Star Gate-Chapter 1663: Killing Sixth Ranks (V)

Within the darkness.

The Sword Sovereign was ready to make a move. He felt that the two youngsters had done very well for themselves, much better than anticipated. It was time for him to take the field!

He would kill the two sixth ranks next to Li Hao first, then work with Void to kill the others...

The opportunity was at hand!

Just as the Sword Sovereign was about to make his move, he suddenly paused and suppressed his dao ripples. Surprise widened his eyes when he processed what he sensed.

“Where there is dao, there is the destruction of a myriad of dao methods!” murmured Li Hao. Supernatural characters appeared in the air; they immediately assembled into a massive dao domain.

Currents of different dao ripples appeared, taking only a moment to materialize a massive dao star. Life and death, emptiness and revitalization!

The dao domains were interlinked, emptiness expanded, and all methods fell silent!

Red Moon strength was immediately dismissed, startling the ambushing sixth rank. What was going on here?

The interconnected dao domains seemed to resemble a book, which most surprised the Sword Sovereign. The... book of great dao? Had Ole Zhang taught his methods to Li Hao?

Yu Xiu jerked with shock, the remaining half of his body completely pulverized. His dao mark had just manifested when the book of great dao clamped down on it. The dao mark cracked apart into multiple pieces and transformed into rays of light that became part of the minor domains!

Dead!

The Red Moon exalted emperor behind Li Hao was equally startled; he summoned Red Moon strength again to break through Li Hao’s hold. The man aimed for his target’s head! 𝕗𝚛𝚎𝚎𝐰𝗲𝗯𝗻𝚘𝚟𝚎𝗹.𝕔𝐨𝕞

“Over there!” Li Hao growled when the Sword Sovereign sought to protect the young man.

The latter understood and promptly whirled around, stabbing toward Bloodlust’s group. Li Hao did not need rescuing!

The little fellow had exceeded expectations and really killed a sixth rank. And judging from the look of things, he wished to exchange blows with a major world sixth rank while he was at it...

It was very normal that the first sixth rank to die was Yu Xiu, but not expected that Li Hao would be behind it. A ray of sword light illuminated the world!

The Sword Sovereign struck with formidable sword intent, obliterating the darkness. Void was slightly dejected. Damn it, Hao Moon killed someone before I did! That blows!

The sword was unsheathed and the world split apart!

Soul Eclipse was scattered to the four winds when he took a sidelong glance. A descending sword struck him like an ambushing seventh rank. His physical body was obliterated and his dao mark appeared for only a split second before it was pulverized too!

Am I... dying? wondered his fading consciousness. It’d only taken a moment, but he seemed to have been killed. I thought I would have an easier time being on the fringes, but... I was the first one killed!

No, Yu Xiu died before I did.

But... he’s just a wandering cultivator. What good is he for? I’m a seventh rank from a major world!

...I’m dead! The sword light extinguished the last vestiges of his dying thoughts.

An explosion rang through the world, illuminating it. Darkness had been upon it before, but was now no longer. The world of emptiness dispersed before the Orchid Forest exalted emperors outside the formation could sense anything. All they knew was that the scene flashed before their eyes and then...

There were two sixth ranks fewer in the Red Moon delegation and eight fewer low ranks. It’d taken only a blink of an eye for ten exalted emperors to disappear!

“Sword Sovereign!” bellowed Bloodlust, startling everyone awake. It was the Sword Sovereign! New Martial! He’d killed a sixth rank with an ambush that was too fast to be believed. Two sixth ranks had died in a heartbeat!

“Descend!” As the sword domain appeared, a myriad of swords landed. Li Hao and Void erupted at the same time, overlaying the domains of emptiness, a myriad of daos, and sword dao!

The triple layer of domains suppressed the world!

Orchid Forest ground to a halt for a split second as the Sword Sovereign waved his sword once more, hacking down with his weapon.

Another loud rumble sounded as a Red Moon sixth rank exploded!

Kaboom!

A blood-colored longsword flashed across the scene, breaking through the power of suppression. There were suddenly only three exalted emperors left! The one facing Li Hao went as white as a sheet and quickly retreated!

Three had died before anyone understood what was happening!

Bloodlust snarled with outrage as he retreated, Red Moon power shaking the world. A dao universe seemed about to descend as he pointed an incredulous finger. “The Sword Sovereign, king of Silver Moon, and Ming Tang!”

It was them! Clarity’s death had to do with these people!

The changes had come too quickly to be reacted to; the group gaped. The Sword Sovereign had killed two sixth ranks in the blink of an eye. How was only still a sixth rank??

This was incredible!

The unexpected had taken place!

Red Moon had also lost two sixth ranks now, a fact immediately perceived by the seventh rank outside Orchid Forest.

Everything had happened too quickly!

The world master was stunned and fearful at first that a seventh rank had come, but then realized... a seventh rank had come!

“Get out of my way!” ...is it not him? Griefstricken blinked. If it wasn’t the Orchid Forest master responsible, then who was? Had this person killed two of his comrades and then left Orchid Forest?

The Orchid Forest master didn’t say a word as he furiously absorbed the dao strength of the three exalted emperors that’d died, as well as that of the low ranks. Li Hao and his group hadn’t absorbed any of it, leaving it for the world master to use when verifying his dao as a seventh rank.

One had to say, these people kept their word and their strength was terrifyingly formidable. The Silver Moon king could kill a sixth rank by himself!

It was just... this amount of energy fell a bit short.

The Orchid Forest master was well aware that he needed more energy from another sixth rank, at least one more. Maybe even two. Yu Xiu’s dao strength had been too much of a disordered mess. It wasn’t as pure as that of those from Red Moon. The same went for the wandering cultivators.

“I know what has taken place,” responded the Orchid Forest master as his mind raced through calculations. “I’m handling it and preparing to come down on those people. But... you are not permitted entry, sir. This is Orchid Forest! I’ve already been generous in letting Bloodlust and the others in.

“If any seventh rank can freely come and go from my world, Orchid Forest will fall if they decide to attack from the inside! If you wish to force entry, you will incite a death feud with Orchid Forest and force me into fighting to the death!” A crazed light glinted in the world master’s eyes. “I can have the Orchid Forest exalted emperors move as quickly as possible to take out the lunatics killing Red Moon exalted emperors, but you are denied entrance!”

Griefstricken glared coldly at the man. His world master had said that he could kill the Orchid Forest master in a critical moment!

The Orchid Forest master really thought of himself as something, huh! Two sixth ranks were already dead, he was in no mood to obey the world master’s arrangements!
