Chapter 78: Chapter 78: Fever

"Don’t act so distant with me, are we not good friends after all!" Heath dragged out the word "good friends" intentionally and couldn’t help but laugh a little. They were boyfriend and girlfriend for a few seconds, and now they’re good friends.

"I really don’t need you to accompany me." Moira Young was still stuck in the mood from her meeting with Julian Sinclair, her tone wasn’t very good. She wanted to return to the dormitory quickly for some quiet.

Heath was stunned for a moment hearing her tone, the air felt a little awkward.

"Oh right, I have something to give you before you get out." Heath clapped his hands, suddenly remembering something.

Moira Young turned her face toward him.

"Ta-da!" Heath grinned broadly, pulling out a medal from somewhere and holding it in front of Moira Young, "For you!"

"Heath, you worked hard for this achievement yourself, keep it well, I don’t want it." Moira Young seriously told him, remembering about the previous medal, "And about the last one, I will return it to you, keep it stored properly."

"If there’s nothing else, I’ll get off the car now, I’m a bit tired." Moira Young did not give Heath any chance to respond, got out of the car directly, closed the door, and entered the dormitory gate.

Heath stood there in shock; the smile he wore gradually faded, as he tightly clutched the medal in his hand, watching Moira Young’s determined back. He sighed lightly.

When Moira Young returned to the dormitory, all three roommates were there, but fortunately, it wasn’t noisy, nobody was talking to anybody.

She breathed a sigh of relief, just as she was about to sit down, Thea Thorne’s sarcastic voice echoed.

"Oh, back from a date? Who did you meet today?" Her contemptuous gaze and frivolous tone clearly showed her disdain for Moira Young.

Moira Young didn’t want to bother with her at all, poured herself a cup of hot water, and prepared to study.

"We are all roommates, how about sharing some of that experience with us? You know, the kind between men and women—" Thea Thorne feigned innocence, pretending to be inquiringly.

Lisa Webb and Paige Quinn secretly glanced back.

"Thea, you’ve clearly met Adrian Grant, why speak like this?" Moira Young couldn’t understand, two years ago in the hospital Adrian Grant and Thea Thorne definitely met, so why is Thea now pretending not to know him?

Thea Thorne gave her a side-eye, "How would I know that back then you weren’t already being kept."

"Right, let me give you some information." Thea Thorne shot Adrian Grant a mischievous look; she’s always vindictive, planning revenge for Lisa Webb framing her for stealing Moira Young’s necklace.

Moira Young covered her ears, Thea’s words were certainly no good, and the news must be bad, Thea never wanted her well.

"Hey, do you want to know who took your photos, or who posted them?" Thea Thorne moved her chair closer, seeing Moira Young ignoring her, she deliberately poked Moira’s arm with a pen.

Moira Young felt pain from the poke and moved aside, indicating she didn’t want to know.

"I’ll tell you, don’t be surprised, it’s her—" Thea Thorne pointed with the pen towards Lisa Webb.

Moira Young turned her head, and at this moment, Lisa Webb slowly turned as well, seeing Thea pointing at her, her expression changed drastically, her face turned pale immediately, as she called out, "It wasn’t me!"

"Dare to show us your phone? Even if deleted, there would definitely be traces." Thea Thorne felt her revenge was achieved, crossed her legs while leaning on the table, wearing a gleeful face, "Look at your demure village girl appearance, thought being honest, turns out you’re full of schemes."

"Moira Young, it’s really not me, please believe me! I also didn’t do it intentionally with the necklace, I’m truly sorry! But the photos weren’t taken by me!" Lisa Webb looked hesitantly at Thea, feeling aggrieved, "Thea, you’ve always been against Moira Young, and now hate her even more for snatching your boyfriend, while I don’t know who took the photos, if anyone should be suspected first, it should be you..."

"Are you trying to shed suspicion by framing me?"

Thea Thorne didn’t expect Lisa Webb to be so eloquent, truly underestimated her, "Stop babbling so much, take out the phone, one look reveals everything, what’s the point of talking this nonsense?"

Lisa Webb wanted to say something, but Moira Young interrupted, "I don’t care who took the photos, stop arguing, it’s not important, I don’t mind it."

Thea Thorne became furious, frowning and her tone turning nasty, "Moira Young, I kindly reminded you, how come this attitude? What’s not important? What does it mean you don’t care? Who are you acting all high and mighty, showing you don’t mind anything?"

Moira Young didn’t expect her words to make Thea extremely agitated, she felt helpless, clearly having done nothing, yet someone always stands out to say this or that.

She’s genuinely tired, didn’t want this pointless debate, so she simply went into the bathroom to shower.

The most peaceful moment of her day was when she shut herself in the bathroom to shower; the sound of water exceeded all dormitory noise, and only then could she truly achieve complete calm.

Moira Young adjusted the temperature to just right, let her whole body be beneath the water, closed her eyes, and suddenly Julian Sinclair’s cold face appeared.

She panicked, eyes snapping open, not daring to close them again.

Even washing her hair, she kept her eyes open, despite them stinging and tearing, she wouldn’t close them.

Right before the hair was clean, suddenly the water stopped!

Moira Young initially thought she accidentally touched the switch, tried turning it back on, but still no water, in desperation, she used cold water for the fastest shower, washed and dried as quickly as possible.

Even though she dressed quickly, her nose turned red due to the cold water’s chill.

Moira Young left the bathroom, just about to kindly remind everyone the water stopped, then saw Thea Thorne’s smug face, she suddenly realized, went over to look at the bathroom’s main valve, it was shut off.

"Did you enjoy the cold shower?" Thea Thorne deliberately walked past her, then opened the main valve in front of her, "Unlike you, if I shower with cold water, my family would feel sorry for me."

Moira Young looked at her expressionlessly, just looked, saying nothing.

After a while, until Thea Thorne was overwhelmed by the stare, Moira Young finally relented.

She climbed into bed, covered up tightly, but soon felt uncomfortable, kept sneezing, and her mind felt fuzzy. Without a hairdryer, her hair coldly clung to her neck, making her very uncomfortable.

Moira Young thought she would endure it, but when everyone else went to bed to sleep, nearing 1 a.m., she felt increasingly unwell.

Suddenly recalled there is a 24-hour self-service pharmacy near the school, just outside the gate. Moira Young thought she still had work tomorrow, couldn’t delay due to her illness, so she dragged her heavy body off the bed, casually threw on a jacket and left the dormitory.

At this hour, not a single person was on campus. Though the street lights were everywhere, Moira Young was still frightened, her body slightly trembling, looking around every few steps, afraid something might suddenly leap out.

Fortunately, the campus was relatively safe, she reached the school gate, told the guard she was going to buy medicine, and he let her through, reminding her to be careful and return quickly after buying.

Moira Young arrived at the self-service pharmacy, spent a long time studying it. Her mind perhaps muddled with illness, she fiddled for over ten minutes before seeing the "Paused for use" sign.

"If needed, please walk to the pharmacy a kilometer away." Moira Young dumbfoundedly read these words aloud, feeling stunned.

A kilometer away, she seemed to remember that pharmacy but not clearly.

Since she’s already outside, she’d go; Moira Young followed the main road based on memory, praying the store was definitely open 24 hours, definitely not closed, or she’d go crazy running out at this hour unable to buy medicine!
