seconds, he couldn't even hear the Raven's ramblings anymore.
He kept circulating his Blood Energy around his body rapidly.
This was one of the things he did when he was trying to meet the Raven, but it didn't work.
Now, he was doing it to see if he would be able to leave this space.
'Hmm... It's not working.'
'Think... Think... Think.'
Suddenly, he had an idea.
He directed his Blood Energy towards his back where the tattoo was present.
Since that was where the tattoo was, it might work, right?
He concentrated his Blood Energy on his back, hoping that he would be able to leave this place for now.
Meanwhile, in the real world, Tessa, Riya, Ethan and Leon were currently in Arin's room.
Arin was on the bed, still unconscious, and Tessa was seated beside him, caressing his head softly.
"We have to do something," Leon suddenly said, breaking the minutes of silence that had been in the room.
"But what exactly?" Riya muttered, her gaze never leaving Arin.
Ethan sighed. "At least, the good news is that he's breathing."
Tessa kept staring at Arin's closed eyes through his mask. She was about to say something, but suddenly...
"Huh?" they all muttered at the same time.
Arin's brown hair suddenly changed. It became white and long.
His nails elongated, turning into claws.
But apart from that, a red glow suddenly emanated from his back.
"Wait... why is he turning into his Vampire form...?" Riya muttered as she squinted her eyes.
Meanwhile, a smile blossomed on Tessa's face.
"I can feel it... He's waking up..."
**********
In the strange space, Arin was still in deep concentration, but he could finally feel something.
'This... I can feel it... I'm regaining consciousness...'
He could feel himself waking up in the real world, but before he could even get excited, he suddenly heard the Raven's voice.
"Wait... Before you go, you have to give me a name in order to complete the bond. If not, I won't be able to come out!"
Arin quickly understood what the Raven was saying.
He would have loved to give the Raven a few more insults before giving it a name, but there was no time for that now. He was already waking up.
"Alright, I'll give you a name. When I return, we'll continue our quarrel."
'Hmm, what should I name this Raven...?'
Arin was struggling to come up with names, but suddenly...
A grin formed on his face.
"Hey! I don't like the look on your face... I hope you're not planning to give me a shitty name!"
Arin shook his head. "Nope... I have the perfect name for you..."
"From now on, your name shall be... BAZOOKA!!!"
