Chapter 424: The Final Zodiac?

"So why are you here Jamie?" Morgan asked after the situation had calmed down a little bit. He was aware that Greg was not a huge fan of Jamie given their past but he couldn’t berate his brother outright, especially since he technically hadn’t seen him in 3 months.

"Can’t your adorable little brother come looking for his one and only big brother whenever he wants?" Jamie responded, trying to act cute by winking while holding his hands close to his chest. However Morgan looked utterly unphased while Ethan started having an existential crisis.

That’s a guy?! How is THAT a guy? Brain! Answer me this: How is this a dude?!’

However, seeing that his attempt had fallen flat, Jamie’s expression soured as he clicked his tongue in annoyance.

"You’re no fun, you know that, right?"

"So I have been told." Morgan responded as if it was the most natural thing in the world.

"Would you believe me if I said I was hoping to see you getting it on with Greggy?"

Morgan’s brow furrowed as he continued to stare at his brother, waiting for a proper answer. Greg’s breath caught in his throat as he felt his own temper flaring. Was Jamie really saying that he was expecting Morgan and him going out?!

"What the fuck are you on?!" Greg snapped which caught Adam and Leo by surprise. Up until today, they had never seen Greg really lose his cool but now, this was definitely an eye opening experience.

Jamie tilted their head, a smug little smile spreading across their face, completely unphased by Greg’s flaring temper. "Oh, come on, Greggy. You and my big brother getting it on? It’s not so far-fetched, really. Considering what I know..."

Greg’s entire body stiffened, his jaw clenching visibly. Rage flared in his eyes as he took a step closer, ready to explode.

Jamie, sensing the perfect moment, brought a hand to their mouth in a teasing gesture, letting just a mischievous glint show. "Besides," they said softly, "don’t forget... I was your ex, Greggy."

Greg froze mid-step, a faint blush creeping up his neck. Adam, Leo, and Ethan all went completely still, their jaws dropping as the revelation hit them like a thunderclap.

Jamie leaned back slightly, clearly enjoying the chaos. "Yep. Your ex."

Greg’s face went redder as he snapped, pointing at Jamie. "That’s a load of bullshit! You... you totally misled me! I thought... I thought you were a girl!"

Jamie’s grin widened, tilting their head in mock innocence. "I never said I was a girl, Greggy. You just assumed."

Greg’s fists tightened at his sides, but the blush refused to leave his face. He opened his mouth to argue, but Jamie cut him off with a small, smug shrug.

"You really should be more careful about jumping to conclusions. Especially when it comes to someone like me."

Adam muttered, barely audible, "I... I did not see that coming."

Leo’s eyebrows shot up. "Yeah... wow."

Ethan’s hands flew to his face. "Brain... stop malfunctioning! How is this even possible?"

"You are fucking impossible!" Greg roared wanting nothing more to punch Jamie in the face at that moment. Recognizing that he was genuinely angry now, Jamie quickly retreated to behind Morgan’s back.

Leo stepped forward, ready to intervene before Greg really lost it, but he froze mid-stride as a soft chime echoed in his ears. The familiar tone of the System. His body tensed as a small translucent window appeared before his eyes.

[System Notification: An individual compatible with a Zodiac Sign has been detected.]

Leo’s eyes widened in disbelief. His mind raced as he struggled to comprehend how Jamie who was grinning like a cat who had just stolen the cream while teasing Greg was compatible with the last Zodiac.

Adam caught the sudden change in Leo’s expression. He knew that look well. The faint stiffness, as if he was staring at a System Notifcation Screen. He then leaned closer and asked under his breath, "Is it what I think it is?"

Leo hesitated for a second before giving a small nod. The realization hit both of them at once. The final position of the Zodiac Circle had been found. Jamie Raelic.

Adam exhaled through his nose, somewhere between disbelief and amusement. "Of course it’s him."

Greg was still being restrained by Morgan, cursing under his breath while Jamie peeked out from behind his brother’s shoulder with that infuriating little grin plastered across his face. "You still mad, Greggy? Come on, I thought we had something special."

"Shut up before I regret not finishing what I started!" Greg barked, struggling against Morgan’s grip.

Jamie tilted his head, completely unbothered. "Oh, don’t be like that. You’ll give yourself wrinkles."

Morgan sighed, clearly at his limit. "Jamie. Enough."

Jamie only laughed. "You always ruin my fun, big brother."

Leo’s focus returned to the System notification still hovering before his eyes. The last Zodiac. That meant their circle was complete, but it also raised questions. Why Jamie? And what kind of power would the Horse represent?

Adam leaned a bit closer again. "You gonna tell him?" he murmured, nodding toward Greg, who was still fuming.

Leo gave the situation another look—Morgan trying to keep Greg from lunging, Jamie sticking his tongue out playfully, and Ethan standing off to the side looking like his brain had short-circuited.

"Maybe not right now," Leo said quietly. "Let’s wait until everyone’s gathered. Preferably when Greg’s not about to commit murder. That way we can put it to a vote."

Adam chuckled under his breath. "Fair enough."

Ethan, still reeling, turned to them both with wide eyes. "Hey, uh... is it wrong that I’m kinda jealous of Greg?"

Adam and Leo turned to him in unison, their expressions perfectly flat.

"You’re an idiot."

Ethan looked utterly offended but Leo and Adam decided it was best to ignore him any further. After thinking about it for a moment, Leo went to his change of clothes and grabbed his phone.

Why wait for morning. It was time to call the girls and have the decision be made. He would tell Greg what the meeting was about after everyone was gathered.

Leo could only hope that adding Jamie wasn’t going to be adding too much chaos to the Chaos Pantheon
