Talentless Extra Of The Legendary Hero Academy-Chapter 156: Prisoners
Chapter 156: Prisoners frёewebnoѵel.ƈo๓
Miret blinked slowly. "How is this Zenith Hero Academy’s business? Are you guys not on holiday again? They’re free to do whatever they want."
Darius gritted his teeth. He was close, very close to getting his hands on Severin, and he wouldn’t let anything get in his way, including the Isolde Dusk.
He shook his head. "Until they leave the Academy’s premises, they are the Academy’s business. Besides, Severin Reignhart and his team are under investigation."
Miret smiled. "So they are. Including our Isolde Dusk, we are investigating them. And we will be taking them into the prison. That doesn’t disturb your investigation, does it?"
Darius’s eyes widened and then narrowed. "You want to take one of our students into custody? For what reason? Even Isolde Dusk has to wait until someone is convicted before they are allowed to take them.
"What are you planning to do, Miret?"
Miret shook his head slowly and then pointed at Severin. "He has compromised the safety of our prison. We will take him. That’s it. If you wish to fight us about it, then you can go on."
Darius clenched his fists and jaws as he watched. Things had been flipped over in the most disturbing way. How did the brat even pull this off? At first, he distracted them with the Head Librarian and all of that so that his involvement with the Isolde Dusk wouldn’t be seen.
And importantly... ’how did he pull that one off? The one where he appeared with that mask on.’ Darius could swear that it was indeed Severin that he captured. So how? Was it a new power he got from Sector Delta?
Darius took a deep breath. He shrugged. "Of course the Academy won’t fight the Isolde Dusk. But you must give us time to process the paperwork and speak with the Headmaster..."
Miret interrupted. "No. You can send the paperwork over if you want. Besides, it’s not needed. The kid has already agreed that he wanted to spend the holidays with us in Isolde Dusk. Therefore, there’s nothing to concern yourself about.
"It’s his holiday. He could do as he wanted."
Darius took more deep breaths to calm his nerves and his eyes surveyed the room.
Everyone was watching their conversation with surprised and shocked expressions. It was obvious that they didn’t expect what was happening, and Darius wanted to use that.
If he couldn’t get Severin, then he would detain some of his team members, those with weak families. As ’guarantees,’ because he had a feeling that he shouldn’t let Severin escape his hold this time or he might come to regret it bitterly.
"Then you can take him. But you can’t take his team," Darius shrugged. "He’s the only one that compromised your security, right? You can have him then."
Severin finally spoke. He had let them go at each other earlier because they are both strong, and it was better for them to reach a compromise first. He stood up and scratched his head. "Eh... I’ve already told all of them what compromised the security. I’m afraid Isolde Dusk will have to take all of us."
Wait... what?
Julius adjusted his glasses as he turned to Severin in shock. He searched his memories, but he couldn’t remember where he was told of anything about Isolde Dusk.
Same thing goes for all the others as they watched Severin. Just what exactly is their leader playing at again?
Then they remembered, Severin promised them something about having the best place for holiday training. Surely he couldn’t have meant the Isolde Dusk. A prison for infamous Etherion users, right?
Right?
But Miret, standing there, dispelled their confidence, and they knew what Severin planned for them.
Darius glared at the room. "Is this true? You all know about... this?"
Almost as one, they all nodded.
Darius’s eyes turned icy flat. If this had happened a few days before, then he could have changed things. But as it was now, the students are technically on holiday, and he couldn’t force them to go against their wish of where they want to spend their holiday.
And since he had no justified reasons to hold them back, especially the one where Severin was under investigation, he then had no choice but to let them go.
Darius looked around the room one more time and his eyes hardened. Then he turned to go. "I will leave first."
And with that, he turned to go.
Severin had once again won another round.
But it came with a high cost. As Severin watched Darius retreat, he knew he needed to kill the man as soon as possible. He threatened his survival, so he had to go. And the branch of Obsidian Bleed.
Severin felt an ache in his head. Things had gotten more easy and complicated at the same time.
Easier because he now knew most of his enemies, and complicated because so much was still hidden in the dark. So much that still needed to be untangled.
He looked at Miret, who was looking back at him. The man’s eyes were like a dead man’s eyes. They were cold, showing more white than anything else. There was no life in them.
And if not that Severin was looking at him, he would have thought there was no one in front of him.
"Severin Reignhart. The Isolde Dusk is ready to receive you and your team." Miret looked away and turned to Ardent. He pointed. "We won’t be taking him along."
Ardent raised his brows. "What? Don’t tell me I’m going to compromise your prison too."
"You are," Miret replied flatly. "Your kind of power is difficult to deal with, and we have heard of your deeds in the battlefield. Unless you would be coming along as a real prisoner, then you won’t be going."
Severin was troubled by the news because he had already planned things for the mad Instructor. He had already included him in his plan for the future.
Severin took a deep breath himself.
His plan. The holiday isn’t just about building his powers and getting stronger. It’s also about striking at his enemies.
