The Billionaire Twins Need A New Mommy!-Chapter 794: Tell Me We Didn’t Do That
"The Cardinal has been preparing for a long time. I managed to sneak in and investigate... and I believe he planted bombs throughout the monastery — in case all else fails."
Scarlet clenched her teeth and sprinted away, repeatedly tapping her earpiece in an attempt to reach anyone.
"Anyone!" she shouted through gritted teeth. "Come on — answer me!"
"That psycho of a cardinal is going to bury everyone here alive with him!" she growled. But no one responded. She quickened her pace, blaming the poor connection on Vito’s insistence that they all stay close together.
That bastard!

Meanwhile, the Reverend Mother watched Scarlet run off after asking for the bomb locations. She wasn’t certain whether they could do anything about it, but she hoped they would manage somehow.
"Although... I wish they would simply leave and save themselves," she whispered, releasing a shallow breath. "And let the cardinal... and all of us take responsibility for all of this."
Slowly, she lifted her gaze to the old buildings that had stood for over a hundred years. Sadness flickered in her eyes before she looked away.
The Reverend Mother closed her eyes and inhaled deeply, catching the faint scent of gunpowder lingering in the air.
"Father," she murmured, clasping her hands together in prayer, "may You forgive the cardinal for all he has done."

Inside the monastery’s dormitory...
"That bastard..." Haji’s face twitched as Vito’s voice echoed through the speakers. "He just won’t shut up, will he? Did he really have to make it this big?"
Their situation was already serious enough. Vito didn’t need to make it sound like a grand celebration.
"I hope Farah finds him and kills him right away!" he spat, as if Vito weren’t currently on their side. "Also, what the heck? This dormitory is empty! I don’t think the Reverend Mother is here at all! Maybe she’s in the chapel, praying?"
Yuri closed the door behind them and sighed, shooting him a look.
"And that doesn’t strike you as suspicious?" she asked. "This place is huge, yet there isn’t a single soul here."
"This place is huge," he replied, resting his hands on his hips. "If everyone gathered somewhere else, I wouldn’t be surprised if it’s empty."
"And yet, there’s no movement outside," Yuri remarked as she approached a hallway window and looked out. "Not a single person."
"I think we’re looking in the wrong place — ah!"
Both Haji and Yuri winced as their earpieces screeched with feedback.
"What the hell—"
"Hey!!" Scarlet’s voice suddenly blasted into their ears. "Can someone hear me now?!"
"Yeah!" Haji shouted back, his eardrums still ringing. "Hey, girl, why are you yelling? Damn, my ears almost bled—"
"Bad news!" Scarlet cut him off. "The cardinal planted massive bombs inside the premises. If all else fails, he’s going to detonate them and kill everyone!"
Haji gasped. "Shit..."
"Where are they?" Yuri pressed her earpiece. "We’ll check."
"Huh?" Haji scrunched his nose, but Scarlet quickly gave them the locations.
"I’ll check the other site," she added between heavy breaths. "If you manage to contact the others, inform them. There are three major bombs. The largest one is where the meeting is taking place."
"Got it." Yuri turned to Haji. "Let’s go."
Haji opened and closed his mouth but followed her anyway, cursing under his breath as they hurried toward the nearest location Scarlet had mentioned. Since they were already close to one of the major sites, they headed there first.
Scarlet had provided specific details — apparently, the Reverend Mother Haji and Yuri had been searching for earlier was with Scarlet. Talk about luck. Haji and Yuri certainly didn’t have any tonight.
When they reached a hidden room in the underground cellar, both of them froze.
Their eyes widened, and their mouths fell open.
"My God..." Haji breathed, disbelief written all over his face. "And these are just the smaller ones?"
Even Yuri swallowed hard at the sight before them.
The underground chamber was filled with large crates of advanced explosives. These weren’t crude, improvised bombs. They were powerful enough to obliterate the entire building.
"I’ve never seen anything like this," Haji muttered, flinching when Yuri walked past him. "Hey, don’t go in there. It’s dangerous!"
Yuri paused and looked back. "They won’t detonate unless we tamper with them," she said calmly as she approached one of the crates. The timer on it still read zero.
She examined it closely while Haji nervously scanned the rest of the room.
"You sure it’s safe?" he asked as he cautiously moved closer. "Do you even know how to disarm these things?"
"Not an expert, but I can analyze them," she replied. "I’ve seen various improvised and advanced explosives in the Order. Even the nuclear weapon they’ve been developing in the lab."
"A nuclear what?"
Yuri shot him a side-eye. "You’ve been in the Order, and you didn’t know we possess a nuclear weapon?"
His face twitched in disbelief. He probably should have known, but hearing it out loud still shocked him.
"It was already developed before Atlas took over," she continued, circling the crate. "If things don’t go his way, I wouldn’t be surprised if he used it to wipe this place off the map."
"Ah?" Haji stiffened. "You’re saying he’d deploy that with us still inside?"
"Mhm."
He blinked repeatedly until the implication sank in.
"What?!"
"Stop shouting." Yuri lowered herself to inspect the crate, but he grabbed her wrist before she could touch it.
"Hey!"
"What?" she asked. "I’m just going to check."
Haji ruffled his hair in frustration. "I’ll do it. Move aside. Just tell me what we’re looking for."
"..." Yuri blinked, then stepped aside, allowing him to take over — even though he looked far more panicked than she did.
"Which part?" he asked, bending closer. She pointed to the lid.
"Damn it..." Haji muttered, trying to steady his breathing. Summoning every ounce of courage, he reached out.
The moment his fingers touched the surface, tension flooded his body. His fingertips trembled as he carefully hooked onto the edge and slowly pried the lid open, revealing the wiring inside.
"Hmm." Yuri leaned in. "Interesting."
But the instant those words left her mouth, a sharp beep pierced the air.
Both of them flinched and straightened abruptly, their gazes snapping to the timer on top of the crate — and the others around them.
Every single one had changed from zero... to ten minutes.
Haji slowly exhaled.
"Tell me we didn’t do that."
