"Thank you for joining us," Flora said as she gave a courteous bow.

Arin, Tessa, and Ron were honestly surprised when she thanked them. After all, to some extent, they were the ones supposed to thank her and the Royal Family for giving them this opportunity.

Instantly, the trio also bowed.

"Thank you for having us," they said in unison.

Elena didn't even bother to say anything. She just folded her arms and kept glaring at them from the corner of her eyes.

Her hostile attitude to Tessa was especially obvious.

'Typical yandere behavior,' Arin thought.

With that, the three of them entered the royal carriage, ready to leave for Greenfield Academy.

As the carriage began levitating and moving away, they could see Landon waving at them from the balcony with a cheeky grin.

He was the most cheerful and playful among the King's children... Even the novel described him that way.

Arin folded his arms as he enjoyed the cool breeze brushing past his face.

'Before the novel went on hiatus, the few last chapters made it clear that the children of the King would play an important role,' Arin thought.

He glanced at Tessa and Ron who were discussing about the food before he glanced outside again.

'Clara displayed her importance to the plot by carrying an experiment that made it possible to turn Water Element Spells to Ice. This made Water Mages a bit more powerful.'

Though the novel didn't mention what the others would do, it was clear that they would play a big role.

"Especially the first son..." Arin muttered.

His mind then drifted to the Queen.

His expression turned sober a bit, but a small smile still tugged at his lips.

'I can't imagine how that may have affected him...'

Suddenly, he felt a nudge on his shoulder.

"Hey, Arin. What's on your mind?" Tessa asked, staring at him.

Arin stared back at her. "Nothing. I was just thinking about the castle."

"Oh," she folded her arms, "Ron and I were talking about the... you know..."

She stared at Arin with a grin.

Arin knew that she was talking about the last items Clara gave them.

It was definitely worth getting curious about. After all, she even mentioned that it was special.

"What do you think it is?" Arin asked.

Tessa shrugged. "I don't know... Maybe a new Magic object a genius invented."

"That's what I also think it is," Ron said.

"Let's just be patient," Arin said. "We'll eventually find out."

**********

Inside the castle, in the throne room, some figures were present.

The way the figures were dressed suggested that they were nobles.

The atmosphere in the throne room was tense, and the nobles were all staring at the King.

"Now that you all have heard the situation, what do you think about it?"

Clinton, the King's first son, asked, as he stared at all the other nobles.

He was also seated on one of the chairs just like the other nobles.

"If this isn't a sign of war, then I don't know what it is," a man with short red hair said.

A few others nodded in agreement. It seemed like the most reasonable explanation.

"My King, I think it really is a declaration of war, because we're not just talking about a small amount of Vampires. They can be called an army," another man said.

Rowan nodded. "Alright, then. Since we have all agreed that this is a declaration of war, we have to make our move now."

Rowan glanced at Clinton, his eye dull.

"Clinton, you're in charge of this situation," Rowan said as he closed his eyes for a second. "You can tell me all about what was discussed when the meeting is over."

Clinton stared at his father with a look of understanding.

"Understood, father."

Rowan sighed and nodded before he stood up from the throne, and began walking towards the door.

They all stood up and bowed as he left the room.

As soon as he left, they sat down.

Clinton understood that this conversation was affecting his father and he knew why.

With a hardened gaze, he stared at the Dukes and Barons in the room.

'Father has put me in charge... I must make sure to live up to his expectations,' Clinton thought.

With that, he began speaking, wanting to make sure that they made a decision today.

Meanwhile, in Blackstone City, inside a forest, around 500 figures were present, and they were all standing behind a man with long red hair.

Vaelric's gaze was fierce as he stared at the five Vampires in front of him.

The five Vampires were on their knees and were trembling with fear.

"Disobedience..." Vaelric muttered as his eyes glowed. "That's the one thing I won't tolerate."

The large number of Vampires behind him shuddered just from the intensity of his voice.

Vaelric continued. "I specifically instructed some of you to bring the humans discreetly, but..."

He stared at the five kneeling Vampires again.

"But the five of you decided to do what you wanted, and you ended up releasing your Blood Energy."

One of the kneeling Vampires managed to speak. "My lord... I-"

SLASH!

His eyes suddenly widened as his words hooked.

The other Vampires looked in horror at the scene before them.

The Vampire who spoke was headless before he even realized it.

Thud!

His head fell with a thud as Vaelric stared at the remaining four Vampires who were still kneeling.

"This is what happens when my instructions get ignored..."

SLASH!

Once again, Vaelric didn't even move, and yet, the four Vampires lost their heads.

He turned his head, staring at a small clearing not too far from him.

In the clearing, about 100 humans were tied, and they had wounds on their bodies, suggesting that they had been beaten.

A grin instantly formed on Vaelric's face.

"Time to turn them..."

He then stared at all the Vampires behind him before speaking.

"The humans must have known that we, the Vampires, are responsible for the missing humans because those fools didn't follow instructions."

"But..."

He grinned.

"We came here for war... We came here to show these disgusting creatures called humans what we are capable of."

"We didn't come here to hide..."

"Yessss!" The Vampires exclaimed, forgetting about the dead Vampires on the ground.

Their fierceness had returned, and they were ready to kill.

Vaelric glanced at the tied humans.

"These ones will be enough to add to our army for now."

With his hands behind his back, he began levitating off the ground, a smirk on his lips.

"So, with this..."

His eyes glowed a deep crimson.

"Let's destroy... Let's annihilate... And let's show our supremacy!"

"Yesss!"

With this, everything had finally changed, and what Arin didn't know was that he would have to initiate his plan sooner than he thought.

*********

The royal carriage finally stopped once inside the Academy.

Arin, Tessa, and Ron came down and watched the carriage levitate away.

"Ah, I never thought I would miss my room this much," Ron said as the trio began walking towards the dorm buildings.

Tessa chuckled. "This period we were away from the Academy felt like a year. If it were a book, our time away from the Academy would have definitely taken up to fifteen chapters."

'Hmm, the tournament took about fifteen chapters in the novel, so I guess that's quite accurate,' Arin thought as he chuckled to himself.

He raised his head, staring at the sunset.

It was beautiful as always... The golden hue it cast on the world was an undeniably beautiful sight.

"Remember," Tessa said as she walked beside Arin. "We stared at the sunset together when we were in that carriage."

Arin smiled. "True... I wonder how the people in that village are doing, especially that little girl."

Ron didn't understand what they were saying, but he knew he heard something about them being together in a carriage.

There weren't much students outside since it was almost curfew time, and The Area had already closed for the day, so they were able to walk peacefully.

If the students were still outside, they would have certainly rushed towards the three of them and swarmed them with questions.

After some minutes, they finally separated, and entered their different rooms.

Arin instantly collapsed on his bed as he stared at the ceiling.

"It was a long day..." Seraphine said.

"You can say that again," Arin said, his mind replaying the events that took place today.

He dropped the bracelet on the floor, and Roxanne appeared.

She greeted him as usual before walking towards the window.

"Back to the same view," she chuckled.

Arin shook his head and smiled.

Roxanne was speaking more freely with him and he liked it.

"Now, time for business."

Arin instantly brought the weapon and the mysterious item out from his inventory.

He first unwrapped the weapon, and it was indeed, a sword.

As for the Rank, well...

"Of course..."
