It’s been about a year since her last visit to Ding Long’s company, and she didn’t expect things to change so much here.

Ding Long was in a meeting room holding a meeting with his subordinates when he heard from the assistant that Ding Jinshi had arrived. He froze for a moment, nodded to the assistant, and instructed them to take Ding Jinshi to his office, while he continued to lead the meeting. However, everyone could see that Boss Ding’s demeanor started to become impatient, and his speaking pace suddenly got faster.

The meeting was concluded by Ding Long within ten minutes of Ding Jinshi’s arrival at the company. He left the assistant to handle the follow-up matters and strode back to his office.

"How come you’re here? Did Aunt Xi tell you I’d be back for lunch?" Ding Long pushed open the door and saw Ding Jinshi spinning around in his chair, seemingly a bit bored from waiting.

"She told me." Ding Jinshi nodded, "Have you had breakfast yet?"

Ding Long glanced at the watch on his wrist and smiled, "I forgot, there was an urgent matter at the company, and I’ve been busy since I got here."

"I know you too well!" Ding Jinshi stood up, took the food box placed on the coffee table at the side and handed it to Ding Long, saying, "I personally made some dumplings for you, hurry up and eat while they’re hot. How can you skip breakfast?"

Ding Jinshi emphasized the word "personally," with a hint of eagerness to earn some credit.

Evidently, Ding Long also noticed it, so when he opened the food box and saw the mixed filling and dough separated inside, he understood it was definitely Ding Jinshi who made the dumplings, without Aunt Xi’s help.

"Feeling sorry for your man?" Ding Long walked over and hugged Ding Jinshi, lightly pecking her rosy lips before picking up the spoon to eat. He seemed to savor them delightfully, not at all like eating a messed-up dumpling but as if tasting some rare delicacy.

"Is it tasty?" Ding Jinshi smiled broadly, her eyes like glistening autumn waters, almost brimming with joy.

"Of course, the dumplings made by my wife are delicious. Do you want to try them too?" Ding Long affirmed without hesitation.

Who doesn’t love hearing good words? Pregnant women especially love hearing nice things.

Ding Jinshi burst into giggles, but when she saw Ding Long scooping a spoonful to feed her, she quickly showed a disdainful expression and turned her face away. Truth be said, she herself was not happy with the dumplings she made, yet Ding Long could enjoy them with delight.

"Ding Long, don’t strain yourself too much. Although we’re expecting two more kids and I am not working anymore, don’t push yourself to the limits with busyness. Look at you, almost like a panda already. I’m worried that someday your eyes could go blind from excessive work, and you wouldn’t be able to see my stunning beauty!" Ding Jinshi sighed deeply, though she joked shamelessly, her genuine concern was unmistakable, "I’ve also restrained myself a lot lately, haven’t been going shopping, and from now on I won’t buy things recklessly, won’t squander money."
