Supreme Heir Son-in-law-Chapter 1090 - 1089: Revealing True Feelings
Early the next morning, sunshine bathed the entire earth.
People living in Jiang City always seem busy, coming and going.
Early in the morning, Lin Yi packed up his things and got out of bed. Last night truly scared him a bit.
Growing up, it’s the first time he’s encountered such a thing, such a man.
No hint of tolerance, just constant demands.
If she just ran away, presumably, no one would be able to find her by then. So what happens to this marriage without its leading lady?
The outcome is something everyone can guess.
"Yiyi, where are you off to so early? What do you want to eat today, I’ll make it for you."
Nanny Wu just got up and saw Lin Yi already by the living room door, curious whether Lin Yi was heading out.
Lin Yi heard Nanny Wu speaking to her.
"Oh, oh, Nanny Wu, I’m just heading out for a bit, don’t worry. I’m just going out for a run."
Lin Yi told Nanny Wu she had already arranged to go jogging with Tangtang and Guoguo in the morning and would have dinner after returning from her run.
Nanny Wu believed it, and now she’s still waiting for Lin Yi.
Little does she know, Lin Yi left Jiang City early in the morning, aware that if she married into Suzhou, she certainly wouldn’t be happy.
Rather than put up with it, it’s better to truly escape early on.
Leaving Jiang City, Lin Yi felt everything was delightful wherever she went.
Never having visited these places before, seeing all this unfamiliarity filled her with curiosity.
As the day grew dark, still she hadn’t found a place to stay. Lin Yi felt a bit at a loss; it was her first time leaving home.
When she first left, she hadn’t considered this issue.
And now things have taken a turn.
She really doesn’t know what to do next.
Watching the passersby on the street grow scarcer, her phone battery was down to less than thirty percent.
Now, she must find herself a place to stay; otherwise, the night could be quite dangerous.
Meanwhile, Nanny Wu at home waiting for Lin Yi was in emotional turmoil. He had been out for so long, why hadn’t he come back, could something dangerous have happened?
Walking back and forth in the living room, Nanny Wu remembered Lin Yi’s father had left early for work after a simple breakfast.
What to do now, Nanny Wu kept comforting herself that it must be the kids went playing and she’d soon return.
The hands of the wall clock turned round and round.
Now it was already past three in the afternoon. Still no trace of Lin Yi? Nanny Wu realized that things perhaps weren’t as simple as she imagined.
Where exactly had Lin Yi gone?
Nanny Wu worried for Lin Yi. From childhood to present, Lin Yi had never really left home. If she truly had left, she wouldn’t have much survival capability; what if something dangerous happened?
These problems were right in front to be solved.
She pondered whether to call Huyan’s family; if the three girls were together, she’d be much relieved.
But as an outsider, could she solve such a matter this way?
What if the chairman found out and blamed her?
Nanny Wu’s heart was torn, caught between Lin Yi’s safety and her role as a servant where she shouldn’t meddle?
What now, it’s really quite troublesome.
Just then, the doorbell of the villa rang loudly, Nanny Wu thought it was Lin Yi, and hastily opened the door.
But the person standing outside the door left her even more at a loss.
"Yiyi, you’ve finally come back. You don’t know, Nanny Wu was really worried about you, how could you be out so long without knowing to return."
Nanny Wu spoke quickly with her head lowered, seeing no reaction from the other side.
Only then did she look up.
It turned out to be the Su couple!
Why were they here, hadn’t Lin Yi’s wedding been postponed, why come now?
Could something important have happened.
Su’s mother noticed Nanny Wu seemed a bit nervous.
Logically, a servant shouldn’t be this nervous seeing them, they weren’t her masters.
What was she nervous about?
"Hello, I’m the former chairman of Su Group, and this is my wife."
Su’s father explained politely, surprisingly extending courtesy even to an outsider.
Truly a glimpse into their demeanor.
Though this time, Lin Yi really made up her mind; since she chose to leave, she wouldn’t return easily.
At least, she wanted her father to know that she internally opposed and rejected this business marriage.
But now that nothing’s to be gained from saying this, best to find a place to stay here in this foreign land.
All else can be addressed later.
"Oh, okay, okay, please come in."
Madam Su and Mr. Su entered without seeing Lin Yi around, puzzled.
He couldn’t figure out where Lin Yi went so early in the morning.
Why wasn’t there any sign of her.
"Hello, would you like something to drink?"
Nanny Wu always thought wealthy families had unique tastes with many affairs.
So better to ask beforehand.
This way, there wouldn’t be any mishaps, appearing as if they mistreated guests.
"Oh, no need for trouble, we’ll just have some hot water. No need for so many formalities."
Madam Su spoke politely.
Nanny Wu previously heard others say Madam Su was unreasonable, yet today she seemed quite courteous.
Could it be something had happened?
Perhaps today was some significant occasion.
"Alright, then please wait a moment, it’ll be ready soon." Nanny Wu prepared the hot water according to Madam Su’s request.
This truly seemed more straightforward than rumored.
Madam Su scanned around, not seeing Lin Yi anywhere this early in the morning, thinking where she could have gone.
Wasn’t it said Chairman Lin educated her well, why isn’t she here now?
"What are you doing?"
"Just wondering why Lin Yi isn’t home, I’m just checking." Madam Su murmured softly.
But now it’s hardly surprising, as if he was accustomed to this situation.
Nanny Wu stood aside awkwardly; none of the villa’s masters were home, leaving her, a servant, with nothing to say.
She could only serve tea and pour water, capable of nothing else.
Yet she realized that Madam Su wasn’t as terrifying as rumors made her out to be.
She had many differences from others in various matters.
"Madam Su, Mr. Su, our chairman left for the company very early today, and isn’t home now. If you wish, I can call him to notify."
Nanny Wu politely shared her idea.
Upon hearing this, Madam Su instantly refused. "No need, let him focus on work, the company has lots to do, no need to notify him, indeed we came without prior notice, it was our oversight."
Her words left Nanny Wu unsure how to respond.
