SpiderGwen: I have a system?!-Chapter 149 - : The Gem and Movements

[3rd POV]

Staring at the gem in front of her, Gwen breathed out as she felt its power. The item in front of her was created by the being known as "Cyttorak" the Ruler of the "Crimson Cosmos" and a higher entity.

Cyttorak was FAR above Gwen at the moment, as he was stronger in the "Marvel Totem Pole" than even Dormammu, and was one of the most powerful magical entities in the entire multiverse. In his own dimension, he was able to effortlessly defeat 1/5th of the Phoenix Force which is far more impressive than it sounds.

He was basically a Nigh-omnipotent entity that was not explained fully in the comics. And from what Gwen knew from all of her lives, even they didn't know his true power, as he had never actually shown it. But she knew that he was at LEAST stronger than Dormammu, and was likely superior to even Cthon who was...another bag of worms.

The fact that she could feel the call of the Gem so powerfully, meant one thing, and that was that Cyttorak wanted her as his avatar. And while she is certainly interested in becoming that avatar, she knew that he was...rather destructive in nature, and she'd rather not turn into a mindless being hellbent on destruction. So instead, she was going to wait until she was a bit more powerful, and had more abilities in line with mental control, before touching it.

That, and he'd have to wake up the Lords of Order and Chaos first, as once they wake up, she was confident that she could fight off his influence through them. As if they had risen as far as she had estimated, they were approaching the comic levels that they had in the DC mainline universe. And Nabu in that universe was...ridiculous. As in, able to fight God's Vengeance, Spectre.

But until then, she would wait and grow, while putting the gem away into the Tower of Fate, where it could be kept safe, and untouched by others. And the best part was, that Cyttorak wouldn't be able to create another gem, for only one could exist at one point in time.

"I know you can see me, ruler of the Crimson Cosmos. And while I will not become your avatar yet...if you give me some time for when I am ready, we can speak about me becoming one. And trust me, it'll be worth it, that much I think you can sense" Gwen spoke out loud, knowing the being could see her clearly.

She felt a gaze on her, as it washed over her she just kept still, not fighting it as it seemingly "Hummed" in approval?

'Interesting. Perhaps he can sense the destructive tendencies of some of my other lives? I mean, I was planning on sowing destruction as he asked, but in another universe, like the Marvel Zombies one, perhaps my other lives will be enough for him? Afterall, even I don't know why he wants to cause destruction' Gwen thought, knowing that a being like Cyttorak was mysterious, even to her.

Raising her hand, a soft glow emanated from it, as a portal opened under the Gem, as it slowly floated through. On the otherside was a magical pedestal created by the Tower. Said pedestal was quite literally covered in wards, runes, and various ancient magics that could restrain the gem. It was this pedestal that would hold the gem until Gwen was truly ready for its incredible power.

The Crimson Gem

Details - Claim the Crimson Gem of Cyttorak for yourself! An incredible feat considering the power of the entity who had created it.

"That's rather...rewarding. But I guess when you steal an item from a nigh-omnipotent that can obliterate universes with laughable ease, you'd naturally get rewarded accordingly" Gwen muttered, surprised at the reward, before claiming the tickets in the form of 1 SSL Ticket.

[SSL Character - Mori Hui (Post Power Absorption)]

Blinking several times as she read the character she had gotten, Gwen's eyes shot wide as she recognized the name and who it was related to "This...this is the clone of Mori Jin, also known as...Sun Wukong" Gwen muttered, remembering him from God of Highschool. He had all the powers of Mori Jin, but to a weaker extent. He also had all the man's fighting styles and even some that he didn't have. As well as the ability to copy martial arts with a singular glance with

ease.

Gwen didn't even have the chance to react before the power and memories began to get rapidly assimilated into her, as the techniques of the Monkey King entered her skull. Like Renewal Taekwondo, Monkey King Mode, Full Contact Karate, but not all of them were complete, like they were with Mori Jin.

The memories were...incredible, even to her standards. The martial arts were far better than most of her own techniques, and the power he possessed was incredible. She could feel her already incredible martial arts refine and grow rapidly as she adapted to what she saw, and the new memories that floated about in her skull.

The total assimilation only took a few moments, but that few moments was huge for Gwen, as she felt her own body change to accommodate the new changes that was brought about. A being like Sun Wukong, even if it was from a manhwa, was an incredibly powerful being. Although this version of him didn't have the immortality or most of the abilities of the original, she was still pleased with the new addition.

With the new character done and assimilated, Gwen let out a small grin, as she decided to return to the school, happy with her little adventure.

In a large room, three people sat at a long table. One sat at the head of the table, and the others in front of him at his left and right.

At the head of the table was a bald man with an eyepatch, a rather....recognizable man. This man was Nick Fury, the current director of SHIELD, a secret government organization that deals in...a lot of areas really.

At his right was a black haired attractive woman, who had a rather serious "No joking" face. This woman was known as Maria Hill, his right hand woman.

And at his left, was an attractive redhead woman that was...quite seductive in appearance. She had an equally serious look on her face, due to the topic they were conversing about. This woman was Natasha Romanoff, also known as the Black Widow.

"Romanoff, how the hell did you lose the shadow?" Nick asked with a frown.

These "Shadows" were mysterious people who had appeared around the world, and had been saving people in waves. From war, from robberies, anything you can think of. They were also wiping out entire trafficking rings, Cartels, and were actively saving a lot of people. But they were also causing a lot of issues for certain...individuals, including SHIELD, as many of their missions had fallen apart thanks to these shadows.

Fury had tasked the woman to track one of the shadows in hopes of finding out where they were coming from, and who they worked for. They were an unknown variable, and he hated unknown variables. Especially ones that could potentially be a threat.

"Sir I wouldn't have lost the shadow but-" "But what Romanoff? You better have a damn

good explanation!"

"It disappeared in a burst of smoke, sir. I think... I believe that the "Shadows" are in fact, mutants, or perhaps one singular mutant" Natasha replied, looking her boss in the eyes.

At these words, Nick looked at her before processing what she had said, as various dots began to connect, and the likelihood of this being the case grew. He had been trying to contact Xavier recently, but the man had been strangely quiet.

"That motherfucker...Hill, ready the jet, we're going to New York"

"Yes sir, do you want me to ready a team?" Hill asked which caused the one eyed man to shake

his head.

"No, no, I'll be going with just you and Romanoff. No one else needs to get involved" Nick replied as he got to his feet, a frown marring his face as he spoke one final sentence.

"It's time to go and see a professor"
