The doors behind the Generals closed with a mighty sound, and the Generals almost jumped in shock! The Generals turned around, and they saw that a few Machina soldiers had closed the doors! The Generals began to murmur amongst themselves as they wondered what was going on here! The Grand General turned towards the soldier who shut the door and nodded his head, and the soldier nodded back! This was a skill that Alex had picked up from one of the mages that he consumed a long time ago! It allowed him to split his body into multiple parts, and each of the parts could take the identity of anyone that he had consumed! Right now, there were well over a thousand soldiers in the world of the Machina that were just copies created by Alex, and the soldier who closed the door was also one of them.

"What is going on here!? I want an explanation this instant!"

One of the Generals immediately stood up and glared at the Grand General with intense anger! It was obvious that this entire situation was no longer ordinary, and the Generals were not going to sit there and allow the Grand General do whatever he wanted! But before anyone could say anything else, there was a sudden jolt of power that passed through the entire throne room! The power pressed down on everybody as the Overlord’s magic suddenly began to grow at an exponential rate, and the Generals could only watch in shock as the Overlord suddenly began to transform right before their eyes! A black slimy substance poured out from the Overlord’s skin and flowed over the ground, and the Overlord tripled in size as his entire body began to turn into a giant black slime!

"W-What the hell is this...?"

"That’s not the Overlord? This can’t be real!"

"Someone is impersonating the Overlord! We’ve been tricked!"

"This transformation! I’ve heard about this before! This is a Chimera! A Chimera Slime consumed the Overlord!"

"Kill him! Kill the impersonator!"

All the Generals got to their feet and began to bring out their weapons as a vindictive anger filled their hearts, but Alex’s power suddenly doubled in intensity, and the Generals all fell to their knees as the full might of a Rank III TITAN slammed into them! The Generals here were all around TITAN Rank I and below, so there was no way any of them would be able to withstand so much power! The Grand General’s lips split into a sadistic smile as he heard the screams from the Generals, and with only a single thought, Alex charged forward!

[One Dimensional Leap Away From Machina]

Boom!

A sonic boom echoed through the air as Gillian tore through the Xina skies while making her way to the location for the next Dimensional Leap! Gillian’s face was set in a passive look of nonchalance as she moved forward, but her body was covered in a red hue of blood magic that swirled and pulsed angrily to show the true feeling in her heart! Even though there was a massive yellow sun in the sky, Gillian wasn’t affected by it at all since she was a Blue Sun Dead Apostle Vympir, and unless she went to a world that had a full Blue Sun, then there was no lesser sun that could affect her! Gillian would only feel slightly weakened since it was daytime, but since she was so powerful, the effects of the yellow sun were basically nonexistent!

Boom!

Another sonic boom echoed through the air as Gillian tore across the sky, and the trees in the forest below all swayed to the side as they felt the massive aftershock of Gillian’s departure! Gillian continued at this speed for a few more seconds before she finally stopped in a seemingly unimportant area just outside the massive forest, and she put her hand forward and released a significant amount of mana! A massive Dimensional Tear formed in the sky and opened a door directly towards the world of the Machina, but the moment Gillian tried to step into the Dimensional Circle, she felt a power reject her, and she was repelled out of the circle again! Gillian’s brow furrowed in anger, and she tried to enter the circle again, but the same thing happened, and Gillian was starting to get visibly upset from the situation!

’Come to me! Right now!’

Gillian immediately called out to her subordinate, and she could feel her subordinate responding to her call and flashing across multiple worlds as he quickly made his way towards her! Gillian stood in a long black gown that was torn and tattered, and her shoulders were bent forward in a slouch that made her look like a lion ready to pounce! Her breaths were coming out in harsh puffs, and it was obvious that she was itching for a fight!

"My lady, your humble servant has arrived."

A voice came from above, and Gillian looked up to see Jason slowly floating down towards her. Jason had his hands behind his back, and there was a sophisticated expression on his face as he looked down at his mistress! Jason’s eyes were a dark, piercing red that shone with the same brilliance as Gillian’s own, and his skin was now so pale that it seemed like there was no blood in his body at all! Jason’s mana had finally stabilized since his transformation was complete, and the Vympiric side had managed to subdue Jason’s actual personality, so at this moment, Jason’s entire being was dedicated to the service of Queen Gillian.

Jason slowly floated to the ground, and he bowed his head and waited for Gillian’s orders.

’His evolution is almost complete. I didn’t think it would take such a short time for him to regain his senses.’

Gillian’s face squeezed in genuine surprise when she saw Jason acting and talking regularly without experiencing any aggressive episodes or lashing out! There was a set progression for how someone bitten by a Vympir was supposed to change over the first few hours after being bitten. During the first twenty-four hours, the Changeling would experience a lot of aggressive episodes, and they would sometimes lash out or even kill anyone who was unfortunate enough to be around them! It was during this time that most Changelings would go around killing innocent creatures in order to quench their bloodthirst, and there were even Changelings that would kill their own family in their blind aggression! But after the first twenty-four hours were over, the Changeling would have gotten through the worst part of the transformation! In the second phase, the Changeling would begin to gain back their rationality. At this point, the Changeling’s personality would shift from what they once held towards a more sophisticated and loyal mindset. It would almost be as if they were a completely different person, and the greatest emotion in their heart would be loyalty to the Dead Apostle that made them! The Changeling would no longer kill indiscriminately, and they would slowly begin to awaken their Vympiric powers and their desire for blood. The third stage of the transformation was something that happened over the next few centuries. It allowed Changelings to finally break out of the control that the Dead Apostles had over them and become a true Vympire, but this was something that most Changelings never go through, and at the end, the only person who could release a Changeling from their pledge of loyalty was the Dead Apostle themselves. Most Changelings never get released by their Dead Apostles, so they live the rest of their lives in servitude to their masters.
