Chapter 64: Secrets no more (2)

Leon paused for a moment and asked her one important question.

"Master, how do you feel after hearing all this?"

He hoped she didn’t change because of the things he had told her. It did seem he was some cliche chosen one, and she could even feel betrayed because of his identity.

He was holding his breath to hear her answer.

Seraphine noticed his nervousness. It seemed to her that he thought she would change because of it. She felt a bit annoyed to know this, as her love wasn’t so shallow—he should have been aware. But at the same time, she understood how big a thing it was for him. She was the first person he had shared these things with.

She felt quite happy to know this fact and forgave him for his lack of sense in her heart.

It doesn’t matter who he was before. He was her Leon, the boy she had picked up. The memories she had shared with him were all real. The boundless love she had felt for him was also real. Nothing can change these things for her.

And he even died at the tender age of 16. If he had been older, she would have felt a bit weird for a moment, but that was only it.

The family she had now—nothing can change that.

"Hmm, master felt nothing other than deep surprise because of how special my Leon is."

She did give a small hug afterward, while stopping herself from sniffing him and doing other things she wanted to do with him after the bite he had given to her.

It was just a nice, comfortable hug, which Leon appreciated quite a lot.

After the hug ended, Leon didn’t stop and continued.

He explained up to the point when it was time to get his class, which took longer than he had anticipated, only because of his master’s.

It was unexpected for him. Never would he have expected his master to cry. She started crying out of nowhere when he told her how he nearly died, and the only reason he survived was because of one of his treasures, which merged with him.

He had to be her emotional pillow for a whole fifteen minutes, her face buried in his chest. He comforted her by caressing her back for all 15 minutes, and repeated many times that he was fine and wasn’t going to leave her—she didn’t have to cry now.

At the end, only with a promise that he would never leave her, she did stop crying. Kaela did tell him master was more vulnerable than he had seen. He saw it firsthand now. He promised to never make her cry. She was the one who was crying, but he also felt the pain in his heart because of it.

After she had stopped crying, she was quite docile. Her eyes and nose were a bit red. Despite that fact, she looked stunning as ever, or it even enhanced a bit of her charm with her flowing purple hair, her amethyst eyes, with her beautiful face.

It made him want to just protect the poor thing, but he knew, despite how she looked, she was very strong.

"Master, my actual class rank is not A rank but instead SSS rank."

She tilted her head cutely in her confusion to his explanation of rank, as she had never heard of such a thing. So he had to explain to her what ranks come after the A rank and the SSS rank.

He can even see that there wasn’t even a look of shock on her face now. It seems to him she was getting used to it. She didn’t seem to have any desire to know more than what he had told her. After his explanation of everything, she didn’t ask anything from him anything.

Well, he told her everything, which could be the reason she didn’t ask anything.

Her behavior had also returned to normal.

"So Leon, your stats are even higher than mine, only at level 6 because of your class rank, and you have an absurd amount of mana because of the orb you merged with. And not even that—you have affinity to all the elements in the world, which you aren’t even aware of how many there are in total."

’My disciple is a monster living in human skin.’

She knew it wouldn’t be long before he would surpass her quite easily. Right now seemed the perfect opportunity to fight him as an equal, which was why tomorrow would be when they would have a fight, not just a sparring match like they used to.

Leon only nodded in response to her words.

"Master, do you want to come to my room so we can try to go to my dimension, which I mentioned, where time was 1000 times faster than outside? We can train together there."

Seraphine felt quite tempted for a moment, but she denied his request for today. She would like to visit that realm tomorrow after their fight is over.

"I will join you, but not today—tomorrow after we have a fight as equals."

She had seen a hint of hesitation on his face for a moment. She didn’t like that one bit.

"Hmph! Don’t underestimate your master just because you have so much mana and your stats are a bit higher than mine. Master has a secret weapon of her own, and I am much more experienced than you. I would be able to handle you for now."

"Just worry about yourself, my cute disciple. You will lose if you let your guard down. Master was going to go all out tomorrow."

Leon only hesitated because he believed that if they fought, this mansion would be destroyed. He loved living in such a luxurious place, and more importantly, he didn’t want any of them to get injured. So his determination to learn the life element increased even more.

"You are talking about your Lightning Aura, master, aren’t you?"

Seraphine was shocked this time, when she had thought he was getting used to it.
