Triune: The broken path-Chapter 55 - 54: escape
..Drooovom... It seemed space was sucked into something with an absence of sound. Muyin growled as he was hit by something and flew out...
Kael was released immediately and fell down.
Boom...
Kael fell to the ground as a terrifying aura rushed towards him... he knew this was a creature at the same realm as Muyin... The aura was terrifying.
Kael also knew this was his chance to escape. He struggled to stand as a piercing pain shot up his bones and he trembled. Most of his bones were broken. Some had healed a bit, but the healed ones were nothing compared to the broken ones.
His head was drenched in sweat as he trembled. He knew he couldn’t move like this, and if that creature appeared, he would die. Two kings couldn’t be on the same mountain... the fact that it attacked Muyin showed it wanted to fight him.
Their battle would kill him in his current state.
"Oblivion..."
Kael had no choice but to enter this form again. All the pain disappeared as Kael moved, spanning thousands of miles in a few moments...
Although it seemed he was fine, Kael knew he couldn’t last long... this form was one he couldn’t maintain.
After running for ten minutes, Kael collapsed, falling from the gigantic mountain.
Before he lost consciousness, his eyes managed to glimpse something...
Space... shattering... that purple-black void of nothingness appeared, making him grin as he lost consciousness.
*****
At the battlefield... Muyin came out of the rubble of a destroyed mountain, gnashing his teeth.
On his chest was a one-meter-wide hole that passed straight through him...
He was injured with one strike. No doubt, the creature that was coming was terrifying.
A hissing sound was heard as golden flashes of light were seen.
Trees fell to the right and left as a one-hundred-meter-long snake appeared. Its head was eighteen meters wide as it rose up.
Its golden scales gleamed under the sunlight as Muyin frowned.
His heart was racing... this was definitely a Starry Beast, and it was at the same realm as he was. Minor God (Middle Stage)...
Roar...
The snake opened its mouth as a roar escaped its giant maw...
Muyin’s eyes bulged as he struck his own chest and roared back...
A beastly roar echoed as Muyin’s mind spun... 𝒻𝑟𝘦𝘦𝘸ℯ𝒷𝑛𝘰𝓋ℯ𝘭.𝘤𝘰𝘮
Why is it here? Ever since he had broken through and evolved into an Asura member, he had felt the aura of the monster at the core of the Fasis Forest. It was this monster... now it stood before him.
Was it the battle with Kael that caused it to attack me???
No...
Even though Starry Beasts are arrogant and terrifying, still they wouldn’t attack me. After all, I have the Asura bloodline an equally terrifying bloodline...
Muyin thought as he looked into the Starry Beast’s eyes...
All he could see was rage and murderous intent. It wanted to kill, and specifically, it wanted to eliminate... Muyin.
Why??
Muyin’s mind spun until it finally hit him... Golden scales, snake body... snakes lay eggs, right?
That meant the egg he was looking for was this Starry Beast’s egg... meaning he was face-to-face with a World Eater Snake...
And worse it was still young... a juvenile.
Muyin looked to the side, searching for Kael, but didn’t see him, and his anger increased...
"Damn it! This beast thinks I ate its egg?" Muyin thought, shocked...
Since he was near where the egg was, the beast had probably sensed it. With his strength, it would likely assume Muyin was the one who took it.
"That puny insect... I will kill you!" Muyin roared as he stood face-to-face with his weakness... a juvenile World Eater Snake.
*******
A large distance away, at the entrance of the Fasis Forest, a beast emerged. Its size was huge standing twenty meters tall and fifty meters long, with white, gleaming fur on its back.
Beautiful... elegant... majestic...
Its paws were equipped with sharp daggers, and its blue eyes were like the cosmic sea of the universe. It was majestic and awe-inspiring...
This was Joren...
Current realm... Minor God (Low Level)...
"This is one heck of a huge opportunity," Joren thought happily as he dashed out of the Fasis Forest.
Just then, he felt an intense energy wave as his eyes squinted together...
"Two Minor God Middle Stage auras?" Joren was shocked.
Last time, he remembered Muyin was the only one at this realm. Did that mean Kael had grown to this stage...?
"Dangerous..." Joren muttered as he increased his speed to the maximum...
Breaking space like fragile glass...
****
In the area where the two gigantic auras clashed, a loud sound constantly rang out as their bodies collided...
Muyin was being beaten, but he was slowly gaining control of his strength more and more until finally...
He could fully control his strength and now had a complete understanding of the Minor God realm...
Boom...
Muyin punched the snake’s head, and the collision created shockwaves that disintegrated everything in their path...
The whole Fasis Forest was a mess trees, rocks, mountains obliterated with little to none left.
Although the fight with the World Eater Snake was draining, and since it was his weakness, it was already a losing battle... he was still learning.
Pow...
He went head-to-head as he struck the beast’s head.
Its head snapped back as it hissed and flicked its tongue.
This gave Muyin a chance to breathe as he tried to recover—or at least let his wounds heal.
"Beast, think! I am not with your egg. I didn’t devour it... do you really want to fight me to the death?" Muyin asked. His body was in terrible shape.
Various wounds could be seen. Holes were torn open in his body as blood gushed out like water.
The snake paused for a while. Muyin almost breathed a sigh of relief, thinking the beast understood, but he couldn’t relax for long before a tail swipe smashed into his face.
Boom...
Muyin felt dizzy as everything blurred and seemed to move in slow motion.
His huge body crashed into the ground, creating a thirty-meter-wide crater.
Muyin truly felt he was close to death. But it wasn’t over—the snake began coiling around him.
The cold scales of the snake made Muyin’s body crawl with dread, but he felt powerless to resist. The last strike had been sudden, catching him off guard—a killing blow.
"That Kael..." Muyin thought, remembering the human as he felt the enormous force wrapping around his body.
It seemed the snake was about to begin its constriction.
