Supreme Heir Son-in-law-Chapter 1123 - 1122: Harmony Brings Wealth
The old man nodded and invited the people into the exhibition hall, where a group of subdued fellows stood up together, bowing deeply towards the old man.
The old man looked straight ahead, leading Xu Ke into the office and closing the door, while Xu Ke’s gaze remained on the old man.
This person arrived abruptly, making it difficult for him to discern his background, but he felt the man’s piercing stare. Scarred Eyebrow, standing behind the old man, glared back at him.
"Since you invited me here, I assume the old man has something to say. I have some business to attend to, and if we’re delayed any longer, I’ll miss my schedule!"
"I see, it was presumptuous of me! I merely found you congenial and wished to chat with you. Since you have urgent matters, I won’t disturb you further. However, your wife seems fatigued from the journey. As the host, I wouldn’t dare neglect her, so I’ve arranged for her to rest."
"Are you threatening me?"
"No, this is my sincerity!" The old man’s expression remained unchanged.
Xu Ke narrowed his eyes, stood slowly after a while, and turned to walk out.
"I’ll leave it to you, old man! By the way, where’s the most entertaining place for the eyes?"
"Heaven on Earth!" The old man replied casually, "I’ll be waiting for your return, Mr. Zhou!"
Xu Ke repeated the name to himself without much thought and then turned to leave the office.
He took a cab from the exhibition hall and wandered around the city for an hour and a half before arriving at the so-called Heaven on Earth.
The entire building glowed with fluorescent light, situated among skyscrapers yet standing out conspicuously. The name, unknown who coined it, had a rather unique taste.
But he couldn’t be bothered to critique it, stepping inside through the door amidst neon lights and music, a crowd of people seemingly sleepwalking in the dance floor.
He ignored them, heading straight to the elevator, pressed for the ninth floor. Upon exiting the elevator, he glanced at the corridor, finding it relatively quiet, and without lingering, strode towards the innermost private room.
He reached out and pushed open the door, the muffled noise causing his ears to ache, but amidst the chaotic music, a few women twisted their waists in the room.
On the nearby sofa, another woman was sitting with legs crossed, holding a cigarette in one hand and seductively caressing the chin of the woman beside her.
The sudden commotion startled the figures inside, a group turned their heads, seeing Xu Ke in his disheveled appearance, and immediately frowned in displeasure.
The woman with the wine glass patted the woman next to her, waved a hand to dismiss the group, lowered her crossed white leg, tossed a glance at Xu Ke, and lifted her skirt hem to reveal her white legs.
"Hey there, are you the most popular man here? Come, have a seat!"
As she spoke, the woman lowered her hand, and before it touched the sofa beside her, two cold flashes flickered through her fingers.
Flashing underneath the neon lights, they swiftly flew towards Xu Ke. Xu Ke briskly twisted his body, squeezing into the room and reaching out to snatch one flying knife from the air, while the other embedded itself into the door frame.
He kicked the door shut and stepped inside.
The woman’s gaze flickered without changing her expression, reaching up to smooth her hair at the temple, her cheek turned, revealing a deadly charming smile.
Yet the teased hair suddenly flaunted, several cold flashes darting from the back of her head.
Xu Ke had long known of this move, picking up a cigarette just to crush it, casually tossing, resulting in a series of crisp sounds, and the silver needles hit the ground within a blink.
The woman’s glimmering silver eyes shone in the dim light. She stared at Xu Ke’s eyes, momentarily stunned.
But at that moment, Xu Ke suddenly flickered, reappearing in front of the woman. Not panicking, the woman flipped over the sofa back, a dagger appearing in her hand.
Without looking, she thrust backward, as the sofa collided with a creak, sliding out.
Xu Ke slowly extended his hand, making an odd spin in mid-air, catching the woman’s wrist in his palm.
The knife slipped, but he forcefully pulled her over the chair back, simultaneously leaping onto the sofa, reaching around to encircle the falling woman’s waist. As the sofa stopped, the woman was already in his arms.
The woman immediately struggled, but the restrained arm couldn’t muster any strength, she turned her head to bite Xu Ke’s shoulder.
"Aren’t you a vegetarian? When did you start eating meat?"
"Who exactly are you?" Her eyes widened, with a twist of her heel, and a hidden blade emerged to slice towards Xu Ke’s ankle.
Xu Ke immediately shifted his feet, curling his legs to lock hers.
"You rogue, let me go or I’ll call someone!"
"You woman, full of hidden weapons. Letting you go? Who knows what you’d stab me with! I’m telling you, you should at least change your temper, otherwise, which man would dare get into bed with you? Everyone wants to settle down; if you keep this up, you’ll end up as an old maid!"
"Shut up!" The woman’s face darkened, she struggled harder, but Xu Ke felt like a set of pliers clamping her body, her efforts only leaving her flushed red.
Failing to break free, she stretched her neck to bite Xu Ke’s shoulder fiercely.
Xu Ke yelled out in pain but had no intention of letting go.
"If you keep doing this, I’ll fight back! I see you have plenty of flesh on your chest; a bite shouldn’t be a big deal!"
"Shameless!"
"Not as much as you? Don’t forget, who used to sneak into my bed at night! Knowing you’d backstab me, I should have been shameless back then!"
Xu Ke teased with a smirk.
Upon hearing this, the woman’s expression changed several times, aware that only she and that man knew such intimate matters.
"You, are you Xu Ke? No, impossible, he’s already dead!"
"Otherwise, whose bed have you crawled into?"
"You..." The woman suddenly turned her head, this time managing to break free, her eyes fixed on Xu Ke’s calm smiling face, her eyes swept across his face for a while, yet failing to discern a hint of that man.
"You need to wipe your eye boogers!"
Upon hearing, she immediately touched her eyes. Xu Ke sat up, his eyes flashed, and his dark pupils changed color once more.
"Everything else can be disguised; only I have this! Now, do still think I’m dead?"
Watching this unfold, the woman was stupefied for a long time before biting her gums, lunging fiercely.
"You bastard, do you know I almost cried my eyes blind for you? I don’t care; couldn’t take your virginity back then, tonight I’m giving you mine! See if you dare to insult me again!"
