Sweet Wife So Charming: CEO: Hold Back Your Heart-Chapter 16: Leaving Home
Julian Sinclair’s delicate brows furrowed, his deep voice carrying a magnetic quality, interspersed with a hint of anger: "Have you said enough?"
"For her, and for you, don’t give her hope."
Adrian Grant got straight to the point, clear-headed while others were confused, and what he could see clearly, Julian Sinclair might not.
Julian Sinclair’s cold eyes were like millennia-old ice, radiating a chilling light that made Adrian Grant somewhat fearful when he was angry.
Time ticked by, and Moira Young and Sylvia Lopez had yet to return.
"Go see what’s going on," Adrian Grant instructed, but just as the waiter was about to leave, Moira Young returned.
She held her stomach, her face somewhat pale, cold sweat beading on her forehead, and Julian Sinclair’s already furrowed brows were tighter still.
"Uncle, I..." Moira Young hesitated to speak, she couldn’t very well say in front of them that her period had arrived...
"Sylvia went to buy me something and hasn’t come back for a long time, and now it’s suddenly raining outside, I’m afraid something’s happened to her..." Moira Young had discovered in the bathroom that her period had started, but she hadn’t brought anything with her, so Sylvia Lopez offered to go buy some, but hadn’t yet returned. 𝑓𝓇𝘦ℯ𝘸𝘦𝑏𝓃𝑜𝘷ℯ𝑙.𝑐𝑜𝓂
"Buying what?" Adrian Grant still hadn’t caught on.
"What’s it to you?" Julian Sinclair said coldly.
"I’m back, Moira, come quickly—" Sylvia Lopez suddenly appeared, completely soaked, the hem of her little black dress muddied, yet she seemed not to mind at all.
Moira Young hadn’t expected Sylvia to end up like this for her, recalling her initial attitude towards her, she suddenly felt somewhat guilty.
Sylvia Lopez was shivering from head to toe as she entered the air-conditioned room, drenched from the rain.
Julian Sinclair without hesitation draped his coat over Sylvia Lopez’s shoulders, and in that moment, Sylvia felt a wave of warmth, as if sunlight had appeared in an icy cellar, drawing her gaze and making her reluctant to leave.
"It seems we won’t be able to have that meal, I’ll take Sylvia home, lest she catch cold." Adrian Grant knew things needed to be taken step by step, not rushed.
"Let Sylvia come to our home, it’s closer," Moira Young mustered her courage to speak.
Earlier in the bathroom, Sylvia Lopez had told her that Uncle was a man, and looking at it from a male and female perspective, he needed a woman, unrelated to feelings.
Moira Young pondered the meaning of those words for a long time, realizing that her uncle needed a woman other than herself to do things she could not.
After returning home, Moira Young felt somewhat worn out from running around all day, so she went to take a shower.
She suddenly remembered that Sylvia Lopez’s little black dress was soaked through, and she wouldn’t have clothes to wear after bathing, so she went to the wardrobe to pick out a loose outfit to bring to Sylvia.
"Sylvia?" Moira Young went to the guest room, finding the door open, but upon entering, saw no one.
Strange, where could she have gone?
She checked all the rooms with the clothes in hand but found no one.
"Hmm—"
An odd moan, barely audible, reached Moira Young’s ears, she froze in place with the clothes in her arms.
"Mmm...ah..." A woman’s soft, indulgent moan.
Moira Young clenched her fists tightly, taking difficult steps forward toward the left where the sound came from Julian Sinclair’s bedroom.
"Ah..."
With every sound Sylvia Lopez made, Moira Young’s heart felt like it was being pierced again and again, every step she took was excruciatingly painful.
She reached the door, finding it slightly ajar, Moira Young held her breath, cautiously approached slowly, peering inside through the small gap.
In the blur, she saw Sylvia Lopez atop Julian Sinclair, moving her body continuously, instantly her cheeks flushed, the clothes in her hands slipped, and she stood there, panic-stricken, unable to move, having seen what she should not have.
Her nose tinged with bitterness, she pursed her lips, and suddenly, she felt like crying.
In a daze, Moira Young seemed to meet Sylvia Lopez’s eyes, startled, she quickly turned to leave, but stumbled and fell, crashing into the door and tumbling inside!
Julian Sinclair seemed to be waiting for this moment, Sylvia Lopez awkwardly tried to cover herself, but was dominated by Julian Sinclair.
"Carry on." His commanding tone left Sylvia Lopez with no choice but to continue.
Moira Young lay on the floor, the agony in her heart silently swelling, every cell in her body began to change, she lowered her head, gritting her teeth, summoned all her strength to stand up.
Then she turned and left.
She had always believed that Uncle was hers, only now did she realize how naive she had been.
Does having another woman mean he won’t want her anymore?
Moira Young ran out crying, without even taking an umbrella.
The rain fell harder, and though she didn’t know where she was headed, it was better to leave rather than wait for Julian Sinclair to say he didn’t want her.
