Signing-In: The Lazy Moon Goddess-Chapter 670: No one to save you

The Moon Goddess chose not to get involved with her own family and let the government handle them. She didn’t want to be morally threatened by her own bloodline. There is also the fact that her grandmother, Su Hialun, who would most likely ask them to be pardoned, is no longer in this realm. It is impossible for them to escape their punishment this time.

The family of Qu was startled to hear someone directly knocking on the door when usually guests would be blocked at the gates and they would be informed before the gates were to be opened. Now this knock was directly heard on the door of the house this means the visitor had reached the mansion without them knowing.

"What the hell are the guards doing?! Why didn’t they call us before letting the visitors in!?" Madam Qu complains as she heads to the telecom and checks the cameras.

Mr. Qu and the eldest daughter of the Qu family understand what is happening. This means the guests do not care about the laws about privacy and territory. There are only two kinds of groups that are possible to do such a thing. First are criminals who like to tease and scare their targets and second are the ones controlling the laws of this realm. In the case of the Mortal Realm before the existence of the Foreign Cultivators, it was the government controlled by the Long Clan.

As expected when Madam Qu checked on the cameras it was all intentionally broken and only black screens remained. This sign just made the others more nervous while angering Madam Qu.

"What the hell happened to the cameras!? Who broke it again!?"

"So annoying! Who let those people in the gates!?"

"Stop knocking! I can hear you alright!"

Madam Qu had walked towards the door. Before she could react, the man outside the door had grabbed the door to prevent her from closing it. Ling Wen appeared which startled Madam Qu. The madam didn’t recognize Ling Wen right away but Mr. Qu, who likes to watch the news, knows that he is from the government and the right hand man of the old leader, Long Juedi. His face turned pale upon recognition. As he also heard about the news before that the Yue Family is close to this person who can be considered a part of the Long Clan.

Mr. Qu’s thoughts at the moment, ’If that person from the government is here, that means that Yue Xuexia has indeed returned. That means she knows everything we have done and that she no longer wants to get involved with them, leaving everything to the government to handle. This also means that the whole thing will be done impartially. This is something I don’t want to see.’

The breadwinner of the Qu Family gestured to her eldest daughter to make a phone call.

He whispers, " Call your grandmother."

The eldest daughter of the Qu can be considered the smartest in the family after the father. She immediately knew why her father was asking her to contact her maternal grandmother. If there is someone who can help them it can only be their Grandmother Su Hialun.

Unfortunately, for them they didn’t know that aside from the Moon Goddess everyone else had not returned to the Mortal Realm. There is no one to beg or to ask for help. They can only pay for what they have sown themselves. As expected, the eldest daughter of the Qu family panicked when no one had picked her call.

She said with a pale face, "Dad, Grandma is not answering. It seems to be out of coverage."

"Try and try until someone answers. If there is someone who could move your cousin it can only be your grandmother. If she doesn’t help us our family will be over as your cousin will never forgive us," Mr. Qu said.

With a grim expression, the eldest daughter of the Qu family continues to contact Su Hialun but the response from the call is out of coverage. Meanwhile at the door, Madam Qu is giving Ling Wen a stink eye. Even though he is handsome she cannot accept that there is no respect coming from him at all. Instead, she feels like this man is looking down on her despite the smile on his face.

"Who the hell are you? What are you entering my house for? This is trespassing! I’m gonna call the guards and police!"

"Madam, we are from the government and that means the police are on our side," one of the men who followed Ling Wen in said on his way inside the mansion.

Ling Wen looked around and recalled the appearance of the mansion from the last time he visited when the Yue Family were still the ones living here. He frowned seeing the homely structure from before changed to overt luxury. There is too much gold and it looks so crude for someone with aesthetics. The more he looks around the greater things are replaced as if this is already a different house from how he remembers.

"This place has changed a lot. Where are the original things?" Ling Wen asked casually.

Snorts~

"This is already my house so everything else, especially the old cheap things, were sent to the warehouse. Everything was thrown back there!" Madam Qu said.

The faces of Ling Wen and the people of the government frowned at these words. This only meant that the original things of the Yue family were treated like trash and placed in the warehouse randomly. They couldn’t have the audacity to do such a thing. Not only they stole someone’s property, they even destroyed the original things in the house.

Madam Qu was telling them how amazing her house is and the changes she made to create such luxury but no one from Ling Wen’s side was listening to her nonsense at all and instead surrounded the whole Qu family which made everyone panic, especially Madam Qu.

She asked, "What are you trying to do? Who the hell are you people?"

Ling Wen pulled a command order from the government. This is one of the warrants which the people of Huaxia can avail to the government as long as they provide enough evidence that their properties were seized illegally during the invasion. The government will help that person as long as it involves the foreign cultivators. Like those clans or families who betrayed their country for their own advantages.

The Qu family was no different from the betrayal of the Huaxia. After all, Yue Xuexia’s properties are one among the countries that run the economy of this land. That’s why the foreign cultivators wanted to seize it. Having her company is no different than controlling the livelihood of the people of this country. When the Qu family sold the information of Yue Xuexia to the invaders, they were considered traitors of the realm. That’s why everything they got after the invaders came will be considered as not originally theirs.

"This is a warrant to arrest trespassers. The owner of this mansion, Miss Yue Xuexia, had provided evidence that her mansion was seized by your family while she was away and it was done without her permission. Your whole family is now under arrest!"

Ling Wen showed them their arrest warrant and gestured to his subordinates to capture everyone from this family. The men behind him all made their move and one at a time, they grabbed Madam Qu and everyone else.

The only son of the Qu family is a Peak Foundation realm cultivator. Seeing that these people tried to catch him and his family. He struggles and uses his qi to fight them.

"Unhand me! I am a Peak Foundation Realm cultivator! I will not let myself be captured by you damn things!" He shouted.

Ling Wen narrowed his eyes dangerously and with a single step he had appeared before the son of the Qu family and instantly crippled him. Once the source of his qi was destroyed, his whole body weakened rapidly and fell on the ground like an old man.

The son of the Qu family realized what was done to him and with bloodshot eyes he glared at Ling Wen.

"How dare you cripple me!!?"

"This is the command of the goddess. You are too greedy and she can no longer turn a blind eye." Ling Wen said as he glanced at his subordinate asking them to grab this man and drag him away with the rest.

AAAHHH!!

"How dare that bitch!? I am her aunt! She cannot do this to me! To us! We are her family! The old lady will never allow such a thing!!" Madam Qu shouted.

Ling Wen said, "Unfortunate for you, only the Goddess had returned this time. As for the rest of her family, they had all ascended to the world beyond ours. They are no longer in this world."

"That means... No one is there to help you~"

Upon hearing this news everyone in the Qu family finally realized why Yue Xuexia had never appeared before them. Not only has she had enough, there is no need for her to come.
