SIGNING IN: BEING SHOWERED BY HEAVENLY BLESSINGS FOR FIVE YEARS-Chapter 1017 - 1014: THE SEARCH BEGINS
Before leaving, they couldn’t help but leave advice to them. "Be careful to poke a hornet’s nest," fearful of what kind of thoughts Zara might have because of this.
From what they have seen so far, Zara wasn’t interested in the family business at all. She just wanted to have fun and make up for the time and youth that she lost.
And yet, because of these siblings, her ideas might change. So far, she was the only one disregarded of ability, who can take everything that these siblings have. That’s how biased the elders, themselves and Cade were when it comes to Zara.
If they add that scary lady Diamond who shut everyone up a while ago and Amir, a very rich man from a secret clan, they didn’t dare imagine the future at all.
And yet these siblings ..... they couldn’t help but feel pity for them.
Meanwhile, in the living room, Ashley was laughing mockingly as she looked at her half-siblings.
"I might be an illegitimate child and a freak in your eyes, but at least I understand what Zara is like. That little thing just wants to play and be happy and in two years she would be married and living in Rozinya. Away from this place. In other words, she doesn’t pose any threat to you. In fact, with her help in the future, our family will become untouchable. That’s the hidden ability that Zara possesses!" Ashley couldn’t help but angrily chide her siblings.
After seeing so much in Rozinya, she was in awe of Zara and Diamond. Zara was somehow connected to a deity. How dare they offend a deity?
What if she curses them with illness?
If a goddess can heal an ailment, what makes her incapable of causing one?
The thought of dying mysteriously without even knowing what’s killing you sent shivers down her spine.
Feeling angry and disappointed at them, she didn’t even continue what she was saying and left the living room.
What if she offends the goddess because of her words as well? She might as well let those fools deal with the situation on their own.
The rest looked at each other, confusion in their eyes. Since they weren’t in Rozinya, they didn’t know what truly happened there, so they were at a loss.
However, in the room, there was still one person who held the information. All eyes suddenly turned to her.
Selena sighed dejectedly as she looked at her children. She regretted pushing them all the time and encouraging them to never give the others a chance, but this time, she knew that they were doomed.
Never expecting her children to participate in refusing and objecting to helping find that book in time, Selena felt cold sweat dripping on her body.
Whenever she recalled how that goddess seemed to be smiling benevolently at Zara, she shuddered.
She stood on her feet as she looked at the children and their mothers and said, "My advice right now is to pull in every resource and find that goddamn book. You don’t want to mess with your sister or that Diamond person! Don’t offend both!" she warned before leaving.
However, they interpret the whole thing, that was their own business. As long as she does her part. She just hoped that they would be enlightened and stop being guarded.
With Selena gone as well, all of them looked at each other before Irene, Ashely’s mother, asked, "Just who is that Diamond person?"
Unfortunately, there was no one to answer that question.
Fearful of what Zara or the elders might do, every child, after leaving the mansion that night, gathered their forces to search for the damn book.
A bounty was placed on the Dynalis underground market and that bounty attracted a lot of interested parties.
So, this search no longer was the Hansley’s issue but involved many parties as well.
With the movements the family was making, it shortly became known to several parties that the Hansleys were interested in finding the book.
Their interest in this book made their adversaries and partners curious as to the reason why the whole family was interested in a mere bounty of a few million when they were loaded.
And that reasoning led them to think more than just that. Maybe the book was so meaningful and possessed some secrets and the Hansleys wanted to have a share.
With that absurd thought, the search involved a lot of parties. With just a drawing available, libraries and bookstores were turned upside down in search of the book.
However, after six days, the book was a no-show, and that made the Hansleys family to be shrouded in gloominess.
History seemed to be repeating itself and honestly, Zara this time was very scared.
Fortunately, there was Diamond and with her help, she might be able to find more information on the book.
Later that night, everyone gathered, waiting for Diamond to do what she knows best.
"Are you sure that we can depend on her?"
"Yes, this is something serious. Others couldn’t find it. Then how could she?"
The siblings started again, and those who knew Diamond’s abilities kept quiet and ignored the blabbering mouths.
After an hour or so, Diamond appeared and her expression was so solemn Zara’s heart sank.
That wasn’t a good news expression, and it made her panic a lot.
However, no matter what news Diamond brought, she still needed to know it. Only when the news is in her ears, can she plan what to do with the future.
Diamond joined everyone in the living room and looked at everyone with a somber expression.
"I will not waste everyone’s time and simply tell you what I found!" she said as her gaze landed on Zara, her feelings mixed.
Zara forced a smile at Diamond, giving the other a reassuring smile and said, "Just give it to me as it is!"
And once those words were said, Lena, Cade and the elders were panicking. Amir thought he didn’t show it. His hands were shaking so badly, thankfully they were hidden so no one saw them.
Diamond nodded at Zara before looking at the parents and announced, "I managed to find the location of the book. It’s in Kuville City but as for where exactly, I didn’t see a single thing. So, for now, we can only narrow down to here!" her tone was very heavy.
These people had been searching all over Kuville City as well, and yet nothing was seen. Even if they were to search, where can they find it?
Even Diamond had been trying to find that damn book, and yet nothing was sensed.
From the way she saw the book, the book should be carrying some death aura on it. As long as she finds any death aura anywhere, then the book might be found. And yet with every clue she got, she came to a dead end. She was going crazy as well.
As soon as that news was shared, Zara felt dizzy and her body shook as if it was going to fall. Fortunately, Amir was sitting next to her. He caught her easily, calming the heart of Lena, which nearly jumped out of its cage upon seeing Zara’s response.
"This, child .... Is there anything else we can do to find the book quickly?" Erica asked Diamond, hoping for something better, but Diamond shook her head.
"I am afraid that for now, I really don’t have anything to give. I will keep on trying and I will never give up. I will never lose!" she said, vowing, her tone very firm and determined as she looked at Zara.
There was so much at stake for her at this moment, and losing wasn’t an option at all.
Zara faintly smiled as she looked at Diamond, appreciating that Diamond was willing to help her all the way.
However, at this moment, she could feel that her enemy was winning and there was no hope at all.
She felt disappointed in herself. She wanted to continue holding onto that hope, and yet she found herself failing.
After announcing such upsetting news, Diamond left to find more ways to deal with the current situation.
Meanwhile, Zara and her family members were all silent. No one dared to utter a word.
Looking at everyone who was thinking probably the same as her, Zara felt her eyes stinging. Tears were pooling in her eyes.
Just like everyone else in the room, the reality was in front of them.
It was going to fail this time. The glimmer of hope was tiny, and if that book was found, then it would be a miracle.
"We will find it! We will search everywhere until we do!" suddenly Lena started mumbling to herself as she got on her feet, her eyes cloudy, tears gathering in her eyes.
Zara, seeing that, wanted to say something to ease her mother’s pain but found out that she couldn’t at all. Instead, she started crying, failing to stop herself from doing so.
The others watched as mother and daughter embraced each other as they cried. Unknowingly, whether they liked it or not, sniffles and snorts could be heard in the room. It was a mess.
As for Amir, he left the room altogether, wanting some breath of air and alone time to sort out his messy thoughts.
The future suddenly became bleak, and he wasn’t willing to give up easily like that.
