Sinner System-Chapter 410: Kai’s Birthday (Part 1)

Hm...? Something smells real good...

I let out a yawn as I slowly opened my eyes, before stretching my arms out and looking around, spotting Aria to my left.

"Hey, handsome...happy birthday," She greeted me with a warm smile, before leaning over and giving a kiss on the cheek as I sat up.

"Mm...thanks, beautiful," I smiled in response, before letting out another yawn.

Today’s the 6th of September, 2170, my twentieth birthday. We went to sleep pretty early last night, not long after Cleo left.

And I’d just woken up to a mouth-watering, tantalizing scent.

There was a tray of food set on the bedside table, Aria set up the bed desk thing over my lap and placed the tray on it, before I gulped slightly as I salivated.

This looks good...

"Wow, not sure where to start," I remarked as I licked my lips.

"I’d recommend this. I was actually trying to make hash browns, but I kept messing it up, and then I got an idea. I think it turned out pretty well," She smiled, as she nodded at a bowl on the tray.

In it was a pile of chopped up hash browns, mixed with with minced beef and fried onions, and topped with a cheese sauce and a light pinkish sauce.

I picked up a fork and got a good chunk of the hash brown mixture on it, making sure to get a bit of everything.

I lifted the fork up to my mouth and took a bite, the sides of my jaws trembling slightly as a burst of flavor coated my taste buds.

The hash brown bits are nice and crunchy, the minced beef is savory and has a peppery spice to it, the onions and cheese complement the flavors nicely, and the other sauce seems to be a mix of garlic sauce and some kind of hot sauce, adding an extra kick to it.

This is good!

"I think I could eat this all day, it’s delicious," I grinned, as I wolfed it down.

"Yay, I’m glad you like it! Try the other stuff too," She replied with a cheerful smile, as I glanced at the other options she’d set up.

"Oh, these are egg hoppers, right? I haven’t had these since I was a kid in my previous life," I remarked, picking up one.

It’s a Sri Lankan dish that my mom made a few times when I was a kid, it’s a crispy, bowl-shaped pancake-like thing, with a runny egg in the middle.

Aria had topped the egg with pepper and some chili flakes, and there was some chili paste on the corner of the plate.

I folded the hopper and smeared some of the chili paste onto it, before taking a bite...wow, it’s not exactly the same as I remember, but it’s definitely a nostalgic taste.

"How is it?" Aria asked me hesitantly.

"Oh, it’s great...the outer part is perfectly crispy, the bottom is nice and soft, and the egg is the perfect consistency. The spices and chili paste add some nice flavor and kick to it too," I nodded, as I took another bite.

I then picked up a glass of chocolate milk on the tray, taking a sip...hm? There’s a slight different sweetness to it...

"I mixed milk chocolate, white chocolate and hazelnut spread into milk, and then added some salted caramel to it, hope you like it," She remarked with a smile.

Caramel, that’s what it is! Yeah, this combo works great...

"It’s amazing, so rich and creamy. It’s really heavy though, I might not be able to finish everything else if I drink it now, so I’ll save it for the end of the meal," I decided, taking a couple more sips before reluctantly setting it down.

"Oh, wait, you’ve got some on your upper lip," Responded Aria, before leaning it and slowly running her tongue across my lips, adding as she leaned back with a smile, "There we go."

"Appreciate it," I grinned, reaching over to pat her head, before turning my attention to the last dish on the tray.

A bowl of narrow bread sticks, covered in cinammon sugar and some kind of sticky syrup, with a bowl of chocolate dip in the middle.

I picked one up and dipped it into the chocolate, before lifting it towards my mouth...huh, it’s so light and flaky, it feels like pastry.

I then took a bite, a slight crunch ringing out as a pleasant sweetness coated my taste buds.

It’s a pastry strip dipped in caramel and coated in cinammon sugar, and there are thin strips of strawberry inside. And the sauce, it tastes like a mixture of the same ingredients used in the chocolate milk.

"Hope you made enough for yourself, because I want you to eat with me. To start with...," I trailed off, before picking up another pastry strip.

I dipped both ends in the sauce, before holding one end between my teeth and turning towards her, leaning forward slightly.

She paused for a moment, before leaning in as she realized what I was prompting, biting the other end.

Our lips steadily drew closer and closer to each other as we both bit through the strip, bit by bit, our lips meeting and pressing onto each other.

I caressed her lips between mine as I cupped her cheek with my left hand, gently caressing her skin with my thumb.

"Mm...tasty," She smiled as she pulled on my lower lip and ran her tongue across it, before dipping her finger in the chocolate sauce and holding it up to me.

I smiled before clamping my lips around her fingertip, giving it a light, playful bite before twirling my tongue around it and licking up the chocolate, eliciting a giggle from her as she squirmed slightly.

"That kinda tickles..."

"Heh, maybe I should pour the chocolate sauce all over you and lick it up," I suggested with a playful smirk.

"I, uh...that’s actually one of the activities I had planned for today," She responded sheepishly, averting her gaze before adding with a slight huff, "It was supposed to be a surprise, though..."

"Oops...my bad."
