Chapter 292: Chapter 292: It’s Blood

He glanced at Moira Young in the room, supposedly going to study her script, but she picked up an iPad and started watching soap operas. She wasn’t studying her script at all.

He stood up and strode towards the room. Just as he was about to step inside, Moira caught a glimpse of his movements out of the corner of her eye and quickly rushed to the doorway.

All he heard was a "bang" as the door slammed shut.

Julian Sinclair, who hadn’t had time to enter, stood outside in silence for a while before he finally returned to the sofa.

Mrs. Miller, who had just finished tidying up the kitchen and came out, saw this scene and felt more strongly that something was wrong.

Logically speaking, even though Moira Young had a bit of a princess temper, whenever the young master coaxed her, she’d always be fine.

This time the situation seemed severe, it appeared more complicated than what Joe had described.

"Young master, what exactly did you do to upset Miss?" Mrs. Miller was curious, never having seen Julian Sinclair in such a pleasing manner.

"It’s nothing." Julian Sinclair’s eyes flickered slightly, showing no intention of explaining.

Since Julian Sinclair didn’t want to speak, Mrs. Miller didn’t dare to ask more, and could only retreat silently.

The next day.

Moira Young went to the filming set.

Julian Sinclair, at one point, even took over Joe’s job as her assistant. He fanned her when it was hot and brought her water when she was thirsty, instantly transforming into a loyal dog with none of his CEO demeanor.

Many from the film crew who previously believed Moira Young had been dumped by Julian Sinclair now saw his doting behavior towards her, and none dared have that thought again.

Anna watched their interaction with growing envy in her eyes.

She had thought she had a chance, but before she could even make a move, it was all over. How frustrating.

"Look at Moira Young, so ungrateful. President Sinclair is being so humble towards her, yet she still dares to put on such a sour face. Does she really think she’s so beautiful that President Sinclair can’t do without her?"

Joy, an extra in the cast, gawked, her teeth chattering with anger. Such an outstanding man circling around Moira Young, and she still won’t appreciate it? That’s just too much.

Joyce, another extra, ridiculed, "I don’t know if President Sinclair can’t do without her, but by looks alone, you’ll never catch up to her beauty, no matter how many surgeries you have."

"You!!"

"What about me? Instead of being envious here, why not spend more time reading, so you don’t make a fool of yourself when you go out." Joyce had long been annoyed by Joy’s attitude, and couldn’t help but retort.

Just as Joy was about to argue back, a cold voice interrupted: "Shut up if you don’t want to be kicked out."

She turned and saw Aiden Webb standing in front of her, his face cold. Terrified, her complexion turned pale, and her voice trembled: "Professor Webb, what are you doing here?"

Aiden Webb didn’t respond to her, but instead walked directly towards where Moira Young was.

Joyce gleefully smirked, "I told you not to be envious, but you didn’t listen. Now you’re being scolded, right?"

"Mind your own business?" Joy glared venomously at Joyce.

Aiden Webb placed a cup of ginger tea in front of Moira Young, right in front of Julian Sinclair, and said in a still cold but gentle voice, "I noticed you were coughing a bit. This is hot ginger tea, drink it while it’s hot."

"Thank you, senior," Moira Young smiled at Aiden Webb, her smile as bright and cheerful as the midsummer sun.

"What are you planning to eat for lunch?" Aiden Webb, ignoring Julian Sinclair’s dark as night expression, continued to chat with Moira Young.

And Moira Young, seemingly oblivious to Julian Sinclair’s presence, pondered while touching her chin, "I haven’t decided yet." 𝒇𝒓𝒆𝒆𝙬𝒆𝒃𝓷𝒐𝓿𝙚𝙡.𝒄𝓸𝒎

Aiden Webb slightly curled his thin lips and extended an invitation, "How about having some crayfish together?"

"Sure," Moira Young agreed without a second thought, "But the lunch break might not be long enough, right?"

"No worries, as long as we finish filming the morning scenes quickly, there’ll be plenty of time."

"Alright!"

The two happily planned their lunch without considering Julian Sinclair’s feelings.

Filming finally began in the morning, with Moira Young and Aiden Webb chatting and laughing as if nothing had happened, the shooting progressing quickly, with most scenes done in one take.

In contrast, others weren’t as relaxed.

From the director and actors to the crew and extras, all had their heads down, not daring to speak loudly, fearing to provoke the boss.

Julian Sinclair, infuriated by Moira Young and Aiden Webb, couldn’t get angry at Moira, nor take advantage in arguments with Aiden Webb, so he could only sourly glare at others.

As soon as anyone made a slight mistake, he would immediately fire them.

By that stance alone, who dared to make mistakes? They even thought over their words several times, afraid one misspeak would get them fired.

"Alright! Everyone, focus, this is the last scene this morning. Once we’re done, we’ll break for lunch." The director clapped his hands, signaling everyone to concentrate. The morning was nearly over, and everyone was eager for relief!

Despite their excitement, no one dared to express it.

The last scene was a rain scene, luckily it was summer, and the hot weather made filming rain scenes not such a big deal. Furthermore, Moira Young had ginger tea beforehand, so she wasn’t worried.

"Ready!" With the director’s command, everyone took their positions.

"Action."

In the pouring rain, the lipstick Moira Young had just applied started to smudge, her lips appearing pale as she stood in the rain, sobbing bitterly, truly a sight to bring tears to those who saw it.

Just as she was about to speak her lines, a scream pierced her eardrums: "Ah!!!!"

The scream startled her, and before she could react, she was tightly embraced in a warm hug.

"Uncle." When she turned around, she met Julian Sinclair’s narrowed cold eyes, her mind going blank.

She had no idea what had happened, only hearing the sound of something heavy hitting the ground alongside Julian Sinclair’s muffled groan.

Before she could react, others crowded around.

The director’s angry voice rang out, "What happened! Why did the camera suddenly fall!" "I-I-I don’t know." The cameraman, already frightened, was even more flustered when Moira Young questioned him, stammering as he spoke.

"President Sinclair, are you okay?" The assistant director nervously eyed Julian Sinclair, fearing he might be injured.

Moira Young’s pupils contracted. As she stepped out from Julian Sinclair’s arms, she saw the shattered camera behind him.

The fear surged inside her, "Uncle, are you alright?" The girl’s voice trembled, her eyes red, "Call for an ambulance!"

"Y-yes..." Only then did those around snap to attention, hastily starting to call for help.

Moira Young held the speechless Julian Sinclair, suddenly feeling a warmth envelop the arms around him, seeing nothing but a glaring red.

Tears finally couldn’t be held back any longer, rolling down, "Uncle, don’t scare me. It’ll be okay, hold on, alright..."
