The Extra Seeks Chaos-Chapter 213: Tension & Rewards
Landon smiled lightly as he raised his hands as if he was surrendering.
"Calm down, big sis," he muttered.
The intensity in Clara's eyes didn't diminish for even a second as she continued glaring at Landon.
Landon realized what she was trying to say and quickly waved his hands.
"Alright, alright, I'll go," he said.
"Good..." Clara whispered as the Water Spike disappeared from her hand, and she let go of Landon.
His smirk returned as he walked past Clara and reached Elena before hitting her shoulder lightly, teasing her.
He glanced at Flora, the second princess among the three princesses who had long black hair just like Landon.
They both nodded at each other before Landon finally walked away.
Clara turned to face Arin, Tessa and Ron who had neutral expressions.
She joined her hands together before speaking, "Alright, sorry for the delay."
The trio nodded in response.
Seeing that, she turned again, facing the door.
Suddenly, a key appeared on her hand, and she opened the door with it.
The door opened with a small creak, and Clara walked inside. Without turning back, she said, "Follow me."
The trio, and the two princesses behind them walked into the room, following Clara.
The room was big, and a big chandelier light was hanging on the ceiling.
There were two couches in the room facing each other, and a table was in the middle of the two couches.
The room had that same refreshing scent of luxury... The same one the dining room had.
Arin observed and he noticed another door at the end of the room.
He squinted his eyes slightly, but he ignored it.
"Please, sit," Flora said as she gestured for them to sit down on one of the couches.
The three of them sat down on one of the couches, the one backing the door while Elena and Flora sat down on the other couch.
"Please, be patient. I'll be right back," Clara said before walking towards the door Arin noticed earlier.

She opened the door and entered before closing it.
Now, there were just five of them in the room.
The silence was... well... quite disturbing.
The main reason it was disturbing was due to Elena's gaze.
For some reason, she was glaring at the three of them this time.
Tessa leaned back on the couch, and that simple action of her's seemed to flick a switch in Elena.
Instantly...
"You all are the reason my father ordered Alex not to participate in the tournament, right?"
Her gaze hardened. "If not, he would have been here now."
Before any of them could even say anything, she folded her arms and continued.
"You, uhm, Tessa, was it?" She raised a brow, staring at Tessa. "We have an issue, and I believe you know what it is."
Tessa squinted her eyes, quite speechless.
She had heard Alex talking about Elena before, and even though he didn't say anything about them having a relationship, it was quite obvious from the way he spoke about her.
But even with that, she decided to play dumb.
"Uhm, I'm not quite sure, Princess Elena," Tessa said.
Elena instantly frowned, ready to reply Tessa.
Ron's mouth was open, and his eyes kept darting between Elena and Tessa, wondering what the hell was going on.
The tension in the room was slowly increasing, meanwhile, Arin just folded his arms and observed.
'In the novel, Elena was part of Alex's harem,' Arin thought. 'And she wanted Alex all to herself... She didn't want him to be with anyone else.'
Arin was recalling all the information in the novel related to Elena.
'When Alex and Tessa were also in this castle after winning the tournament, she was hostile to Tessa... Just like she is now.'
A small smile formed on his lips.
'In this case, Alex isn't here, so some things might change, but if I remember correctly, when she was about to escalate things and start a quarrel...'
"Elena!" Flora said, her voice a bit loud and also firm.
Elena shuddered a bit as she stared at her elder sister.
"Enough of that issue with Alex," Flora continued. "Father has promised you something, so I do not want to hear about it again."
"I-"
"Is that clear?" Flora cut Elena off.
Elena gritted her teeth before answering, "Yes, sister."
"Good," Flora said.
She looked at Elena before she continued.
"And by the way, that behavior you displayed... It wasn't very royal of you."
To Elena, this was an insult and embarrassment, especially since Flora said this in front of mere students of Greenfield Academy.
But what could she do?
Absolutely nothing!
After all, Flora was older than her.
Creak!
The sound of a door was heard, and Clara walked out of the room she entered before.
She was holding three objects wrapped with blue cloths.
Without saying anything, she placed the objects on the table.
She cleared her throat before speaking. "These are the rewards for winning the tournament."
"I know the three of you can probably guess what it is from the shapes," she added.
Indeed, from the shapes, they could all tell that the three objects were weapons.
"We were able to know your choice of weapon from the tournament, so a weapon was prepared for each of you as a reward," Clara said.
Though, she still hadn't mentioned what were the Rank of the weapons, but the King wouldn't give the Common Rank Weapons as a reward, right?
With that being said, she handed each of them the weapons.
She gave the longest weapon present to Ron, and it was obvious that it was a spear.
Then she handed Arin and Tessa a sword each.
They didn't remove the cloth used to wrap the weapons yet. It was obvious that they had each decided to check their weapon when they were alone.
Ron and Tessa were clearly happy about these weapons, because they knew that it wouldn't be weak weapons.
As for Arin...
'Two more rewards left,' he thought. 'Though, I'm more excited about the third reward.'
He already knew what the rewards would be, after all, it was these same rewards Alex, Tessa, and the other two received after winning the tournament.
It was actually four rewards. The first reward was the opportunity of dining with the Royal Family, but Arin wasn't really counting that as a reward.
What did they really gain from that?
Yes, they ate food prepared by the best chefs, but apart from that, what else could they do with that reward?
Ah, yes, maybe brag to their friends that they've dined with the Royal Family. But that's all.
"Apart from that, there's still something else," Clara said, making three of them look at her.
She opened her right palm, displaying three silver coloured rings.
"Storage rings..." Ron muttered.
"Yes," Clara said with a smile.
They took one each and wore them.
"It's quite spacious," Clara said. "You can check it later."
She was talking fast, and her actions were making it obvious that she was in a haste.
'She's still busy with the experiment,' Arin thought, remembering that about two months from now, she would finally be able to turn Water Element Spells to Ice.
"And lastly..." Clara said.
"Oh, there's still more?" Ron blurted out, unable to control his mouth.
"Yes, this is the last one," Clara said.
Three items suddenly appeared on her hand from the storage ring she was wearing.
The three items were covered with a green cloth that seemed to be sewn around them, making it impossible to see what the items really were.
Though, they were quite small in size.
"I won't tell you what they are," Clara said as she handed one each to three of them.
Her eyes instantly sharpened. "But just know that they're very valuable... Very valuable."
She smiled lightly. "So, store them in your storage ring for now, and when you're finally alone, you can unwrap it and imbue your Mana into it, then you'll discover what it is and what it's used for."
Ron and Tessa were now even more curious and couldn't wait to return back to the Academy, but Arin already knew what it was.
'Perfect... I'm glad Alex didn't get this,' Arin thought.
If Alex had participated in the tournament, he would have gotten this, but now that he didn't get it, this just made Arin one step closer to reaching Alex's level of strength.
"Alright, that's all," Clara said. "I'm in a bit of a hurry, so my sisters will walk you to the entrance. Please, forgive my abrupt exit, and I hope you continue to do amazing things for this Kingdom," Clara said as she raised her gown a bit and gave a slight bow before walking out of the room.
Arin put both the weapon and the item inside his inventory, though, the others thought he put it in his storage ring.
"Please, come with us," Flora said as she and Elena got up. "We will walk you to the entrance."
The trio nodded and stood up, following the two princesses out.
As Arin walked, his mind drifted to what Liora said.
'If that happens now, I already have a plan... And that'll be the turning point for me...'
