The Extra Seeks Chaos-Chapter 212: Royal Family
'W... What the hell...!?'
Immediately they entered, the immense pressure of Royalty hit them like a harsh wind, making them widen their eyes.
Instantly, they felt numerous eyes on them.
Ron was already shivering slightly. 'This Aura...'
It wasn't like they were that weak compared to the individuals inside the room. It was just the royal aura they were emanating.
It was very clear that they were currently in the presence of royalty.
It was a feeling that couldn't be described.
The three of them walked further into the room.
There was a large dining table and chairs that were just as luxurious as the other things in the castle.
There was a rich scent in the room, or maybe it was just the scent of royalty.
But this scent was relaxing and also made them tense at the same time.
There were fifteen individuals seated on the chairs around the dining table.
The first individual was Rowan, the King.
He had arrived a few minutes before them.
Instantly, Arin, Tessa and Ron lowered their heads.
"I greet the Royal Family," they all said in unison.
"Raise your heads," Rowan said.
Immediately they did that, he continued.
"Have a seat."
They obeyed, and sat down on the vacant chairs. Now, no more chairs were vacant.
Arin's eyes discreetly scanned the other individuals in the dining room.
The King's five children were present, and nine other family members like cousins and uncles were also present.
Then counting the three of them, they were eighteen in total.
AHEM!
Rowan cleared his throat before he began.
"Once again, congratulations on winning the tournament. For that, you have been given the opportunity to join the Royal Family in this meal today."
He glanced at everyone before he continued. "The best chefs in this Kingdom prepared the food, so expect to receive the wonderful taste and smell when the food arrives."
"Thank you, my King," they all said.
'This isn't the main reward,' Arin thought.
Suddenly, the door opened and five chefs walked in, carrying golden coloured trays with plates of food.
They bowed and began dropping the food on the large table.
Just like the King said, the scent instantly wafted to their noses.
"Amazing..." Ron muttered, his eyes never leaving the trays.
If not for the fact that they were in the presence of royalty, he would have certainly attacked the food like a hungry Beast by now.
Finally, the chefs left, and Rowan clapped his hands.
"Alright, everyone! Let's dig in!"
"Yes, my King."
This time, it was all of them in the room who said this.
As they began eating, Arin, Tessa and Ron could feel the destructive eyes of some of the members of the Royal Family in the room, staring at them.
What those members didn't know was that their stare was doing nothing to the three of them.
Arin just couldn't be bothered enough. He just ignored the stares.
Tessa felt the stares, and she also ignored them, though she felt like a particular girl was staring at her with more intensity than the others.
As for Ron... This guy wasn't even bothered in the slightest. He just kept eating as if his life depended on it.
He was too focused on the food to care about a few stares.
Arin squinted his eyes. 'Hmm, this tastes like chicken from Earth.'
Of course, there were still chickens in this world, but he couldn't help but remember some food from Earth.
'Ah, I miss pizza...'
CLANK! CLANK!
Only the sound of knives and forks hitting the plates could be heard in the dining room.
But then...
CLANK!
A certain someone hit her knife on her plate a little bit harder, making all of them look at her.
"Father, I still don't understand why Alex isn't here," she said, though she wasn't looking at Rowan.
Even though her words were directed at him, she didn't even look at him. She just kept staring at her food.
It was a sign of respect.
"Elena, we've talked about this," Rowan said, his gaze still fixated on his food as he continued eating.
This time, Elena couldn't hold it back anymore.
She gritted her teeth as she raised her head. Her blonde hair swayed lightly as she stared at her father.
"But fa-"
"Enough!" Rowan said, his voice so firm that everyone instantly stopped eating.
He glared at Elena as if telling her that he didn't want to hear a single word from her mouth.
Suddenly, a boy with black hair chuckled.
His hair was long, reaching his waist. He had a small smirk on his face as he stared at his food.
While eating, he spoke.
"You've heard father, Elena. So you better shut up."
He spoke as if he wanted to let Elena know what the King's glare meant.
Elena gripped her knife in anger, but she was unable to do anything, after all, he was her elder brother.
This time, she looked at a bald man who had black beards.
This man was the first son of the King, and also the first child.
Elena looked at him because she knew that he would support her, after all, she was the last child, and he had spoiled her a lot because of that.
"Father," the man began, his voice soft despite how fierce he looked. "At least, you can give her a proper explanation later. You know the relationship she and Alex have, so her anger is quite justified."
The man spoke calmly as he stared at Rowan.
"I understand, maybe I'll set up a meeting with Alex later," Rowan said.
Arin noticed that Rowan's voice became calmer when speaking to his first son, and the man also stared at Rowan straight in the eyes when speaking.
'I guess he's the only one who can speak to the King while looking at him straight in the eyes,' Arin thought.
"Alright, I guess that's enough discussion about Alex for now," another man said.
"Elena, you'll get to see your husband later," he added as he flashed a grin at Elena.
Elena pouted. "Hmph, stop teasing me, uncle!"
The atmosphere in the dining room had significantly become calm after the King's brother's slight joke.
They kept discussing a few casual things like how the tournament went, and this gave Arin, Tessa and Ron the chance to speak.
Finally, they all finished eating.
Rowan stood up, and instantly, the others in the room also stood up.

His eyes landed on the trio before speaking.
"I have an urgent meeting, so I won't be able to show the three of you the reward, but my three daughters will take you to where the reward is.
"Understood, my King."
With that, Rowan left the room, followed by the other members of the Royal Family.
Arin could swear that the royal pressure in the room increased for a second as all of them left.
Now, only seven individuals were in the room.
The three of them who won the tournament, the three daughters of the King who would show them the reward, and...
"Alright, let's go!" The black haired boy said, his long hair fluttering lightly.
"If you want to remain alive, do not come with us, Landon," a soft, calm, almost ethereal voice found its way into Arin's ears as he stared at the girl who just spoke.
It was a girl who had blonde hair just like Elena.
She didn't even wait for Landon's reply before she began walking out of the dining room, together with the other two girls.
"Come with me," she said before stepping out of the room.
It was obvious that what she said was directed at the three of them, so they instantly walked out of the room and began following her.
Now, they were standing behind her while the two other daughters of the King were standing behind them.
'Now I know where that death stare is coming from,' Tessa thought as she squinted her eyes.
She could feel Elena staring daggers at her from behind.
'It must be because of that fucking bastard...' she thought.
Finally, they reached another hallway, and a door was at the end of the hallway.
But...
"Good to see you again, sis," Landon said.
He was standing in front of the door with folded arms and a smirk, his long hair swaying.
'He must have passed another route,' Arin thought, because on their way here, he saw different doors that seemed to lead to different hallways.
The princess didn't even reduce her walking pace even a bit. She continued walking forward, her blue eyes sharp.
Arin smiled. 'As expected...'
He knew her from the novel, and knew the kind of character she had.
Her name was Clara Ainsley, and she was the second child of the King, and also the first female child.
And above all, she was the one who made the discovery that Water Element Spells could be turned into Ice.
Finally, she got closer to Landon, her steps getting faster.
"Woah, woah, calm down, si-"
Before he could finish talking...
WHOOSH!
A Water Spike instantly formed on her hand, and she lunged at Landon, pressing the spike against his throat.
Her blue eyes flickered as she whispered in a chilly tone.
"Get out, Landon."
She leaned closer to him, pressing the spike further.
"Disobey me one more time, and I will kill you before you even realize it..."
"Is that clear...?"
A small smirk formed on Arin's face.
'Just like her character was described.... Fierce.'
'Ah, for some reason, she reminds me of Riya...'
