Signing-In: The Lazy Moon Goddess-Chapter 636: Old Man

Suddenly being asked by the old man if she is from the outside, the Moon Goddess didn’t seem surprised. She met the serious eyes of the old man and saw no malice from within. Adding the fact that he is a kind soul who is willing to stretch his hand to save a stranger like herself, Yue Xuexia chose to give an honest answer.

Yue Xuexia said, "We’ve recently entered the Ancient Ruin as a gate opened in our world. I got separated after passing through the gates."

The old man’s face loosened upon hearing Yue Xuexia’s words. He had observed her indifference but when she met his eyes straight, he knew that this young lady was not lying. She isn’t one of those bastards who wanted to kill for fun.

"Thank god, you aren’t one of them," the old man said.

Yue Xuexia felt interested in the topic the old man had mentioned and said.

She asked, "What is the senior talking about?"

It’s Yue Wuya, the Second Prince of the Everlasting Moon Empire. Following after him are few of his people and friends. Yue Wuya approached and looked around and finally found the bonfire with traces of people left behind.

"Hm? What the hell is this smell!?"

"It smells so delicious!"

"Look at the grill! Did the people leave it behind?"

"Do you think we can eat it?"

Everyone was looking at Yue Wuya who is the leader of their group. They saw him approach the bonfire and were looking around for something. He can definitely feel a similar presence in this area.

"A trace of someone’s Moon Domain. Is it someone from our group?" A knight from the Moon Palace asked.

Second Prince Yue Wuya shook his head lightly after capturing the scent of lotus flowers in the area.

"No. It’s my sister," said Second Prince Yue Wuya responded.

His friends, Ye Yan and Shi Wu were stunned. They knew that their friend had sisters. The youngest one is a twin who was recently born and the one that is supposed to be dead but recently reborn.

Ye Yan said, "It’s not possible for the twins. They cannot enter this kind of place at such a young age."

"Is it her?" Shi Wu asked.

Yue Wuya nods his head. Since knowing that this bonfire was left behind by his sister, he didn’t hesitate to grab a stick of meat over the fire. As long as it’s something his sister made, Yue Wuya would eat it.

Shi Wu was nervous. He said, "Oi!? Is it time for eating? Are you going to find her?"

"No need. She is stronger than me," said Second Prince Yue Wuya. "Moreover, according to brother and dad, she might not remember us yet. If we chase after her, especially after running like this, she might mistake us as an enemy."

"She didn’t have her past life memories?" Ye Yan asked as he sat near the fire beside Yue Wuya.

Seeing them like this, he sat with them and also grabbed a stick of meat over the first. The scent was simply too tantalizing for him to ignore.

"Can we eat?" Shi Wu asked as he unconsciously swallowed while staring at the meat in his head.

Yue Wuya said, "Go ahead. My sister must have been making this before she took off after sensing our presence."

He didn’t expect that once they took a bite it would be so good and it’s a spirit food that increases affinity with nature and adds a buff effect of healing.

Ye Yan covered his mouth and commented, "This is... a high-grade Spirit Food!?"

"This taste must be a Heavenly Cow at least Early Mahayama Realm. Your sister is amazing!" Shi Wu said.

Their group took over their bonfire and started eating the food that was meant for Yue Xuexia, the old man and the children. Once the old man stopped running he saw a pair of eyes glaring at him. It’s just hard for him to get scared as some of these eyes had tears on them.

He had spoken a bit of scolding before he noticed these eyes.

Yue Xuexia patted the crying child’s back to comfort him and make him stop crying.

"Don’t cry, Xiao Jin. Mama can still make some more," said the Moon Goddess

Sniff!

"R-Really?" Yue Huajin asked.

His siblings started talking to add more comfort for the youngest.

Yue Huaxue said, "Mommy is right!"

"We will catch something even more delicious!" said Yue Hualei. "So don’t cry anymore, Jinjin."

Under the comfort of his siblings, Yue Huajin started laughing again and even asked his sister to carry him. The three started playing at the corner and laughter echoed in the area.

The old man noticed what he has done and felt even more guilty now.

"So-Sorry... I was just... its instinct."

"Old man, we don’t blame you. Don’t worry. We knew, you only think the situation is dangerous but still dragged us away with you. You have a kind heart," said Yue Huashui.

The Moon Goddess said, "Thank you. I have calmed down now. Let’s find another place to rest."

Old man Wu was shocked when he heard the strange surname of the young lady. Though he felt something was wrong , the two character names are not unique. It’s just rare.
