Chapter 110: Chapter 110—Final Stretch

Linda was also snapped awake by those words as she rose to her feet.

"Let’s head over as soon as possible," Cole said while preparing himself.

"For this we need to use our academy uniforms,"

The others nodded.

"It is either now or never; this is our final chance," Cole said.

Changing outfits as fast as they could, the trio headed out of the room to head over under Bryan’s lead.

They stopped at Mr. Evans’ room on their way to see the guard’s leader’s condition.

They found him wriggling on the ground, having regained his consciousness.

"You will have to go back to sleep," Cole said while approaching.

But Linda must have been faster than he was. She arrived in front of the guard leader and sent a heavy kick to his skull, directly knocking him back unconscious.

After that little delay, the trio had already resumed their journey in full swing.

They rushed through the slums with full force, with Bryan in the lead.

The people of the slums could at best see a blur but couldn’t make out what passed by.

The longer they ran, the closer they got to the outskirts of the slums.

This place was much less occupied, and the buildings were well spaced.

"This would be a good battle zone," Cole thought.

"We will be arriving very soon," Bryan said.

In the distance, a creepy building stood lonely in place. All other buildings are quite far away. Inside it sat a man that wore a dark trench coat, and in front of him were two men in similar attire.

"Cole Bremont," the man muttered.

"You have found the hornet’s nest again, then I must welcome you," a dark smile formed on his face.

"You two stay and protect the offerings; I have a guest I would love to receive."

The moment he stood up, the ground beneath his feet began shifting as he left the room almost instantaneously.

"Yes too," the two said.

The approaching team’s location made Bryan’s eyes suddenly widen.

"He is approaching extremely quickly," Bryan said.

Linda’s eyes widened, but a smile just formed on Cole’s face. 𝚏𝕣𝕖𝚎𝚠𝚎𝚋𝚗𝐨𝐯𝕖𝕝.𝕔𝐨𝕞

"As expected," he said in a low voice.

"When he arrives, you two should go on ahead; leave him to me," Cole said to his teammates.

The two turned to look at him.

"Are you sure you can handle him alone?"

"Trust me," Cole said with a smile.

The other two decide to trust Cole reluctantly when they see the confidence in his eyes.

"Alright, the—"

Linda wasn’t done speaking when Michael arrived directly in front of them.

"Welcome, Cole, you actually came looking for me," Michael said coolly.

"Bastard," Cole shouted.

"Head on, guys," Cole turned to his teammates.

As they planned, the other two rushed forward and ran by Michael.

Micheal didn’t even attempt to stop them; he completely ignored them while he was only focused on Cole.

"Let’s begin then," He said while cracking his fingers.

The instant he said those words, the ground beneath his feet shifted, moving him directly behind Cole.

Was already prepared with Kinetics Acceleration as he sprinted to the side.

"This stupid trick again,"

"Why aren’t you using your flaming ability?" Micheal asked.

Cole didn’t respond; he just stood his ground a distance away while waiting for Michael’s next move.

"Let’s get serious then," Micheal said while Rock pieces began forming all over his body until they coalesced into full armor.

"A single attack mustn’t hit me, or I will be completely gone,"

Cole was right about that; the strength increase brought about by the dark energy plus that earth armor gave Micheal crazy lethality.

Cole didn’t wait for Michael to attack; he used his better understanding of Kinetic Acceleration to his advantage.

He activated the ability and began blitzing from one corner to another to gain momentum.

The instant he got enough momentum, Cole sprung a strain on Michael with all he had.

Cole turned to look at him with full confidence, not putting up any sort of guard at all.

"Perfect," Cole thought.

He arrived in front of Michael, and with air-compressing Force, he sent a punch flying straight at his chest.

Cole was still standing unfazed with no intentions of blocking.

Cole’s attack arrived in front of him and hit his chest with heavy impact.

Unlike the armor-shattering effect expected, Michael just took three steps back before a smile appeared on his face.

"Is that all?" Micheal taunted.

Cole didn’t wait in shock; he quickly took more steps back to increase the distance between them.

"Mtly turn then," Micheal said.

Instantly, the ground shifted beneath him, and he appeared straight in front of Cole with his now large hand raised for a punch.

The fist came down with almost ten times as much force as Cole’s previous punch.

It fell with so much force that the ground beneath them began cracking.

"oh shit," Cole thought as he felt the shockwave accompanying the punch.

He quickly tried looking for a means to escape, but he just couldn’t find any in the short time.

Michael’s current state was too large, so it covered everywhere.

Just when the attack was a hair’s breadth from hitting Cole, he activated Kinetic Acceleration.

With his knee bent, he sprung away through the space between Michael’s large legs.

The attack continued on its part and ended up hitting a building behind Cole.

Rumble! Rumble!

The building rumbled loudly before cracking all over and collapsing to the ground.

On the opposite side, Cole cleaned off the blood on his lips with his eyes locked on Michael.

"Damn, just the shockwave was enough to injure me so much,"

"I better go all out then," Cole thought.

Sparks of lightning began taking shape around his body as he activated the Lightning coat.

Micheal watched Cole with a slightly raised eyebrow.

"New petty tricks," he muttered.

Just like he did earlier but now with a lightning coat, Cole blitzed around to gain momentum before heading straight for Micheal.

His force now was extremely high; the synergy between his abilities was in full bloom.

Due to his overconfidence, Michael didn’t attempt to block again. He just stood there.

In no time, Cole arrived in front of him, and it was then Michael felt it.

Tiny lightning penetrated his armor, zapping him strongly, but it was too late now.

Cole’s attack landed heavily, sending a large flux of lightning straight into Michael.

The lightning was so powerful that smoke started rising from all over Michael while his armor was charred black.

Thud!

Micheal fell heavily to the ground.

"Earth heavily conducts lightning, idiot," Cole said.

Before he could continue, his eyes suddenly widened in shock as he noticed Michael forcefully picking something up.

It was a Black crystal.

"oh shit," Cole thought.
